When VLC will not play video correctly

When subtitles are missing, unreadable, or out of sync

Subtitles do not appear
- Note whether the file is expected to contain an embedded subtitle stream or whether subtitles are supplied as a separate file.
- Check whether subtitles are absent from one file or from every file that should contain them.
- Record the subtitle language or track you expected to see.
Subtitles appear incorrectly
