To follow a live T20 match, find it in a cricket service’s live-scores or fixtures section, then open the match’s live commentary or over-by-over view. Use the scorecard to see how the innings is being built; use a statistics database for historical T20 records. Coverage and page features vary, so confirm that the service lists the competition you want.
Find the live T20 match
Start with a live-score or fixtures page and check that it includes the competition and match you want. ESPNcricinfo’s landing page groups live scores, results and fixtures across international, domestic and other cricket: ESPNcricinfo. If you cannot find a match, try the competition’s own page or another score service; coverage is not universal.

Follow ball-by-ball commentary
Open the match page and choose its live commentary or full-commentary view to follow deliveries as they happen. A match page may also offer an over-by-over view, which is useful for seeing the sequence of an innings without reading every note. For example, Cricbuzz’s match page provides Live, Overs, Graphs and Full Commentary views: Cricbuzz match commentary.
The live score gives the current match state; commentary adds detail about individual deliveries and events. Do not assume that every service covers every tournament or that one service is always faster than another.

Read the live cricket scorecard
Use the scorecard to understand how the total was made, not just how many runs are on the board. A useful T20 scorecard includes batter and bowler figures alongside innings context. Cricbuzz’s scorecard example shows these categories: Cricbuzz scorecard.
- Batting: runs, balls faced, fours, sixes and strike rate show who scored and how quickly.
- Bowling: overs and wickets help explain how the bowling side has controlled the innings.
- Innings context: extras, fall of wickets, powerplay runs and partnerships show where the score came from and how the innings changed.
Look up historical T20 match statistics
A live feed follows a match in progress; historical records need a statistics query tool. ESPNcricinfo’s Statsguru offers queries for international matches and men’s T20 statistics, with batting, bowling, fielding, partnership, team and aggregate records: Statsguru. Choose the format and record category relevant to your question rather than treating a live match page as a historical database.
