The exact Gen 2 button sequence for pairing or resetting is not confirmed in the available official material, so don’t copy reset steps for the separate Rockerz 421 model.
First, confirm it is the Rockerz 421 Gen 2
Check the model name on the headphones, packaging, or purchase information. boAt lists the Rockerz 421 Gen 2 separately from the Rockerz 421. The available Rockerz 421 support FAQ covers the other model; its button instructions are not verified for the Gen 2.

boAt specifies Bluetooth 5.4 for the Gen 2 on its official product page. That is a product specification, not proof that a particular phone or headset is causing the connection problem.
Try the low-risk Bluetooth checks first
- Check the source device. Turn Bluetooth on in the phone or computer’s settings and confirm that it supports Bluetooth audio. If possible, temporarily turn Bluetooth off and back on.
- Move the devices closer. Keep the headphones near the phone or computer while pairing, and move away from obvious obstructions or sources of interference.
- Remove the old pairing entry. In the source device’s Bluetooth settings, select the Rockerz 421 Gen 2 and choose the option to forget, remove, or unpair it. Then try a fresh connection.
- Use the Gen 2 guide to enter pairing mode. Follow the user guide for the exact button press and indicator behavior. boAt’s product page links a guide, but its file was not accessible in the material available here; do not assume another model’s button timing applies.
boAt’s support instructions for the separate Rockerz 421 also recommend checking range and obstructions, clearing old pairing information, and forgetting the headphones before trying again. Its stated 10 m range and any button-specific directions are not confirmed Gen 2 specifications or instructions.

If the headphones connect but keep dropping
Start with a fresh pairing
Remove the saved headphone entry from the phone or computer, then pair again using the Gen 2 guide. A stale pairing record is a reversible source-device setting to check before attempting any headset reset.
Compare with another device
Try the headphones with a second Bluetooth source. If available, also connect a different Bluetooth audio device to the original phone or computer. This can help establish whether the issue follows the headphones or the original source; it is a diagnostic check, not a guaranteed fix.

Check for source-device software updates
If the problem occurs only with one phone or computer, check that device for available system or Bluetooth-related updates. boAt’s older Rockerz 421 FAQ also suggests updating mobile software, but it does not establish that an update will resolve a Gen 2 connection problem.

Why you should not use the older Rockerz 421 reset sequence
boAt’s separate Rockerz 421 FAQ describes clearing that model’s paired-device history by holding Volume + and Volume − together for five seconds, then power-cycling it. It also mentions trying 0000 or 1234 if a passcode is requested. These directions belong to the Rockerz 421 support page, not confirmed Gen 2 guidance. Do not use that button combination or assume those passcodes apply to your Rockerz 421 Gen 2 unless its guide or boAt support confirms them.

The Gen 2 product page links a user guide, but the guide could not be retrieved, and no accessible official Gen 2 reset procedure was established. Check the guide included in the box or contact boAt for the model-specific pairing and reset steps before attempting a button-combination reset.
When to contact boAt support
If the headphones still will not pair or continue disconnecting after the checks above, contact boAt support through its official Rockerz 421 Gen 2 product listing or support channels. Give them the exact model name, your phone or computer model and operating-system version, whether pairing succeeds, how often disconnections occur, and which checks you have tried. Avoid opening the headphones or treating the fault as a confirmed hardware failure without a diagnosis.

Gen 2 specifications are not connection fixes
boAt’s product listing, accessed October 4, 2026, publishes these specifications: Bluetooth 5.4, two 50 mm drivers, a 600 mAh battery, up to 60 hours of playback at 60% volume, up to four hours to charge, BEAST Mode listed at 40 ms low latency, and IPX4 water resistance. These manufacturer figures do not identify the cause of a connection problem or establish that a reset will fix it.
