If a Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves DLC character is missing or locked, first check that your edition or pass includes that character and that the character has been released for your platform. Then confirm the purchase is on the same platform account and region as your game, check the add-on’s installation status, update and restart the game, and contact support if the character is still unavailable.
1. Check whether your edition or pass includes the character
The base game does not automatically include paid DLC. SNK says the Standard Edition contains the game only; paid add-ons must be purchased separately. Its current product page lists these edition contents:

| Edition or pass | Listed content |
|---|---|
| Standard Edition | Base game only; paid add-ons are separate. |
| Revenge Edition | Seasons 1–3. |
| Legend Edition | Seasons 1–2. |
| Season Pass 1 | Andy Bogard, Ken, Joe Higashi, Chun-Li, and Mr. Big. |
| Season Pass 2 | Kim Jae Hoon, Nightmare Geese, Blue Mary, Wolfgang Krauser, Mr. Karate, and Kenshiro. |
| Season Pass 3 | Rick Strowd, Duck King, Kim Kaphwan, Manjiro Sano and Ken Ryuguji, Laocorn, and one mystery character. |
Compare the missing character with the contents of the edition or pass you actually own. Seasons 1 and 2 characters can also be purchased individually, according to SNK’s version 3.0.0 announcement. Season 3 individual purchase availability and timing may differ, so check the character’s current listing in your platform’s storefront rather than assuming a pass or individual purchase is available.

2. Confirm the character has been released
A pass can include content that is not available yet. SNK’s product page marks Rick Strowd, Duck King, and Kim Kaphwan as available in Season 3. The page lists Manjiro Sano and Ken Ryuguji for October 2026, Laocorn for November, and a mystery character for December. SNK’s announcement gives a different October description, listing a mystery character instead. Because the schedule and listing do not fully align, use the current character listing in your storefront and SNK’s latest announcement to verify availability before troubleshooting an entitlement that may not be released yet.

3. Check the account, region, and add-on status
These are general platform-account checks, not a universal recovery procedure confirmed by SNK. Use the same platform account and storefront that you used to buy the game or DLC. Check the account’s order history and the platform’s add-on or download management area for the pass or character. If the storefront says the content is not owned, verify the account, region, edition, and purchase record before buying anything again. SNK’s product page links to platform storefronts; the exact menus for managing add-ons depend on your platform.
4. Update and restart the game
- Install any available update for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves through your platform.
- Fully close the game, then launch it again.
- Open character select and check whether the character is available.
SNK’s version 3.0.0 notes do not identify a general fix for DLC characters not appearing, so updating and relaunching are sensible checks rather than a guaranteed solution.

5. Match what you see to the next step
| What you find | Likely explanation | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| The character is not included in your edition or pass. | Your owned content does not cover that DLC. | Check the relevant pass or individual character listing in your storefront. |
| The character is not marked as released. | The scheduled content may not be available yet. | Verify the latest release information and storefront availability. |
| The storefront says the DLC is not owned. | You may be using a different account or region, or the purchase may not be recorded. | Check the account and order history before repurchasing. |
| The storefront says the DLC is owned, but the character remains locked. | Installation, entitlement syncing, or a game issue may be involved. | Check add-on management, update and relaunch the game, then contact support. |
6. Contact support if ownership checks do not resolve it
If the platform does not show a purchase you made, contact that platform’s support. If it shows the add-on as owned but the character remains locked after checking installation and restarting the game, contact platform support and SNK support. Include the platform, account region, edition or pass name, character name, order receipt, and a screenshot of the locked content so support can identify the entitlement involved.

Will buying the base game fix a missing DLC character?
Only if you do not already own the base game. The Standard Edition is the base game, not a DLC character bundle; purchasing it does not by itself grant a character or season pass.
