Kanzashi is a New Game+ weapon. Finish the main story, start a New Game+ run with your clear data, then check your weapon inventory. Sources disagree on whether it appears as soon as NG+ begins or only after a later scene in which Brad hands it over, so continue through the early NG+ story if it is not there immediately.
How to unlock Kanzashi
- Complete the main story. The post-clear guide lists New Game+ as an unlock after finishing the game.
- Start New Game+ using your clear data. The guide describes NG+ as beginning a new run with clear data carried over.
- Check your weapon inventory and continue the story. If Kanzashi is not there at the start, progress through NG+ and watch for the scene where Brad hands over the weapon.
Both reviewed guides say Kanzashi is unavailable on a first playthrough and requires NG+. They do not agree on the precise award moment: Nerd’s Chalk says it is added to the inventory automatically when NG+ starts, while the unofficial Beast of Reincarnation WIKI places it at the later Brad hand-off. Neither source establishes a definitive current build or platform-specific timing, so there is no reliable basis to promise one exact moment.

What Kanzashi does
The unofficial weapon database lists Kanzashi at 27 base Attack and gives it the “Robes of Reincarnation” effect: a light barrier that slowly restores HP. Its listed duration increases with enhancement:
| Enhancement | Reported barrier duration | Other listed detail |
|---|---|---|
| Base | 3 seconds | 27 base Attack |
| +1 | 4.5 seconds | Upgrade cost: 1,000 Amber |
| +2 | 6 seconds | Upgrade cost: 3,200 Amber; Power 3 |
| +3 | 7.5 seconds | Upgrade cost: 5,800 Amber; Power 5 |
These are values reported by the unofficial database, not independently verified measurements. The database does not establish that Kanzashi requires a hidden chest, optional boss, or side quest.

How New Game+ relates to Reincarnation+
New Game+ is the post-clear route described by the guides. AppMedia also identifies Reincarnation+ as a difficulty available only in NG+ and says enemy attack increases with the number of loops. That makes Reincarnation+ a separate difficulty consideration, not an additional Kanzashi unlock requirement established by the available sources.

AppMedia’s post-clear guide and the weapon database agree on the NG+ requirement, while Nerd’s Chalk reports the immediate-inventory timing. The weapon database labels itself an unofficial fan-made wiki, and no official help page or patch note confirms the exact award event. Game Freak director Kota Furushima’s PlayStation Blog announcement identifies the game as a PS5 action RPG launching August 4, 2026; it provides game context, not confirmation of Kanzashi’s unlock steps.
