First work out where the picture disappears: in a YouTube player while watching, in an IRL Pro live stream, or in a recording after it is published. The fixes differ, and the available official guidance does not establish a specific IRL Pro black-screen cause or fix.
Identify which part of the video is black
Use these checks to narrow the problem before changing settings:

- Only one viewer or device is affected: troubleshoot YouTube playback on that device.
- Several viewers see the same IRL Pro live stream as black: the issue may be in the outgoing stream rather than the viewer’s app or browser.
- The live stream looked normal, but its published recording is black: distinguish a recording or publication problem from a live playback problem.
- Audio plays but the image does not: note that detail; it helps distinguish a rendering problem from a stream with no usable audio or video.
Compare the affected video on another device or browser, then play an unrelated YouTube video on the original device. These comparisons are diagnostic suggestions, not an IRL Pro procedure. IRL Pro’s official site describes streaming to YouTube and other platforms, including features such as SRTLA bonding and bitrate adjustment, but does not document this symptom or a targeted fix: IRL Pro.

If a YouTube video is black while you watch it
If unrelated videos are also affected on the same device, follow YouTube’s general playback troubleshooting guidance. Try the steps that match your device:

- Check the connection. Restart your internet connection and retry playback. If the video buffers or fails at a high resolution, choose a lower quality from the player’s settings.
- Compare the connection with YouTube’s approximate recommendations. YouTube lists these sustained speeds for playback; they are not guarantees that a particular video will play correctly. The guidance is undated and was accessed in 2026: YouTube video playback troubleshooting.

- Restart YouTube or the device. Close and reopen the YouTube app or browser tab. If that does not help, restart the device.
- Update the app or browser. Install available updates, then test the video again.
- In a browser, check extensions. Temporarily disable extensions such as ad blockers and reload the video. If it works, re-enable extensions one at a time to identify whether one is interfering.
If the player is black on a computer but audio works
A black player with working audio can point to a computer video-rendering issue, but YouTube’s related official guidance covers a green player, not an IRL Pro black-screen diagnosis. Treat its suggestions as rendering checks, not a confirmed fix for this symptom.
- Try another browser. If the video displays there, the issue may be isolated to the original browser or its configuration.
- In Chrome, turn off hardware acceleration as a test. Open Settings → System and switch off Use hardware acceleration when available, then relaunch Chrome and retry playback. To undo the test, turn the setting back on.
- Check for a graphics-driver update. Follow the computer maker’s official support instructions for your model and operating system; do not install a driver from an unverified download site.

If the IRL Pro live stream or published recording is black
If other YouTube videos play normally but an IRL Pro-originated stream or recording is black, a viewer-side playback fix may not address the source of the problem. The official IRL Pro material reviewed does not publish a black-video troubleshooting sequence or establish whether the cause is the app, device, stream, or recording.

- Check whether the problem is shared. Ask another viewer to check the same live stream or recording, preferably on a different device or browser. If only one viewer sees black video, return to the YouTube playback steps above.
- Separate live from post-publication. Note whether the picture is black during the live broadcast, only in the published recording, or both.
- Record what still works. Note whether audio is audible and whether the issue affects every stream or just one.
- Contact the developer if it persists. Use the support contact shown on the IRL Pro Google Play listing. Include the phone model, operating-system version, IRL Pro app version, whether audio works, whether other viewers are affected, and whether the issue is live or only after publication. These details help describe the problem; the listing does not promise a particular fix.
