When a Type Soul reroll or progression step fails, do not immediately spend another reroll or repeat the task. First identify which operation failed, read the exact in-game requirement or error, and verify that your item, race, grade and guide are current. Most failures fall into one of four categories: an unmet requirement, an outdated item name or route, a grade-gated code reward, or a reproducible game glitch.
Start by identifying the failed operation
“Reroll” is not one universal action in Type Soul. A reroll item may change an element, weapon, clan, appearance or another character property, and a reroll for one race or state may not work for another. Progression interactions also differ by race and stage. Before changing anything, write down the following:

- The exact item name shown in your inventory.
- The property you expect to change, such as an element or weapon.
- The interaction or progression stage that fails.
- The full on-screen message, including punctuation and capitalization.

This prevents a common mistake: applying advice for a Shikai fight to a different progression route, or using an item that rerolls a different field.
Read the live requirement message before trying again
A missing requirement is the safest explanation to rule out because repeating the action will not fix it. A community-maintained Type Soul update log reports that the game added display of missing requirements for Shikai fights. If your interaction now lists a missing condition, copy the wording and satisfy that condition rather than guessing from an old video or checklist.

Use the message as the authoritative checklist
- Open the progression interaction in the current game client.
- Read the complete requirement text. Do not rely on only the first line or on a remembered route.
- Record which requirement is missing and which race or stage it applies to.
- Check the current Type Soul V2 resource board and the game’s official community channels for the route associated with your race.
- Complete the requirement, return to the interaction, and test once.
Available sources do not establish one exhaustive, current threshold list for every race and progression stage. That means a precise-looking universal number copied from an older guide may be wrong for your character. Treat the live prompt and current game documentation as more relevant than an undated checklist.
Check whether an old reroll name is causing the confusion
The update log reports that Shikai, Res and Volt Rerolls were renamed Element Rerolls. If a guide tells you to find “Shikai Reroll,” but your inventory shows “Element Reroll,” the naming difference may be the reason you cannot follow its instructions. The name change alone does not prove that every current item behaves identically to an item in an older guide.
Verify the item before consuming it
- Compare the item’s current name and description in your inventory with the property you want to change.
- Confirm that the item is usable by your character’s race and current state.
- Check that it is still in your inventory and has not already been consumed by a previous attempt.
- Use the current in-game prompt or V2 board to confirm the activation method; do not assume an old menu path is unchanged.
Do not use a weapon, clan or appearance reroll when your target is an element, and do not assume that a transformation reroll can be applied while your character is in another state. If the item description and the desired target do not match, stop before activation.

Separate progression failures from code-redemption failures
A code that does not redeem is a different problem from a failed Shikai, Res or Volt progression step. Code rewards can be blocked by grade eligibility, an expired code or a changed interface.
Grade requirements are reported inconsistently
One 2026 secondary guide says code redemption requires at least Semi-Grade 2; another calls the requirement Grade 2. Because those labels conflict and game requirements can change, do not treat either wording as a permanent rule. Open the current redemption interface and follow the live eligibility message shown for your character.
Find the redemption control
The same guides describe opening the gift-box icon in the upper-left menu. That interface detail is secondary-guide information, not a guarantee that the control is still in that location. If the gift-box icon is absent, check the current menu labels and the game’s official resource channels instead of repeatedly entering a code in an unrelated field.
Do not assume a listed code is active
A page labeled June 2026 contains code information, but that snapshot does not confirm that a code works on October 16, 2026. A code may have expired, reached a redemption limit or been replaced without the old page being updated. If the game rejects a code while your grade is eligible, record the exact rejection message and verify the code through a current official announcement before trying again.

Use the current Type Soul resource board
A Pro Game Guides page updated in May 2026 identifies the Type Soul Trello V2 board with ID B8cRro0r and describes the older V1 board as deprecated. A separate Type Soul link page lists the game, Discord and Trello destinations, although that page was not fetchable when checked. Use the V2 board and official Discord only after confirming that the destination still represents the official game resource.
When consulting a board, check its update date and the section for your race and progression stage. Compare the board’s terminology with the item name and requirement text in your client. If the board says one thing and the live game says another, preserve a screenshot of the live message and follow the current in-game gate while seeking clarification.
What the May 6, 2026 progression fix does—and does not—prove
The community-maintained update log records “Fixed player grips progression only working on Elite Grades” under May 6, 2026. This is evidence that a specific progression defect was recorded as fixed in that update log. It does not demonstrate that your current issue has the same cause, that the fix applies to every race or grade, or that all progression is now bug-free.
If your issue involves player grips, compare your grade and the exact progression step with the current update notes. If a different interaction fails, do not infer that the player-grips fix covers it. Treat the update log as a dated change record rather than first-party confirmation of a universal solution.

A careful troubleshooting sequence
1. Capture the state before changing it
Take screenshots of your race, grade, inventory item, target property and error or requirement message. Note the server, approximate time and the action that triggered the failure. Avoid consuming another reroll while you are still determining whether the first item was appropriate.
2. Recheck the live requirement
Close and reopen the interaction, read the entire requirement message and verify every listed condition. For a Shikai fight, use the displayed missing requirement as your checklist. For another stage, consult the current V2 board entry for your race rather than a generic route.

3. Validate the item and terminology
Confirm that the item is the current item for the property you want. Account for the reported rename to Element Rerolls, and check the live description for eligibility and use conditions. If the item disappeared after activation, determine whether the reroll actually changed the target before trying another one.

After meeting the requirement and confirming the item, perform one attempt in the intended interaction. Record whether the button is unavailable, the action is rejected, the item is consumed without a change, or the progression resets. These outcomes point to different causes and make a later report useful.
5. Rule out a local session problem
- Leave and rejoin the experience, then check the same interaction.
- Try a different server if the failure appears limited to one server.
- Check whether the same operation fails in another valid location or only at one interaction.
- Do not repeatedly reconnect while an item or progression action is visibly processing.
These checks cannot repair a server-side defect, but they distinguish a location or session fault from a character-wide eligibility problem.
6. Escalate only when the failure is reproducible
If the requirement is satisfied, the item is correct, current resources agree, and the same fault occurs again, prepare a bug report instead of spending more rerolls. Include the operation, race, grade, item name, exact message, time it began, steps to reproduce and whether it occurs in one place or everywhere.
How to report a Type Soul or Roblox glitch
Roblox Support instructs users: “Remember to be as detailed as possible and provide information such as: What exactly does the glitch do? When did it start happening? Does it happen in one place or in all places?, etc.” Follow that standard when reporting the issue through the Roblox DevForum or Roblox’s support form with Bug Report selected.

Include a reproducible report
- Character context: race, grade and relevant progression state.
- Exact operation: the reroll type or progression interaction.
- Expected result: what should have changed or unlocked.
- Observed result: the exact error, missing button, reset or unchanged value.
- Timing: when it started and whether it began after an update, relog or item use.
- Scope: one server, one location, one character or all tested locations.
- Evidence: screenshots or a short recording that shows the prompt and the failed action.
For a Type Soul-specific announcement or update, the cited guide points players to the official Discord and the V2 Trello board. Use those channels for current game information, while Roblox’s reporting route is the appropriate place to submit a platform glitch.
Worked examples
Example: an old Shikai reroll guide
You follow a video that says to activate “Shikai Reroll,” but your inventory contains “Element Reroll.” Do not assume the item is missing or buy another one. Compare the current description with your intended element, check that your character is in an eligible state, and use the live prompt or V2 board for activation. Example: a Shikai fight refuses to start
The interaction displays a missing requirement. Screenshot the full message, identify the race and stage it references, and complete that condition. A generic checklist may contain an obsolete threshold; the displayed prompt is the more relevant gate. Return to the same interaction and make one controlled attempt.
Example: a code fails at an eligible grade
Your character appears to meet the grade shown in one guide, but the code is rejected. Check whether the live interface calls for Semi-Grade 2 or Grade 2, confirm that you are using the current redemption control, and look for a dated official announcement. What is established, and what remains uncertain
The reported rename to Element Rerolls, the addition of displayed Shikai requirements and the May 6, 2026 player-grips entry come from a community-maintained update log. The grade-gate and gift-box details come from secondary guides, whose wording conflicts.
