To fix lag in Honor of Kings, first work out whether the problem is network delay, choppy frame performance, or missed touch input. Test another stable Wi-Fi or mobile connection, then check background activity, heat, power-saving settings, storage, and updates. Those checks help identify the cause; no single network type or accessory is guaranteed to fix it.
Identify what kind of lag you are experiencing
High ping, rubber-banding, delayed actions, and disconnections can point to an unstable connection. Choppy animation or frame freezes can instead involve the phone’s performance or heat. Missed taps may be a touch-input issue. These clues are useful for choosing what to test, but none proves the cause on its own.

The game’s privacy policy lists network diagnostics such as Wi-Fi strength, network type, mobile-signal strength, and round-trip time, as well as frame information. - Try another stable connection. If available, compare your current Wi-Fi with mobile data or another Wi-Fi network. HONOR support recommends trying a stable Wi-Fi or mobile network when weak signal or low network speed may be causing gameplay delays, freezes, or disconnections. This is general device-maker guidance, not a diagnosis specific to the game’s network.
- Pause competing traffic. Temporarily stop active downloads and uploads while you play, then compare the game’s network indicator if one is available. Note whether ping spikes or disconnections follow one connection or occur on both.
- Use the comparison as a clue. If the problem improves on another network, the original connection may be contributing. That does not mean Wi-Fi or mobile data is always better; signal quality and stability matter more than the connection label.
HONOR’s guidance on gameplay troubleshooting and slow loading diagnostics supports trying another connection, but neither establishes a ping benchmark for Honor of Kings.

Check whether the phone is causing frame drops or freezes
Reduce background activity
Close apps you do not need and pause downloads or file copying. Multiple active apps can contribute to lag or freezing, according to HONOR support. Restarting the phone is also a reasonable test if performance has degraded or the device has been running for a long time.
Check available storage and updates
Look at your phone’s available storage and free space if it is nearly full. HONOR’s two support pages give different recommendations—at least 20% free in its gameplay guidance and at least 10% in its slow-loading guidance—so neither percentage should be treated as a universal Honor of Kings requirement.

Install available updates for both the game and the phone’s operating system. Confirm that your device meets the current requirements for the version of the game available in your region; requirements and availability can vary. The official Honor of Kings site and your regional app-store listing are appropriate places to check current game information.
Check heat and power-saving settings
If performance worsens as the phone heats up, stop and let it cool. HONOR says overheating protection can affect system performance; where the game offers graphics options, try reducing demanding settings and see whether frame performance changes. This may help with device-side performance, but it is not evidence that heat is causing high ping.

For a comparison, temporarily disable power-saving mode if your phone allows it, then test the game again. Do not keep playing while the device is uncomfortably hot.
A phone cooler is, at most, an optional consideration when heat coincides with frame drops. It cannot repair network latency, and there is no evidence here that it will resolve lag in every case.

Test touch input separately
If the connection and animation seem steady but taps or swipes fail, check the phone’s touch settings and whether a screen protector may be interfering. HONOR says a protector thicker than 0.2 mm may affect touch sensitivity on supported HONOR devices; that specification should not be generalized to other phone brands.

Check for a possible server-side problem
If the issue continues across networks, try the game on another phone if one is available. HONOR’s slow-loading guidance says the same issue on another phone can make a game-server problem possible. It is a clue, not confirmation of an outage; check official game notices and contact the game’s support team for help.

The Honor of Kings Google Play listing says the game uses “Local Servers” and describes them as ensuring smooth gaming experiences. That is the publisher’s claim, not a guarantee that a particular match or region’s servers are available or performing normally. Contact Honor of Kings support
Use the game’s in-app customer service and self-help tools first; the official Honor of Kings customer-service page also directs players to a contact form if they still need help. Include your region, device model, when the issue occurs, whether it happens on more than one connection, and whether it affects another device. Avoid assuming that an individual report establishes a wider outage.
