To fix pauses between songs in a 24/7 Hindi YouTube stream, first play the tracks consecutively outside the livestream. If the gap is already there, check the files and playback workflow; if it appears only in OBS or YouTube, trace the source, encoder, and stream health in order. A Hindi playlist is not inherently the cause—the same checks apply to any music stream.
First identify where and when the gap occurs
Note whether the pause happens at every song boundary, only with particular tracks, randomly during a song, or only for some viewers. Then compare what you hear at each point in the chain: local player, OBS monitoring, encoder preview, YouTube Live Control Room preview, and public playback. The first point where the gap appears narrows the likely cause; without that comparison, there is no reliable single fix.

- Every boundary, same pause: investigate silence at the end or start of files, or the player’s playlist transition.
- Only certain tracks: inspect those files and their playback behavior first.
- Random interruptions, especially with dropped frames: investigate stream delivery and network stability.
- Only some viewers report it: compare their playback conditions; buffering can depend on the viewer’s device and network.
Check the tracks and playback source before changing YouTube settings
Listen to the boundary outside the live output
Play the relevant files consecutively in a local player and listen closely to the end of one track and the start of the next. If the silence is audible there, the problem is in the media or playlist workflow—not a YouTube audio setting. Inspect the file endings and beginnings, then test a corrected or alternate playback workflow before changing the live encoder.

Review OBS source and playlist behavior
OBS Media Source supports common formats including MP3, AAC, OGG, and WAV. OBS’s VLC Video source can play a playlist and provides loop, shuffle, and visibility behavior controls. Its documentation does not promise gapless playback or crossfade, so a VLC playlist should not be assumed to eliminate transition gaps. Check that looping is enabled if required and that the source is not configured to stop or restart when hidden in a way that interrupts playback. Make one change at a time and test it in a private or otherwise safe stream.

There is no universal OBS setting or plugin established as a fix for every playlist. If the tracks are continuous in a local player but pause in OBS, focus on the OBS source and the specific player’s transition behavior; evaluate a different playout workflow only if it explicitly supports the gapless transition or crossfade you need.
Check encoder output and YouTube stream health
Compare the sound from the local source with the encoder output. Review YouTube Live Control Room health messages, encoder warnings, CPU load, and a local recording or archive. YouTube recommends testing with audio and movement similar to the intended broadcast, monitoring stream health, and reviewing messages. For audio problems, its troubleshooting guidance points operators to encoder output, dashboard errors, CPU load, and a local archive; if those look healthy, check the outbound connection (YouTube: Fix streaming issues).

Verify the intended audio stream and published audio settings
YouTube lists missing audio and multiple audio streams among ingestion errors. Confirm that the encoder sends the intended audio stream and that its status is healthy (YouTube stream troubleshooting).
For YouTube RTMP/RTMPS, the published guidance lists AAC or MP3 audio, a 44.1 kHz sample rate for stereo, and 128 kbps stereo audio. Check the current YouTube live encoder settings and any Live Control Room messages for your stream. These settings describe audio encoding; they do not guarantee gapless transitions between songs.

Distinguish a track-transition pause from buffering
A repeatable pause at the same boundary points more toward the file or player transition. Random interruptions, dropped frames, or reports that playback stalls at different points call for a delivery check instead. OBS says dropped frames indicate a connection that is unstable or cannot sustain the configured bitrate; viewer buffering can also depend on the viewer’s device and connection (OBS stream connection troubleshooting; OBS stream buffering troubleshooting).
If the local source and encoder remain continuous but YouTube playback does not, use Live Control Room health messages and test the outbound connection. YouTube recommends checking internet strength and contacting your internet service provider when an outbound connection problem is found (YouTube stream troubleshooting).

Make changes safely on a 24/7 channel
- Record the symptom and the point in the chain where the gap first becomes audible.
- Test the affected files consecutively outside the live output.
- Check the relevant OBS source, playlist loop, and visibility behavior; change one setting at a time.
- Run a private or otherwise safe test using audio and movement similar to the intended stream.
- During the test, check encoder output, CPU load, local archive, YouTube health messages, and—if there are dropped frames or random stalls—the outbound connection.
- Once the test is clean, apply the verified change to the 24/7 broadcast and continue monitoring transitions and health messages.
