You can travel between Pula and Rovinj by intercity bus, and Pazin is a useful place to investigate connections to inland destinations. For any route, check the operator’s timetable for your exact travel date: departures, fares and seasonal local services can vary, and a route listing alone does not guarantee a convenient departure.
Getting from Pula to Rovinj
Pula–Rovinj is the most straightforward leg to plan. Arriva lists multiple daily services on the route and describes it as about 37 km, with a journey time of roughly 30 minutes depending on traffic. Those are route-page estimates, not a guarantee for every departure. Check the timetable and fare for your chosen date and direction on Arriva’s Pula–Rovinj route page.

Intercity buses use the bus stations in both cities. Pula’s station is at Trg 1. istarske brigade 1; Rovinj’s is at Trg na Lokvi 6. Compare the departure and arrival times, operator, date-specific fare and station locations before booking. The fare can differ between displayed services, so do not rely on a single quoted price as a universal rate.

Planning a bus trip to inland Istria
Use Pazin as a connection to investigate
Pazin is a useful inland point to check when planning onward travel. Arriva lists routes connecting Pazin with Pula, Rovinj, Poreč, Umag and other towns, and also lists a Pazin–Motovun route. These route listings identify options to investigate; they do not establish that every leg runs daily or that connections line up conveniently.

- Practical self-guided neighborhood tours
- User-friendly maps
For a trip beyond Pazin, search each leg for your travel date and confirm whether the journey is direct or requires a transfer. Check the operating day, any wait between buses, and how far the destination stop is from the town center. The available route information does not establish dependable frequencies or total journey times for every inland town. Arriva’s Pazin station and route information is a starting point for checking possible connections.
Check more than one operator where routes overlap
Brioni lists Pula routes to Rovinj, Poreč, Pazin and Labin. Where your journey is served by more than one company, compare the date-specific departures and fares on each operator’s site rather than assuming that a route operates at the same times every day. See Brioni’s route list.

Where to check timetables and station details
- Search the operator for your travel date. Use the departure and destination fields, select the date and check the direction you need. A route list is not proof of a particular departure.
- Verify every leg of an inland trip. If you need to change buses, check the onward departure and transfer wait separately; do not assume a same-day connection will work.
- Confirm station information. The Istria Tourist Board lists Pula, Rovinj and Pazin station addresses and contacts, and names Arriva, Brioni and Fils Pula as local bus transfer companies. See its station and bus information. Croatian 060 station numbers can only be dialed from inside Croatia; the page lists an international bus-information number for callers abroad. Check the page for current contact details before relying on them.
- For buses within Pula, check Pulapromet. Its site links to route lists, timetables and tickets, and posts service notices that may include seasonal timetable changes or temporary stop adjustments. Start at Pulapromet and check current notices as well as the timetable.
Local buses in Rovinj are seasonal
The City of Rovinj-Rovigno lists municipal local passenger service from June 1 through October 1. Its four concession routes serve resort or campground areas and neighborhoods, connecting with the central Trg na Lokvi area. This service can help with local trips between those areas and the center, but it is separate from intercity buses and should not be assumed to operate outside the stated season. Check the city’s local passenger transport information for current details.

A practical checklist before you travel
- Search the exact travel date and direction; schedules, prices and local service can change.
- For Pula–Rovinj, compare the departure, arrival, operator and fare shown for that date.
- For inland journeys, confirm every leg, the transfer wait and the destination stop’s location.
- Allow for traffic on the Pula–Rovinj journey; Arriva’s approximate 30-minute duration is traffic-dependent.
- Check the relevant station and local-operator notices before setting out.
