1. Confirm the event is active and enter the festival
Gameloft lists the 2026 Haunted Floating Festival dates as October 7 through October 31 in its 2026 update announcement. If you are outside that window, the event may no longer be available. While it is active, the 2025 official guide describes entering through the Plaza portal or, when available, the Festival event page’s Teleport control. Menu labels and access options may differ in the current build; follow what the game displays.

2. Check whether the puzzle has unlocked
Not every festival puzzle necessarily becomes available at once. Gameloft’s 2025 event guide says some puzzles unlock later and advises returning regularly. That is prior-year guidance, not a confirmed 2026 puzzle release calendar. If the objective is missing, inactive, or cannot be interacted with, revisit the festival later and check the current event page for newly available objectives.
3. Re-read the clue and look for dependencies
Compare the exact in-game clue with what you have done so far. The 2025 guide explains that clues and resources are part of event progression, and that some requested items may require returning to the Valley or waiting for night or special weather. Search the festival grounds and the Valley only where the clue points you; do not assume every puzzle uses the same location or conditions.

- Check the full objective text for a named object, resource, location, time, or weather condition.
- Look for the indicated item in the festival area, then in the Valley if the clue directs you there.
- If the clue depends on night or special weather, return when that condition occurs rather than repeatedly interacting under the wrong conditions.
4. Make sure the interaction registered
Follow the objective’s stated sequence and verify that the game registered each interaction before leaving the area. Recheck the objective text or event interface after interacting. This is a general way to distinguish an incomplete step from an apparent blocker; Gameloft’s located official sources do not provide a single sequence that applies to every 2026 puzzle.
5. Decide whether it is a dependency or a persistent blocker
A puzzle that is not yet unlocked, is waiting on a clue-related item, or depends on time or weather may be behaving as intended. If you have met the visible requirements and the objective still does not update, treat it as a persistent apparent blocker rather than assuming a known universal bug fix. Gameloft’s 2026 announcement confirms the event and its dates, but does not identify a Haunted Festival progression bug or a guaranteed workaround.

6. Contact support if the objective remains stuck
The official event page links to Gameloft Support for issues. When reporting the problem, it can help to include your platform, the puzzle name, the exact objective text, and what happened after you completed the step. These details are useful context, not a stated formal support requirement. The event guide also points players to the official community Discord for puzzle tips.
Gameloft has separately documented a Winter Floating Festival memory orb that fell into an unreachable location; that article says the issue does not completely block event progression. It concerns a different festival and object, so it should not be treated as a Haunted Festival fix. A community wiki also describes 2026 Haunted Festival mechanics, but use it as secondary walkthrough material and compare its steps with the current in-game objective rather than treating it as official bug guidance.
