What a Mexican IP address can—and cannot—do for ViX
A VPN with a Mexico location can make your internet traffic appear to come from an IP address associated with Mexico. That may be relevant when a service uses location to determine access, but a Mexican IP is not a guarantee of login or playback. VPN providers’ location listings are their own claims, and a streaming service may classify or block an individual VPN address.

ViX lists Mexico and the United States, among other territories, as places where its service is available. That list establishes territorial availability, not a shared catalogue or identical rights in every country. ViX also says some third-party content can be unavailable because of broadcast rights and regional restrictions. ViX’s availability list and its Premium Pass content guidance make those distinctions important.

Service availability is not the same as catalogue availability
ViX’s English help page lists Mexico, the United States, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Puerto Rico, Ecuador, Guatemala, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Bolivia, Panama, the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Venezuela, and Uruguay as territories where the service is available. It does not promise that a given programme, sports event, or subscription term is available in all of them.

Premium Pass has a narrower residency list
ViX says Premium Pass includes ViX original series and films, plus certain sports events. The pass is limited to customers residing in the United States, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Colombia, and Peru. The service’s general territory list should not be mistaken for Premium Pass eligibility: a country can appear on the first list without appearing on the second.
Even for an eligible customer, a specific title may be restricted by rights. Check the title and plan in the region where you intend to watch rather than assuming that changing an apparent IP location changes account eligibility or unlocks every programme.

Which VPN services list Mexico locations?
The following are provider-published location details, not independent confirmation of physical server location and not evidence that ViX works through those endpoints. Location lists and infrastructure can change.
| Provider | What its public information says | What that does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| ExpressVPN | Its Mexico page advertises a Mexico City location and says users can choose it for a Mexico IP address. Provider location page | Independent verification of the endpoint’s location or successful ViX login and playback. |
| NordVPN | Its current server-location list displays Mexico as one city and distinguishes regular and virtual server categories. Provider server list | A country listing alone does not establish that a server is physically located in Mexico or accepted by ViX. |
These details should be checked on the linked provider pages before choosing a service. A listing is a starting point for comparing locations, not a compatibility test or a universal “best” choice.

How to try a Mexico location and check the result
- Confirm your ViX account and plan. Check whether your plan is offered to residents of your account’s region and whether the specific title is available there. ViX’s territory page and Premium Pass guidance describe different limits.
- Check the VPN’s current Mexico listing. Look for the country and, if provided, the city and whether the location is identified as physical or virtual. Do not treat a country label as proof of endpoint location.
- Connect to the Mexico location in your VPN app. The exact menu labels depend on the provider and device. Confirm the VPN reports a connected state before opening ViX.
- Try the ViX action you actually need. Record whether the issue occurs at sign-in, browsing, or playback, and note the exact error message. A successful IP lookup is not equivalent to successful ViX playback.
- Retest carefully if the result changes. If the connection appears to be elsewhere or ViX behaves differently, try another listed Mexico endpoint if available and check again later. Avoid concluding that an entire provider does or does not work based on one IP or one session.
For a meaningful compatibility check, note the provider and selected location, the app or website and device, date and time, account or plan region, and the exact ViX outcome. This separates a provider’s location claim from an observed result for a particular setup.
Why a location checker may disagree
IP geolocation databases can be outdated or show an incorrect location. NordVPN’s support guidance explains that third-party databases do not always reflect a server’s current location: NordVPN’s geolocation explanation. A checker can therefore be one clue, but it cannot certify how ViX will classify an IP address.

If a checker reports another country, compare more than one source and verify that the VPN app is connected to the intended location. If a checker says Mexico but ViX still refuses access or playback, that result does not prove the title is available to your account; plan eligibility, rights restrictions, and ViX’s handling of the IP may also matter.
Mexico subscription offers are not universal prices
A ViX promotional help page lists an introductory Mexico monthly offer of MXN 149 and an annual offer of MXN 1,499 for eligible new subscribers. These are promotional terms, not established universal prices: ViX says prices can vary by platform, location, offer, and currency, and some content may be restricted in certain locations. Check the ViX offer page and the checkout screen for current price and eligibility before subscribing.
