Windows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread
Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallCrashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteIf a PS Plus game is missing or its download option is unavailable, first check whether it is a Monthly Game you claimed or a Game Catalog title, then confirm the account and subscription plan that provide access. The two benefits have different eligibility rules and console menus. Work through the checks below before changing settings or rebuilding the console database.
First, identify what kind of PS Plus game it is
PlayStation Plus Monthly Games and Game Catalog titles are separate benefits. A Monthly Game you added to your library can be downloaded and played while your membership is active. Game Catalog access requires Extra or Premium, and a title must still be available in the catalog and included with your plan. Premium also includes the Classics Catalog. Sony lists PlayStation Plus games in Game Library, but a missing entry may reflect an account, plan, or availability issue rather than a download fault.

If you are troubleshooting a Monthly Game you previously claimed, focus on the account that claimed it and whether its membership is active. If you are looking for a Game Catalog title, check the current catalog and your plan first: catalog games are not guaranteed to remain available indefinitely. Sony advises checking whether a game is still available through its game-launch troubleshooting guide.

Check the account, plan, and current availability
- Sign in to the account that has access. A console having a PS Plus subscriber does not mean every household account redeemed a particular Monthly Game. For a recent purchase or voucher redemption, check the account’s transaction history, as Sony recommends in its game-launch troubleshooting guidance.
- Confirm the benefit and subscription tier. Sony says Monthly Games are available with Essential, Extra, and Premium while the membership is active. Game Catalog access requires Extra or Premium; Classics Catalog access requires Premium. Check the title’s current eligibility and availability in the PlayStation Plus plan and benefits information.
- Check whether PlayStation services have an alert. Use Sony’s PlayStation service status. If it reports a relevant problem, wait for service restoration and try again; status changes over time, so check it when the issue occurs.
Open the right PS Plus menu on PS5 or PS4
Find or download a Monthly Game
On PS5, go to Games home > PlayStation Plus > Benefits > Monthly Games, highlight the game, and select Download. On PS4, open PlayStation Plus > Monthly Games, highlight the game, then choose Add to Library > Download. Sony also documents downloading remotely through a browser or the PlayStation App in its Monthly Games guide.

Find or download a Game Catalog title
On PS5, go to Games home > PlayStation Plus > Benefits > Game Catalog. On PS4, open PlayStation Plus > Game Catalog. Select a title that is currently available and included with your plan, then choose Download. Sony’s Game Catalog guide explains the benefit and access requirements.
Check sharing if another account is trying to play
If the subscriber’s account can access the game but another account on the same console cannot, check the console’s sharing setup. Sony says selected Monthly Plus downloads and eligible catalog games may be shared, but another account cannot redeem PS Plus games on the subscriber’s behalf. On PS5, enable Console Sharing and Offline Play for the subscriber’s account. On PS4, activate the console as that account’s primary PS4. See Sony’s PlayStation Plus sharing guidance for the limits and setup steps. Also install any available system software update, as Sony recommends in its game-launch troubleshooting guide.

Restore licenses if the game still cannot be found
A license restore can help when a game or add-on is missing or cannot be accessed. Sony’s PlayStation Support says, “Please note, restoring licenses won’t affect your data.” The steps are:
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:

- PS4: Settings > Account Management > Restore Licenses.

Rebuild the database only after the entitlement checks
If the account, subscription, title availability, sharing setup, software update, and license restore have not resolved the problem, Sony’s launch troubleshooting includes rebuilding the database. Start the console in Safe Mode and select Rebuild Database. Sony describes this as creating a new database of content; treat it as a later troubleshooting step, not the first response to a missing PS Plus entry. Follow the Safe Mode instructions in Sony’s game-launch troubleshooting guide.
