Ted Lasso in Career Mode
EA described Ted Lasso as a manager you can select in Career Mode. This is separate from Ultimate Team. If you are searching through FUT menus for a manager item, you are looking in the wrong mode; the announced manager implementation belongs to Career Mode.

AFC Richmond in Career Mode
AFC Richmond is handled as a Career Mode club. EA’s announcement says you can swap the club into the Premier League or another playable Career Mode league, which means it may not appear as an ordinary club in the league configuration you first open. Use the Career Mode setup that lets you replace a club and select AFC Richmond for the competition you want to play.
Ultimate Team objectives and challenges
The announcement treats FUT content separately from the Career Mode features. Related items are obtained through objectives and challenges, not by selecting AFC Richmond as a Career Mode team. A reward therefore depends on completing the applicable activity and claiming it in the account that completed it.
That distinction matters when troubleshooting. A Career Mode selection does not award a FUT item, and a completed FUT objective does not add Ted Lasso as a Career Mode manager. Write down which feature you expected before changing settings or contacting support.

- Confirm the title on your console or PC. Make sure the game is FIFA 23, rather than an EA Sports FC release with a similar menu layout.
- Choose the mode that matches the content. Use Career Mode for Ted Lasso or AFC Richmond as a club. Use Ultimate Team only for rewards tied to objectives or challenges.
- For AFC Richmond, review the league setup. In the Career Mode configuration, use the swap or replacement option to move AFC Richmond into the Premier League or another playable league.
- For FUT rewards, verify completion and claiming. Reopen the relevant objectives or challenges and check whether the reward is unclaimed, already stored in the Club, or waiting in another item location.
Do not assume that reinstalling a later game will add a feature announced for FIFA 23. A purchase of FIFA 23 is an alternative way to access the announced implementation on a compatible platform and edition; it is not an unlock or repair for a newer title.
Check compatibility before buying FIFA 23
If your goal is specifically to play as AFC Richmond or select Ted Lasso, compare the game title, platform and edition before spending money. Look for a compatible copy of FIFA 23 for the platform you actually use, and verify that the listing is current. The collaboration was announced for that title; buying an older copy does not add the feature to FC 24, FC 25, FC 26 or FC 27.
Do not pay a third party for an “unlock code” or account that claims to restore the collaboration in a later release. 1. Restart Ultimate Team
Exit Ultimate Team completely and start it again. A fresh session can make an item that has already been granted appear in the Club or Store. If you are on a console, close the game rather than leaving it suspended; on PC, quit the application and relaunch it.
2. Check every standard delivery location
- Open the Club and look for unclaimed items.
- Check the Store for items that require a claim or confirmation.
- Review Transfer Targets and both won and expired items if the content came from the Transfer Market.
These checks distinguish an item that is present but filed in a different location from one that was never granted. Search after restarting, because a stale session can continue to display an empty list.
3. Allow the Transfer Market correction window
EA says a player item that is stuck after a Transfer Market acquisition should be corrected automatically within 72 hours. After that period, check Transfer Targets again. The 72-hour period applies to this processing problem; it is not a general promise that every missing reward will appear within three days.
4. Use Quick Sell Recovery when the item was discarded
If you quick-sold a player item by mistake, use Quick Sell Recovery while the item remains eligible. EA’s instruction allows recovery of up to five player-item quick sells during each 31-day period, and you must have enough Coins to complete the recovery. The limit is an EA Help rule, not a guarantee that a particular Ted Lasso-related item is recoverable.
Before confirming recovery, check the date of the quick sell and your remaining recovery allowance. Spending Coins or using the allowance on another item can affect what you can recover later.
5. Recognize cases that cannot be restored
EA states that discarded player items and items submitted into an SBC cannot be recovered or restored by EA Advisors. Do not wait for a support grant in those cases; the support route cannot reverse those actions.

- Restart the console, PC or other platform, then launch the game again.
- Confirm that you are signed into the EA Account that made the purchase or completed the objective.
- Check EA’s service-status information for an outage or delayed entitlement.
- If purchased content is still absent after 24 hours, contact EA support and provide proof of purchase.
The 24-hour point is EA’s guidance for purchased content. It does not establish that a later game contains the licensed feature, and it does not override the non-recoverable rules for discarded items or SBC submissions.
Keep the account check precise: the EA Account email, platform profile and game copy must correspond to the transaction. Switching profiles, using a family member’s login or launching a different platform version can make a valid entitlement appear missing.
What the Missing Content Tool can and cannot do
EA’s Missing Content Tool checks whether an account qualifies for a grant or replacement for certain missing content, Points or FUT Draft disconnect tokens. Eligibility is assessed by the tool; using it is not a promise that it will grant Ted Lasso, AFC Richmond or any other licensed content. If the underlying issue is that the feature belongs to FIFA 23 and you are playing FC 24 or a later release, a replacement tool cannot turn that version difference into a new feature.
Use the tool after confirming the title, mode and account. Save any case number or confirmation it provides, but do not submit repeated requests for the same issue while a grant is being processed.

Screenshots of the objective completion or receipt can help show what happened, but redact passwords and payment details that support did not request.

Common mistakes that make the problem look like a bug
Searching the wrong mode
Ted Lasso and AFC Richmond’s announced manager and club implementations are Career Mode features. FUT objectives and challenges are a separate route. Switching between modes without identifying which content you earned can make a correctly delivered item appear missing.

Assuming the FC name means FIFA 23 content carried forward
