Before the start, open the start or entry list; during the race, use its live-timing or race-center page; after the finish, check the official results. For a stage race, make sure you are looking at the page for the correct stage—or the overall classification—before interpreting a rider’s position.
Where to find official race information
The organizer’s event page is usually the clearest starting point: it can identify the right competition and link to entries, live data, results, schedules, and viewing information. A governing-body hub or a timing provider may also host official information, but follow the links from the event or governing-body site to confirm you have the right page.

- Organizer’s event page: The 2026 UEC Road European Championships page groups live timing, the TV and competition schedules, event entries, and results.
- Race center: The official 2026 Tour de France race center includes real-time data and links to stage-specific pages with live tracking. Check the edition and stage shown on the page.
- Governing-body hub: The UCI 2026 Road World Championships hub advertises the competition schedule and live results, and links to official documents such as the technical guide.
- Timing provider: Material for the 2025 UCI Road World Championships identifies Tissot as the timing and results provider. A provider may host the official data page; check that the event’s own site links to it.
What to check before, during and after the race
Before the start: start or entry list
Open the start list or entry list to check who is entered for the particular race. These may be separate resources from timing and results, so look for the event’s list rather than assuming the live tracker will serve the same purpose. The 2026 UEC championships page says start lists will be available the day before each race; that is an event-specific schedule, not a general release rule.

During the race: live timing or tracking
Use the official live-timing page or race center for in-progress information. A timing or tracking display describes the race as it unfolds; it is not necessarily the final result. For stage races, use the stage page for that day’s race and confirm the stage number and edition.

After the finish: official results
Once the race is complete, check its official results page for the published outcome. Read the page heading carefully: an event can offer results for individual races as well as other classifications. A stage result and an overall classification answer different questions.
How to avoid reading the wrong ranking
Live tracking, timing, and final results are related, but they are distinct views. Before sharing a position or rider status, confirm the page’s heading and identify what it covers: the race or stage in progress, a completed stage, or an overall competition classification. On a multi-stage event, keep the day’s stage page separate from the event’s overall classification page.

Finding video and viewing information
Some official event pages include a TV schedule or viewing information. Check the current listing for the specific event and your location: broadcast rights and availability can vary by event and geography. The official event pages are the place to verify what is listed; there is no universal broadcaster that can be assumed for every race.
