PowerPyx’s trophy roadmap reports 12 bronze trophies in Ghost of Yōtei: Echoes of Sekigahara and estimates 6–8 hours for 100% completion. Before starting, make sure you have defeated the Oni and Kitsune; reaching Oshima Coast is also necessary to complete the full trophy set. The route below follows the guide’s story-first sequence and flags the main cleanup task that is easiest to plan around.
What Echoes of Sekigahara adds
Sony describes the expansion as a story split between Atsu’s past at the Battle of Sekigahara and the present-day Ashoro Foothills. In the present, Atsu and Nagato join forces to find an ally taken by the Vipers. The expansion also adds enemy types, heavy weapons, mythic tales, abilities, armor sets, cosmetics, and new trophies. Sony’s announcement provides the official story and content overview.

How to start Echoes of Sekigahara DLC
PowerPyx says the gold Snake icon appears after you defeat both the Oni and Kitsune in the main story. To reach every expansion trophy, you must also have reached Oshima Coast. Once those conditions are met, use a Bounty Board and take the “Nagato the Handsome” bounty to begin the new area, according to the guide.
The access route depends on what you own. Sony says the physical Complete Edition includes Echoes of Sekigahara and launched October 1, 2026. Existing owners should check the digital Complete Edition Upgrade listing for their region. The US PlayStation Store identifies the game as PS5 and says the expansion content is delivered through patch v2.0 or later; downloading requires an internet connection and a PlayStation account. Patch availability was October 1 globally and October 2 in some territories, including parts of Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, so check your regional store listing for current access information. Sony’s Complete Edition announcement and the US PlayStation Store listing provide edition and download details.
#1 Best Overall
- Stunning graphics and gameplay, explore the wild and striking lands around Mount Yotei on foot or horseback. Travel picturesque parts of northern Japan through grasslands, snowy ridges, fields of wildflowers, and more.
- Discover renegade combat, engage in lawless katana combat and battles with adversaires. Train with various sensei as you find and learn to use each new weapon.
- An unconventional story and journey, take in the cultural beauty of Japan, bathe in an onsen, visit shrines to pray, try Sumi-e painting, and so much more.
- Choose your weapon, battle Atsu's opponents as you see fit, with levelled-up dual katanas, odachi, kusarigama and other new weapons.
How many trophies are there, and does difficulty affect them?
PowerPyx’s October 4, 2026 guide lists 12 trophies, all bronze, with no online trophies. It estimates 3/10 difficulty and 6–8 hours to 100%, and describes one playthrough as sufficient. These are the guide’s estimates and assessment, not official Sony statistics or independently verified completion results. PowerPyx says difficulty does not affect trophies and that Casual difficulty and accessibility features can be used. It reports no missable or glitched trophies; as with any post-launch guide, details may change with updates. See the PowerPyx trophy guide for its full list and walkthrough.
Recommended trophy roadmap
PowerPyx divides its estimated 6–8-hour route into three stages. The times below are the guide’s estimates, not independently timed durations.
Rank #2
- Discover a bold, new story of a warrior in Japan who is on her own mission of vengeance.
- Set 300 years after the critically acclaimed Ghost of Tsushima, Ghost of Yōtei is a standalone experience set in 1600s rural Japan. The story follows a haunted, lone mercenary named Atsu. Thirsty for revenge, she travels through the beautiful, rugged landscapes of northern Japan, hunting those who killed her family many years earlier.
- Sixteen years after her family’s death, Atsu’s quest across Ezo brings her to unexplored lands in search of a gang of six outlaws, but she finds much more than vengeance. Throughout her journey, Atsu will discover unlikely allies, and greater bonds than she could have imagined.
- Finish the story — estimated 4–5 hours. Progress through the expansion’s story. Keep “No More Snakes” in mind: PowerPyx says all six Ashoro Foothills bounties must be completed before the defense mission that ends “The Nature of War.”
- Clear side objectives — estimated 1–2 hours. Complete the Mythic Tale and side tale, take care of Ashoro Foothills bounties and Viper Storehouses, and visit the Dye Merchant. Save Viper Rations for Dye Trade Routes before spending them on armor upgrades; PowerPyx expects a surplus but recommends this order.
- Finish the final tale and cleanup — about an hour. Complete “The Nature of War” after the required bounty and story steps, then collect any trophies still outstanding. PowerPyx says free roam remains available after the story.
Trophy objectives that need planning
“No More Snakes”
This is the roadmap’s standout completion trophy. PowerPyx says to finish the main “Dream’s End” story and all six listed Ashoro Foothills bounties before completing “The Nature of War.” Do the bounty sweep before the final defense mission rather than leaving it for after the tale.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems“Food for the People”
Secure all four Viper Storehouses. PowerPyx identifies their locations relative to Akan Woodlands, Shrouded Claw, and Moashoro River; consult its walkthrough for the precise locations.
Rank #3
- Beyond war, ancient beauty endures: Roam vast countryside and expansive terrain to encounter rich characters, discover ancient landmarks and uncover the hidden beauty of Tsushima.
- The rise of the Ghost: Seek support from old friends and new unlikely allies to reclaim Tsushima.
- Mud, Blood and steel: challenge opponents with your katana for an immersive Samurai combat experience.
- Become legends together: play with friends or via online matchmaking in a series of two-player story missions or four-player wave-based survival missions in the legends online co-op
- A whole new island to explore: Travel to Iki Island to investigate rumors of a Mongol presence in a brand-new story with deeply personal stakes.
“Unbreakable”
Defeat Nobushige after the prerequisite duels with Soichiro, Matakichi, and Kyubee, as listed in PowerPyx’s guide.
“Free Bird”
Free the Golden Bird from its camp in the south of Ashoro Foothills. PowerPyx says the bird then points toward collectibles.
Rank #4
- Build your own zoo with over 500 different animals at your disposal, then splice together over 300,000 different animal combinations
- Keep your animals and your itors happy, with hundreds of buildings, foliage, path and enclosure decorations
- Hire the perfect employees to deal with a variety of life events
- Control everything that happens in your park, from what your animals eat to what eats your animals…
- Decide whether you want to run your Zoo above board... or break the law and pocket the extra cash
“Paths to Color”
PowerPyx says this requires finding all five main-game Dye Merchants, reaching Oshima Coast, and clearing the Colourful Dye Grounds in Ashoro Foothills. The main-game merchant requirement makes this one worth checking before you leave the base-game areas.
Where to check the complete trophy list
The objectives above cover the roadmap’s named trophies and the sequencing details most likely to affect a clean completion run. For the full 12-trophy list, including any objectives not detailed here, use the current PowerPyx guide rather than relying on an incomplete checklist.
