Canva stopped supporting its Galaxy Store app on June 30, 2025; that installation can produce missing functions, sign-in problems, saving errors, and eventual failure. Your designs and subscription remain associated with your Canva account, so you can sign in through the Google Play app where available or a supported mobile browser.
Identify what is actually missing
“Canva Pro is not showing” can describe two different problems. A paid editing tool may be locked because the current Canva account or team has no entitlement. Alternatively, the tool may be available but the Templates area is harder to find after a navigation change. Treat those as separate checks rather than assuming the subscription is broken.

- Premium feature missing: a tool, premium asset, or Pro label is absent or locked inside the editor.
- Templates missing: the editor opens, but you cannot find the place to browse or search template designs.
- App malfunction: Canva will not sign in, save, load pages, or display parts of the interface.
The order below starts with the cause that can invalidate every other test: an unsupported Galaxy Store installation.

Canva says it removed its app from Samsung Galaxy Store on June 30, 2025. It also says it will not provide updates or support for Canva installed from that store. An old store build may continue to open for a while, but Canva warns that users can encounter errors, missing functions, sign-in or saving problems, and eventual failure. A missing Pro control or template list is therefore not reliable evidence that your subscription ended.

Open your phone’s app information or the store history and determine where Canva was installed. If the source is Galaxy Store, move to a supported installation before investigating account entitlement.
Move to a supported installation
- Save any current work and note the email address or sign-in method used in Canva.
- Uninstall the Galaxy Store version only after confirming that you can sign in to the same Canva account. Designs are stored with the Canva account, not permanently with that particular app package.
- Install Canva from Google Play where the app is available for your device and region, or open Canva in a supported mobile browser.
- Sign in using the same Canva account. If you belong to multiple teams, select the team that owns the paid plan.
- Open an existing design and test the missing feature or template area.
If the Play listing is unavailable for your phone or region, use the supported browser route rather than downloading an unofficial application package. An unofficial package can leave you with the same update and support problem, and it makes account troubleshooting harder.

Compatibility can vary by Galaxy model and region. The official guidance supports the Google Play or browser routes, but it does not promise that every model supports every route or every feature.

2. Bring Canva and Android WebView up to the published minimums
Canva’s technical requirements list Android System WebView version 99 or higher. The same guidance says Android app versions earlier than 2.328.0 must be updated to continue using Canva. These are minimum published requirements, not a guarantee that every phone will expose every Pro tool.

Update the Canva app
- Open Google Play and search for Canva.
- Open the official Canva listing and check the installed version or the available Update button.
- Install the update, then launch Canva again.
- If you are still on the retired Galaxy Store build, do not treat its version number as a supported baseline; install the Google Play version where available or use the browser.
If the app reports a version earlier than 2.328.0, update it before testing templates or premium tools. A version below that threshold is outside Canva’s stated continuation requirement.
Update Android System WebView
- Open Google Play and search for Android System WebView.
- Install the available update, or confirm that the installed version is 99 or higher.
- Restart Canva after the component update. If Android requests a phone restart, complete it before retesting.
Use the phone’s normal system-update mechanism for WebView. If no update is offered, record the displayed version for support rather than installing a package from an unofficial source.
Check the connection without over-interpreting it
Canva recommends a stable internet connection. Test the app on the connection you normally use and, if practical, compare it with another reliable connection. A connection check can reveal a page that never loads, but the published material does not establish that connectivity specifically causes Pro controls or template listings to disappear. Do not conclude that a subscription is invalid solely because one template page failed to load.
3. Confirm the Canva account, team, and purchase channel
Paid access belongs to a Canva account and, where applicable, a team or workspace. A phone can be signed in successfully while still using a different account from the one that purchased Pro. Team switching can create the same symptom: the editor opens, but the expected premium tools are absent.

Verify the active Canva identity
- Open the account menu in Canva and note the email address or sign-in method currently displayed.
- Check whether the account has access to more than one team or workspace.
- Select the team that holds the subscription, then reopen the design or start a new one.
- Compare the plan shown for that account and team with the feature you expect.
If you used a social sign-in, work address, or alternate email when subscribing, do not assume that entering the same name on the phone selects the same Canva account. Sign out only if you know the credentials or sign-in method needed to return to the purchasing account.
Check a subscription bought through Google Play
For a Google Play purchase, Canva’s subscription guidance says to check the Google account used for the purchase and manage the subscription through Google Play. The Google account in the Play Store can differ from the Canva login, so verify both identities.
- Open Google Play and switch to the Google account that originally purchased the Canva subscription.
- Open the subscriptions area and confirm that the Canva subscription is active there.
- Return to Canva and sign in to the Canva account associated with that purchase.
- If the subscription is active in Play but the Canva account still shows a different plan, avoid buying again. Record both account identifiers and contact Canva Support.
Cancellation and subscription management depend on the original purchase channel. A subscription bought through Google Play is managed there; changing a Canva login does not transfer the purchase to another account.
Match the feature to the plan
Canva describes Pro as including premium tools, templates, and content, but feature access depends on the plan and can change as Canva’s product tiers evolve. Open Canva’s current plan information from the account area and compare the exact tool or content type with the active plan. Do not infer that every paid tier includes every item, or that a feature visible in a different team is included in the current one.

4. Find Templates in Canva’s current mobile navigation
Canva’s mobile navigation help describes five bottom tabs: Canva AI, Create, Templates, Your Designs, and More. Tap Templates to browse categories or search for a specific design type, then tap a result to customize it.
Use the Templates tab
- Open Canva and look at the bottom navigation.
- Tap Templates.
- Browse a category or enter a specific template type in search.
- Open a result and check whether any premium element is marked as Pro.
Canva says navigation changes are rolling out gradually, so the labels or positions in your app may not match every help-screen example. If you do not see a Templates tab, inspect More and Create, update the app, and compare the interface after signing in to the correct account. A different layout does not by itself mean templates were removed.
Distinguish a missing catalog from a locked template
- If the Templates section itself is absent, concentrate on installation source, app version, WebView, and the navigation rollout.
- If templates appear but a specific design is marked Pro, check the account, team, and plan entitlement.
- If search returns no results while other Canva pages load, test the supported browser route and record the exact search term for support.
5. Use a controlled browser comparison
A browser check helps separate an app-package problem from an account or plan problem. Open Canva in a supported mobile browser, sign in with the same Canva account, select the same team, and test one known design and one known template type.

This comparison does not prove a cause on its own. It gives support a reproducible difference: same account and content, different client.
6. Collect the right details before contacting Canva Support
If a current supported app or browser is signed in to the correct account and the plan should include the missing item, contact Canva Support. Include enough detail for the issue to be tied to a particular installation and entitlement.
- Galaxy phone model and Android version.
- Whether Canva came from Galaxy Store, Google Play, or a browser.
- Canva app version, including whether it is earlier than 2.328.0.
- Android System WebView version, including whether it is at least 99.
- Canva account email or sign-in method, with sensitive information handled safely.
- Team or workspace selected when the problem occurs.
- Plan name and original purchase channel, such as Google Play.
- The exact Pro tool, premium asset, or template name that is missing.
- Whether the same item works in a supported browser.
- A screenshot showing the missing control or message, with private data removed.
Describe the sequence that reproduces the issue, for example: “Open Templates, search for a presentation template, select the team, and the results are empty.” Avoid sending passwords, payment-card numbers, or unnecessary personal data.
Decision tree for the fastest fix
- Galaxy Store installation? Replace it with Google Play where supported or use a supported browser, then sign in to the same Canva account.
- App below 2.328.0 or WebView below 99? Update through the official channels before testing again.
- Wrong account or team? Switch to the identity and workspace that hold the plan.
- Google Play purchase not visible in Canva? Verify the purchasing Google account and Canva login; do not repurchase while the mismatch is unresolved.
- Templates tab hard to find? Check Canva’s five-tab navigation, inspect More or Create, and allow for the gradual rollout of navigation changes.
- Still missing after all checks? Send Canva Support the device, versions, source, account/team, plan channel, exact item, and browser comparison.
What not to conclude too quickly
- A missing Templates tab does not automatically mean the Pro subscription expired; navigation is changing gradually.
- An old Galaxy Store app opening normally does not mean it is supported; Canva says that distribution no longer receives updates or support.
- An active Google Play subscription does not identify which Canva login is entitled; the purchasing Google account and Canva account must be reconciled.
- A Pro label on one template does not establish that every paid plan includes it; check the current plan scope.
- A browser result and an app result can differ because they are different clients; use the difference as a diagnostic clue, not as proof of a billing error.
When the issue is resolved
Confirm the fix with three tests: open an existing design, find a template through the current navigation, and open the exact Pro tool or premium item that originally failed. Repeat the test in the team where you normally work. If all three work in the supported app or browser, keep the app updated through its official channel and note the account and purchase channel used for the subscription. That record makes a future device change less likely to put you into the wrong Canva account.
