For OpenRun-family models, enter pairing mode by holding Volume+ on powered-off headphones for 5–7 seconds, then select the matching Shokz name in Bluetooth settings. If that doesn’t work, remove old pairings, restart your phone or computer, and follow the reset instructions for your specific model.
Before troubleshooting, identify your Shokz model
Check the model name on the headphones or in your device’s Bluetooth list. Shokz publishes separate instructions for OpenRun, OpenRun Pro, OpenMove and OpenRun Pro 2, so do not assume a reset sequence for one model applies to another. OpenRun was formerly called Aeropex; Shokz lists Bluetooth 5.1 for OpenRun and Bluetooth 5.0 for Aeropex in its OpenRun support information.

If the battery may be depleted, charge the headphones for a few minutes before retrying. Shokz includes brief charging in its OpenRun Pro connectivity troubleshooting.
Put OpenRun-family headphones into pairing mode
- Turn the headphones off.
- Press and hold Volume+ for 5–7 seconds. Keep holding until the voice prompt says “Pairing” and the LED flashes red and blue.
- Open Bluetooth settings on your phone or computer and choose the matching Shokz device name.
For OpenRun Pro 2, Shokz gives the same general pairing-mode cues, but says to select “OpenRun Pro 2 by Shokz.” A successful connection produces a prompt and a blue LED. Follow the OpenRun Pro 2 support instructions if you have that model.

Remove old pairings and restart your devices
If the headphones appear in Bluetooth settings but won’t connect, remove or forget the Shokz entry on devices they previously paired with, then restart those devices. Shokz lists clearing saved Bluetooth connections and restarting connected devices as steps before resetting OpenRun Pro headphones.
Reset OpenRun Pro and pair it again
The following sequence is specifically for OpenRun Pro, as described in Shokz’s OpenRun Pro FAQ. Check the support page for your exact model before trying a reset; the button combination may not apply to other Shokz headphones.

- With the headphones off, hold Volume+ for 5–7 seconds until the LED flashes red and blue, indicating pairing mode.
- Press and hold the multifunction button, Volume+ and Volume− together for 3–5 seconds, until you hear beeps or feel vibrations indicating the reset.
- Turn the headphones off, then put them into pairing mode and connect them to the desired device again.
Shokz says this reset clears connected devices. You may need to remove any remaining saved Shokz entry from your phone or computer before pairing again.
If Shokz won’t pair with a Windows computer
Shokz’s troubleshooting article, published November 3, 2021, says updating the Bluetooth driver can often resolve some pairing problems on Windows 7 and Windows 10. The article does not specify a driver utility or a current Windows settings path; use the support information for your computer or Bluetooth hardware rather than assuming a particular download is needed. If your Shokz headphones keep disconnecting
Try the same connection cleanup: charge briefly if needed, remove stale Shokz entries from previously paired devices, restart those devices, and pair again. If the issue continues, use the reset procedure for your exact model. A TV without built-in Bluetooth is a separate case: Shokz mentions a Bluetooth transmitter for that situation, not as a general fix for phone or computer pairing.

If model-specific pairing and reset steps do not restore the connection, contact Shokz through the support or warranty channel for your product. A connection failure alone does not establish that the headphones have a hardware defect.
