Keep them in your inventory for Vendrick; each one halves his defense, up to a maximum effect at five. The Ancient Dragon is the only repeatable source of additional Souls.

Collect the three Giant Memory Souls
The three memory sources are Orro, Vammar, and Jeigh. You need the Ashen Mist Heart to enter Giant Memories by interacting with a Giant’s remains. For Memory of Jeigh, you also need the King’s Ring to open the King’s Gate in the Forest of Fallen Giants.

Memory of Jeigh
- Reach the King’s Gate in the Forest of Fallen Giants with the King’s Ring and Ashen Mist Heart.
- Go through the gate to the Giant’s remains and interact with them to enter Memory of Jeigh.
- Defeat the Giant Lord, then collect the Soul of a Giant from the giant corpse at the end of the memory.
Memory of Orro and Memory of Vammar
Locate the Giant’s remains for each memory and interact with them while carrying the Ashen Mist Heart. Collect the Soul from the corpse within each memory. The available route information confirms these locations and collection points but does not establish detailed interior directions, so look for the corpse as you explore each memory.
Defeat the Ancient Dragon at Dragon Shrine
The Ancient Dragon gives one Soul of a Giant when defeated. It is the only source that can be farmed for additional Souls, so this is the repeatable option if you want more than the five sources available in a normal playthrough.

Find the hidden cave beneath Black Gulch
- Start at either the Black Gulch Mouth or Hidden Chamber bonfire.
- Light a torch and look over the cliff edge for a way down.
- Drop to the lower ledges until you reach the cave at the bottom.
- Defeat the two Elite Giants inside. The second one drops both the Soul of a Giant and the Forgotten Key.
Keep the Souls for Vendrick
Each Soul of a Giant you carry halves Vendrick’s defense, with the effect capped at five Souls. Consuming one gives 10,000 souls, but consumed Souls found in the Giant Memories do not respawn. Keep the five collected items in your inventory if you want their full benefit against Vendrick; only the Ancient Dragon can be defeated again for another Soul.
