To get an alert, open the Urban Outfitters product page, select the size or color you want, and join its waitlist if one is offered. Enter your email; UO says it will email you if that variant becomes available again. Not every item has a waitlist, and UO does not publish a general restock schedule. Urban Outfitters’ ordering guidance explains the available options.
Join the waitlist for the exact size or color
- Open the product page for the item you want.
- Select the relevant size or color, if the page offers those choices. Availability can differ by variant.
- Look for a waitlist link. If it appears, follow it and submit your email address.
- Watch that inbox for UO’s message if the item becomes available again.
The waitlist is the retailer’s direct restock-alert option, but it is not offered for every item. A signup is a notification request, not a reservation: UO does not guarantee that stock will still be available when you receive an email.

If there is no waitlist
Urban Outfitters advises shoppers to keep checking its website when a product has no waitlist. The help guidance does not say whether or when a particular sold-out item will return.
A page-change monitoring service is another possible fallback: it can watch a product page for changes, but it is not a UO restock alert and a page change may not mean your chosen variant is available. Visualping describes monitoring UO product pages in its own article; check its current service details before relying on it: Visualping’s Urban Outfitters restock-alert article.

Check whether the item is backordered
Some merchandise may be preorderable or in the process of restocking. For a backordered item, UO says an expected ship date appears on the product page and in the shopping bag. The retailer says it will email you if that replenishment date changes or if it cannot fulfill the item. A backorder is different from joining a waitlist for an unavailable variant: it concerns an order with an expected ship date.
Do not rely on app push notifications for restocks
Urban Outfitters’ app description mentions push notifications for order and delivery updates, as well as wish lists. It does not specifically promise push alerts when products restock. You can use the app for the features it documents, but the waitlist email is the stated channel for a product restock notice.
