First, identify which ANTONBLAST edition you are using
ANTONBLAST has separate PS5 and PS4 editions. The official PS5 store listing gives a release date of October 15, 2026, says the latest PS5 system software may be required, and identifies DualSense vibration support. The PS4 listing identifies the PS4 edition and confirms DUALSHOCK 4 vibration support.

There is no confirmed ANTONBLAST-specific crash, freeze, or controller bulletin in the available official information. The procedures below are PlayStation platform troubleshooting steps. They can repair an incomplete installation, outdated system software, a license problem, a damaged save, a storage-related launch failure, or a controller connection issue, but they do not prove that every symptom has the same cause.

- Note whether you have the PS5 or PS4 edition, and whether the console is connected to the internet.
- Write down the exact symptom: failure to start, crash at a particular menu, freeze after loading, loss of input, or a warning code.
- Do not delete your only save or reset the console until you have backed up any data you need to keep.
- If the console displays an error code, photograph it. The code and the exact action that triggered it are more useful to support staff than a description such as “it crashes sometimes.”
Close other games and applications before testing. A clean restart makes the result easier to interpret and prevents a suspended application from being mistaken for a new launch failure.

When ANTONBLAST will not launch
Use this sequence for an icon that does nothing, a game that returns to the home screen, a loading screen that never completes, or a message saying the application cannot start. Test the game after every major step so you know which change helped.
- Check for an ANTONBLAST update. Highlight the game on the PlayStation home screen, press the Options button, and choose Check for Update. Install any update offered and wait for the download and installation to finish.
- Update the console. On PS5, open Settings > System > System Software > System Software Update and Settings. On PS4, open Settings > System Software Update. Install the current system software, then restart the console if prompted. The PS5 store listing specifically notes that the latest system software may be required.
- Perform a full restart. Use the power menu to choose Restart PS5 or Restart PS4. If the console is unresponsive, hold the power button until it shuts down, wait for the power indicator to go out, then start it again. Do not unplug the console while its indicator is still lit.
- Move the PS5 installation to internal storage. If the PS5 version is installed on USB extended storage, highlight ANTONBLAST, press Options, choose Move Games and Apps, select the game, and move it to the internal SSD. Run the game from internal storage during troubleshooting. This step applies to the PS5 edition; it is not a reason to alter a normal PS4 installation.
- Restore licenses. On PS5, open Settings > Users and Accounts > Other > Restore Licenses. On PS4, open Settings > Account Management > Restore Licenses. Select Restore, wait for the process to complete, and try ANTONBLAST again. Restoring licenses does not delete installed games or save files.
- Reinstall ANTONBLAST. Delete only the game application, not saved data, unless you have deliberately backed up the save and are testing for corruption. Re-download the edition you own from your game library. A wired network connection is preferable when available because it reduces the chance of an interrupted download. Let the installation complete before launching.
If the game launches after reinstalling, avoid starting it while another installation, system update, or storage move is still in progress. An apparently finished download can still be installing its playable portion in the background.
Use Safe Mode only after the normal launch sequence
If updates, a restart, storage relocation, license restoration, and a clean reinstall do not change the behavior, PlayStation Safe Mode provides additional cache and database tools. Safe Mode is a recovery environment, so follow the on-screen description for each option and do not interrupt the console while it is working.
- Turn the console off completely, not into Rest Mode.
- Press and hold the power button until you hear the second beep, then connect the controller with a USB cable and press the controller’s PS button.
- Use the cache-clearing or database-rebuilding option recommended for the symptom. These operations are intended to correct temporary system data or organize storage information; they are different from resetting or reinstalling the system.
- Restart normally and test ANTONBLAST.
Back up important saves before using any Safe Mode option that warns about deletion, initialization, or system reinstallation. A full reset can remove user data and installed games. It is not a first-line fix for one game that has not yet been tested with updates and a reinstall.
How to diagnose crashes and freezes
A crash is an exit to the PlayStation home screen or an error message. A freeze is a picture or loading screen that stops responding while the console remains powered on. The distinction helps you test the right variable.

1. Establish whether the failure is repeatable
After updating and restarting, launch ANTONBLAST and record exactly where it fails: immediately after selecting the icon, during a loading screen, when opening a particular level, or after a specific action. If the console freezes, wait briefly to see whether it recovers, then close the application from the home screen if the system responds. Repeated failure at the same point suggests a game file, save, or content problem; failures at unrelated points can indicate a broader installation or console issue.
2. Test from the beginning with a fresh save
Start ANTONBLAST from the beginning without loading the existing save. Do not permanently delete the original first. If a new game works while the old save repeatedly crashes or freezes, the prior save may be damaged. Preserve the original backup so you can restore it later or provide it to support if requested. A fresh-save result is a diagnostic comparison, not proof that every old save is unrecoverable.
3. Reinstall when both old and fresh starts fail
If the game fails in a new session as well as in the existing save, reinstall the application after confirming that the console and game are current. On PS5, keep the test installation on the internal SSD rather than USB extended storage. On PS4, allow the complete download and installation to finish before launching. If reinstalling changes nothing, stop repeating the same download and move to evidence collection and platform support.
4. Capture useful evidence
- The complete error code and message.
- The console model, whether you are running the PS5 or PS4 edition, and the installed system-software version.
- Whether the game is on internal storage or USB extended storage.
- Whether a fresh save works.
- The exact sequence that triggers the crash or freeze.
- A screenshot or short video showing the failure, when the console allows you to capture one.
This information lets PlayStation Support distinguish a reproducible application failure from a storage, account, system-software, or hardware problem. Include what you already tried so support does not send you through the same steps without knowing the result.
Controller problems: separate a game issue from a hardware issue
The fastest test is to use the same controller in the console menus and in another game. The result creates two different troubleshooting paths.

Reconnect and charge the controller
- Connect the controller directly to the console with a known-good USB data cable. Some cables provide power only and cannot complete data pairing.
- Press the controller’s PS button and wait for it to appear as the active user device.
- Charge the controller, disconnect other unnecessary USB accessories, and test again.
- If wireless input still fails, restart the console with the controller connected by cable, then retry wireless play.
For PS5 ANTONBLAST, the listed controller family is DualSense. For PS4 ANTONBLAST, it is DUALSHOCK 4. The store listings also specify vibration support for those respective editions; vibration not working by itself does not establish that all button input is broken. Check the game’s own settings and the console’s controller settings after confirming basic input.
Can you use a PS4 controller with ANTONBLAST on PS5?
The PS5 edition listing confirms DualSense support, while the PS4 listing confirms DUALSHOCK 4 support for the PS4 edition. The available listing information does not confirm DUALSHOCK 4 support for the PS5 edition. For a PS5 installation, use a DualSense controller as the supported baseline. If you are trying a PS4 controller and it is ignored, switch to a DualSense before treating the behavior as a game defect.
This is separate from using a DUALSHOCK 4 with the PS4 edition on a PS4 console, which is the controller pairing identified by the PS4 listing. Do not assume that a controller working with a PS4 game or with the PS5 menus will provide input to every native PS5 game.

First close ANTONBLAST completely rather than resuming a suspended session. Restart the console, launch the game again, and check input before loading the old save. A suspended application can retain a failed input state even when the controller is otherwise connected correctly.
If the issue remains, perform the same update and reinstall checks used for crashes. Test a fresh save, because a damaged save can load into an abnormal state that looks like an input failure. If another compatible controller behaves identically after a reinstall, the problem is unlikely to be solved by purchasing a replacement controller; preserve your evidence and contact support.

When buying a replacement controller is justified
Replacement hardware belongs at the end of the diagnosis, not the beginning. Consider it only when the original controller fails in the console menus or multiple games, fails after a known-good cable and charge, or the problem follows that controller when tested on another compatible console.
For PS5 troubleshooting, search for a genuine Sony DualSense wireless controller. For PS4 troubleshooting, search for a genuine Sony DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controller. These are the controller families identified by the ANTONBLAST store listings; the recommendation does not prove that your existing controller is defective or that a replacement will fix a game-only software problem.

A practical decision tree
- It will not launch at all: update the game and console, restart, move a PS5 USB installation to internal storage, restore licenses, then reinstall.
- It crashes with the old save but a new game works: treat the old save as the leading suspect, preserve its backup, and report the reproducible loading step.
- It crashes with both old and fresh saves: reinstall, then test again from the correct internal storage location.
- The controller fails everywhere: repair pairing, cable, charging, or hardware before changing game files.
- The controller fails only in ANTONBLAST: use the supported controller family for the edition, restart, test a fresh save, and reinstall before replacing hardware.
- Nothing changes after all platform steps: provide PlayStation Support with the error code, edition, system version, storage location, video or screenshot, and exact reproduction steps.
What not to do
- Do not repeatedly delete the only copy of a save while trying to diagnose a crash.
- Do not initialize the console or reinstall system software as an opening step for a single-game problem.
- Do not assume a controller is defective because vibration is absent when basic buttons still work.
- Do not test a PS5 launch failure from USB extended storage after being advised to use the internal SSD.
- Do not describe an intermittent crash without recording where it occurs; reproducible details are more actionable.
When to contact PlayStation Support
Contact support after the game and console are updated, the console has been restarted, the PS5 installation has been tested internally when applicable, licenses have been restored, and a clean reinstall has been attempted. Also contact support when Safe Mode cache or database tools do not change the behavior, when multiple compatible controllers fail only in ANTONBLAST, or when the console shows a persistent system error.
Send the error code, console and edition, system-software version, storage location, controller model, fresh-save result, exact reproduction steps, and any screenshot or video. State which fixes changed nothing and which, if any, changed the symptom. That record gives support a precise starting point instead of requiring you to repeat every basic check.
