To get a Zambian IP address from outside the country, use a VPN whose app currently lists a Zambia server, connect to it, then check your public IP with an IP lookup service. NordVPN’s official server list includes Zambia, but does not name a city or confirm where its server hardware is physically located. Check NordVPN’s current server locations before subscribing, since availability can change.
Choose a VPN that actually offers a Zambia connection
Check the provider’s current in-app server list before paying. A country shown on a website may not be available in every app or at the time you connect. A nearby country such as South Africa is not a substitute when your goal is specifically a Zambia-associated IP.

NordVPN lists Zambia as a country location with one city, though its location page does not identify that city. NordVPN’s server-location page explains that a regular VPN server encrypts internet traffic and replaces the user’s IP address. CometVPN advertises a Lusaka endpoint and says users can select it in its app; that is the provider’s own claim, not an independently confirmed result. See CometVPN’s Lusaka location information.
Neither provider’s cited page establishes that a dedicated or static Zambia IP is available. If you need an address that remains the same for an allowlist or other fixed-IP requirement, ask the provider specifically whether it offers a dedicated Zambia address before subscribing.

Connect and verify the public IP
- Confirm Zambia is in the app. Check the current location list on the device you plan to use.
- Install and sign in. Download the provider’s official app, sign in, and open its server or location list.
- Select Zambia and connect. If the provider offers a city choice, select the one you need; the cited NordVPN list does not name its Zambian city.
- Check your public IP. Visit an IP lookup service and confirm that the displayed IP country is Zambia. If it still shows your original location, reconnect and check the VPN configuration, then contact the provider if the issue persists.
- Test the target website directly. An IP lookup result confirms what that lookup service associates with the address, not that another site will accept it.
What a Zambia IP does—and does not—change
A VPN makes websites see the VPN endpoint’s IP address rather than your usual public IP. That does not necessarily put your device or the VPN hardware physically in Zambia. Virtual VPN locations can present an IP associated with a country while using hardware elsewhere; Private Internet Access explains the distinction between virtual location and server hardware location.
An IP change also does not by itself change GPS coordinates, your account’s country, payment eligibility, or a website’s access rules. If a particular service is your reason for connecting, check its rules and test it directly rather than assuming that a Zambia IP guarantees access.

Other ways to appear on a Zambian network
If you are physically in Zambia, a local mobile or fixed internet connection may give you an address associated with a Zambian network. IPinfo lists networks including Zain Zambia PLC, ZAMTEL, AfriConnect Zambia, and MTN Zambia. IPinfo’s Zambia network listing is network-registration information, not a ranking of consumer providers or their service quality.
For someone outside Zambia who needs a remote country exit, a local ISP listing is not a replacement for a VPN endpoint. Before choosing any option, match it to the actual requirement: country-associated IP, a named city, a fixed address, or acceptance by a specific website.
