Compare the same stream on another device and, if possible, another internet connection; then compare Wi-Fi with Ethernet. These free checks help identify what to try next without assuming the cause.
First, find out where the problem is
Note which devices buffer, whether other YouTube videos or video services also have trouble, and whether the same live stream works elsewhere. These are clues, not proof: YouTube says an error reported by one viewer is likely local to that viewer’s device or internet connection; problems affecting viewers on separate connections may point toward the stream’s encoder.

- One device only: Suspect its app, playback settings, Wi-Fi reception, or local connection.
- Several devices on your home network: Check Wi-Fi conditions and Airtel broadband.
- Other apps and services also struggle: The issue is less likely to be limited to that YouTube broadcast.
- This stream fails across separate connections while other video works: Contact the channel owner or send feedback to YouTube; the broadcaster may need to inspect the stream and encoder.
If possible, replay the same stream on a phone using mobile data, with Wi-Fi switched off. This is a comparison, not a recommended permanent workaround; mobile data charges may apply. YouTube’s live-stream troubleshooting guidance explains how reports from viewers and networks can help distinguish local problems from broadcast-side ones.

Reduce the playback demand temporarily
On a TV or other device, open YouTube’s quality menu and select a lower resolution temporarily. If playback becomes steady, the stream may be exceeding what the connection can deliver reliably at that moment. This does not establish whether the constraint is Wi-Fi, broadband, or congestion elsewhere on the route.

Improve the device’s Wi-Fi conditions
- Move the device closer to the router and reduce obstructions where practical.
- Pause downloads and other heavy household internet use while testing.
- If both bands are available, compare 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz at the viewing location. 2.4 GHz typically reaches farther; 5 GHz is typically faster over a shorter range. Use the band that is more reliable where you watch.
- Restart the YouTube app and playback device. On a phone or tablet, YouTube suggests trying another internet connection and clearing the YouTube app cache.

Compare Wi-Fi with a wired broadband connection
If you can, connect a computer to the router by Ethernet and run a speed test near the time and place where buffering occurs. Then compare with Wi-Fi under similar conditions, pausing other heavy traffic for both tests. Airtel recommends a direct LAN connection to reduce Wi-Fi interference during a speed test, and notes that results can vary by time and location. One reading is not enough to establish a cause.

- Wired result is good, Wi-Fi is poor: Focus on signal strength, placement, interference, band choice, or router coverage.
- Both are poor: An Airtel connection issue becomes more plausible, but the comparison alone does not prove it.
- Both look adequate but only this stream buffers: Check the stream on another connection and ask the channel owner to investigate.
An Ethernet cable is useful only if you do not already have a suitable one and your computer and router have Ethernet ports. Buying one is not a required first step or a guaranteed fix. See Airtel’s Wi-Fi speed-test guidance for its testing advice.
Check Airtel equipment and router conditions
Check that the router and, where applicable, the fiber ONT have power and that visible cables are seated. Airtel’s Xstream Fiber guidance includes checking the fiber patch cord and other connections, then rebooting the ONT/router and allowing it to reconnect. Fiber-specific checks may not apply to every Airtel broadband connection type.

For Airtel Xstream Fiber, Airtel points customers to the Airtel Thanks app’s broadband and My Wi-Fi tools, including Wi-Fi optimization. Use these tools if available for your connection. Airtel’s Xstream Fiber troubleshooting article covers its equipment checks.
Could the meditation broadcast itself be causing buffering?
Yes. The channel owner chooses the YouTube Live latency setting, and lower latency means less read-ahead buffer for viewers. YouTube states: “With lower latency, your viewers may experience more playback buffering.” Its guidance describes normal latency as appropriate for non-interactive streams and as the option with the lowest amount of viewer buffering. A meditation stream may be non-interactive, but only its creator can check or change its actual setting.

Latency is not the same as buffering, and a latency setting cannot guarantee smooth playback. YouTube also notes that network congestion and other factors can disrupt a live stream even when a connection can sustain its average bitrate. Read YouTube’s explanation of live-stream latency.

Contact Airtel when evidence points to your connection
Use Airtel’s broadband support or app if multiple devices or services are affected, wired tests remain poor, or the broadband connection repeatedly drops. Tell support when the problem occurs and share your wired-versus-Wi-Fi comparison. Airtel lists broadband complaint and appeal routes on its Broadband Support page.

Contact the channel owner or YouTube when the stream is the outlier
If this broadcast alone fails across more than one internet connection while other video works, alert the channel owner or send feedback to YouTube. Include the device, approximate time, whether other viewers reported the same issue, and whether other streams played normally. The channel owner can inspect reported errors and encoder health; viewers cannot change the creator’s stream settings.
