Most Eufy Omni E35 streaks, missed rooms and docking failures can be corrected with setup or maintenance changes rather than a replacement. Start with the symptom: lower the water setting and inspect the mop pad for streaks; check physical access, map boundaries and Auto-Resume for missed areas; and clean the charging contacts, sensors and station area when docking fails. Remap only after those checks, and contact Eufy support if the robot still fails in a repeatable way.
The steps below follow Eufy’s support guidance for the Omni E35 (user guide model T210M), checked on October 13, 2026. App wording can change between versions, so use the closest matching label if your menus differ.

Start with a quick symptom check
One unusual run is not enough to prove a hardware defect. The E35 can leave a visible mark because a pad is too wet, skip a space because a chair was in the way, or miss its base because dust is covering a sensor. Use this order so you do not erase a good map or buy parts unnecessarily.

Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →| Symptom | Likely checks first | Escalate when |
|---|---|---|
| Wet streaks or water marks | Set water to Low or Medium; check that the pad is damp, not dripping; let the floor dry. | Marks continue with a clean, correctly fitted pad and a low water setting. |
| One area is skipped | Look for furniture clearance, a temporary obstacle, a closed door or a no-go boundary. | The area is open and mapped correctly but is repeatedly skipped over several runs. |
| An entire room is missing | Inspect the doorway on the map, virtual boundaries and battery/Auto-Resume behavior. | The doorway is repeatedly mapped as a wall after a careful remap. |
| Robot will not dock | Clean contacts and the two underside-front IR windows; verify station power and clearance. | The robot reaches a correctly placed, powered station but repeatedly fails to seat. |
Use a one-variable test whenever possible. For example, change the water level while leaving the pad, route and flooring the same, or clean the dock contacts without moving the station. That makes the result easier to interpret and gives Eufy support a clearer account if escalation becomes necessary.

Fixing mop streaks and water marks
Eufy says streaks do not necessarily mean the E35 is leaking or defective. Water volume, pad condition, humidity, floor temperature and mineral content can all change what you see. Troubleshoot in that order.
1. Reduce the water level
- Open the Eufy app and go to Settings → Water Level.
- Select Low. If the floor still needs more moisture, try Medium rather than returning immediately to the highest setting.
- Run the robot over a small, representative section of flooring and observe it after the surface dries.
A high water volume is especially noticeable on smooth surfaces such as tile or marble. A floor that looks streaked while wet may look normal once evaporation is complete, so do not judge the result while the mop is still passing over it.
2. Check the mop pad’s moisture and fit
Remove the pad and feel it. It should be evenly damp, not dripping. A pad that is saturated can push a visible trail of water; a pad that is worn or fitted unevenly can distribute moisture in bands.
Free tools Windows power users keep installed

- Wash the pad according to its care instructions and attach it flat, without a folded edge.
- Expect a freshly washed pad to leave more visible marks for the first few minutes. Eufy says this should decrease as the pad reaches its normal moisture level.
- Replace a worn pad. Eufy recommends replacement every three to six months, depending on use and condition; this is a maintenance recommendation, not a guaranteed service life.
Check for embedded grit, hardened detergent or a warped backing. Those problems can create a line even when the app’s water setting is correct. If the pad will not sit flat or stay attached, stop the mopping test and correct that fit before changing other settings.
3. Account for floor and room conditions
Humidity and a cold floor slow evaporation, making a normal damp pass look like a streak for longer. Dark flooring can make faint water marks more visible than pale flooring. Improve ventilation if practical, allow the floor to dry fully, and compare the result under ordinary lighting before changing several settings at once.
4. Identify white residue after drying
If the mark is white and remains after the water has evaporated, minerals in tap water may be the cause. Eufy suggests trying purified or softened water, or its recommended floor-cleaning solution. This is optional: do not assume a cleaner is required, and do not mix products in the tank unless the product instructions explicitly allow it.
Eufy’s product page lists a ready-to-use 473 ml floor cleaner as compatible with the E35. Retail listings and compatibility details can change, so verify the current label before use. A compatible solution may reduce mineral residue, but it cannot correct a dripping pad, an incorrect water setting or residue already on the floor.

5. Confirm the result safely
- Set the water level to Low, install a clean, evenly fitted pad and clear the test area.
- Run a short cleaning pass.
- Wait until the surface is dry, then inspect from more than one angle.
- If the mark remains, repeat once with purified or softened water. Change only one variable so you can identify the cause.
Stop using the mop function if water is pooling, the pad will not stay attached or the robot appears to be releasing water when stationary. Those symptoms are different from ordinary streaking and warrant Eufy support.
Fixing missed areas and rooms
Some omissions are expected behavior. The E35 may be unable to pass under furniture when the clearance is below its LiDAR detection height, mark a spot as occupied after encountering a chair or pet, or skip a room whose door was closed. Move the obstacle and start a new cycle, or use Zone Clean; the robot does not necessarily revisit a location it rejected earlier in the same run.
Check whether the robot could physically enter
- Measure the entrance and the underside of furniture rather than relying on visual space. The LiDAR housing needs enough clearance for the robot to approach without sensing a low obstruction.
- Open the door fully. A door that was closed during mapping or cleaning can make a room appear absent.
- Remove temporary obstacles such as dining chairs, pet bowls, toys and laundry from the approach path.
- Look for a threshold or object that the robot can see but cannot safely cross.
If the obstacle was temporary, do not delete the map first. Move it, then run the affected room with Zone Clean or begin another whole-home cycle. A new run gives the robot a chance to reassess the now-clear route.
Inspect the map and boundaries
- Open the current map in the app and zoom in on the room entrance.
- Check whether the doorway is represented as an opening. A solid line can mean the robot interpreted the doorway as a wall.
- Open Map Edit and look for an accidental no-go zone or virtual boundary covering the entrance.
- Remove or adjust only the boundary that is actually blocking access, then save the map and test the room.
If a doorway remains drawn as a wall, Eufy’s remedy is to delete the map and create a new one. Save screenshots of room names and boundaries first if you need to recreate them. Do not assume that a room omitted once needs remapping; confirm the physical and map checks first.

Prevent a low-battery return from looking like a missed room
In a larger home, the E35 may return to its base before it has finished. Enable Auto-Resume Cleaning under Settings → Cleaning Preferences. The robot can then recharge and continue the unfinished work. Without this option, an apparently omitted room may simply be the portion left after the battery-triggered return.
Remap the home correctly
Remapping is appropriate when the map consistently joins or separates rooms incorrectly, not merely because one chair caused a skip.
- Open every door that the robot should be able to clean.
- Clear loose floor clutter and move chairs or other objects that could change the route.
- Provide sufficient light in the areas being mapped.
- Place the robot at its station and start Quick Mapping if that option is available in your app.
- Do not follow the robot, pick it up, block its path or move the station during mapping.
- After the map saves, inspect doorways and boundaries before starting a full cleaning run.
Lighting and an undisturbed run matter because the robot is building a navigation model, not just tracing the edges of visible furniture. If you alter the room while it maps, the resulting map may encode a temporary condition. Keep the station in its permanent position throughout the process.

Put one independent report in context
An Ideal Home reviewer reported that an initial downstairs map omitted a connected hallway and toilet despite open doors. After the robot was moved to the hallway, those spaces were mapped. The same review described occasional route cuts and departures from an expected zig-zag pattern. That is one hands-on account, not a prevalence measurement or proof that every E35 behaves the same way. Use it as a reason to inspect your own map, not as a diagnosis.
Fixing an E35 that will not dock
Eufy describes docking failure as having several possible causes and not automatically indicating a product issue. Work with the station unplugged whenever you clean its contacts or sensors.
1. Clean the charging contacts
- Unplug the base station from the outlet.
- Use a dry microfiber cloth on the charging contacts on the base and on the robot.
- Remove dust, hair, debris and visible oxidation without applying liquid to the contacts.
- Reconnect the station and confirm that its power indicator is lit.
Dirty or oxidized contacts can allow the robot to reach the station but prevent a reliable electrical connection. If the indicator does not light, reseat the power cable and test the outlet before troubleshooting navigation.
2. Clean the IR receiver windows
Wipe the two IR receiver windows under the front of the robot with a dry, soft cloth. Check for dust, fingerprints, stickers or anything else covering them. These windows help the robot align with the station; a clean charging contact cannot compensate for an obscured receiver.
3. Correct the station environment
| Requirement | Eufy’s guidance | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Clear space in front | At least 1.5 m | Gives the robot a straight approach and room to turn. |
| Clear space at each side | At least 0.5 m on both sides | Prevents walls or furniture from blocking alignment. |
| Floor surface | Hard floor, not carpet | Reduces sliding or rocking as the robot contacts the base. |
| Light | No direct sunlight or bright lamp on the station | Strong light can interfere with infrared sensing. |
| Power | Power indicator illuminated | Confirms the station is receiving electricity. |
Keep the station against a wall in its permanent position. Do not move it between runs while expecting the existing map to remain accurate. Measure clearance from the station itself, including furniture that may be pushed closer after installation.
4. Remap if the station’s mapped position shifted
If the E35 reaches the base, makes repeated small adjustments and still fails to seat, the station location in the map may no longer match its physical location. Put the base against a wall where it will stay, then delete the existing map and map the home again. This is a navigation correction, not a reason to replace the station immediately.
5. Test after cleaning
- Place the robot several feet from the station with a clear approach.
- Start a return-to-base command.
- Watch whether it approaches squarely, makes contact and begins charging.
- Repeat the test once after moving no furniture and without touching the station.
If it docks once and fails again only when the station is moved, leave the station in the successful position and remap rather than repeatedly relocating it. If it never reaches the station, focus on power, clearances and map position; if it reaches but cannot seat, focus on contacts, IR windows and alignment.

When to contact Eufy support
Escalate after you have completed the symptom-specific checks and reproduced the problem under controlled conditions. Include the E35 model information, app version, a description of the setting used, and photos or short video showing the map, the station clearance or the residue. Mention whether the failure occurs every run or only occasionally.
- Streaks: report the water level, pad age, water type and whether the mark remains after drying.
- Missed rooms: report whether the doorway is open on the map, whether boundaries are present, and whether a fresh map made under open-door conditions still omits it.
- Docking: report the station indicator status, contact and IR-window cleaning, available clearance and whether the robot reaches the base before failing.
A single missed pass, visible damp line or failed approach does not establish a defect. A repeatable failure after a clean setup gives support the information needed to distinguish mapping, environmental and hardware causes.

Preventive checks take less time than repeated remapping. Before a scheduled mopping run, verify the pad is clean and evenly attached, the selected water level suits the floor, doors are open and temporary obstacles are removed. Before a return-to-base test, keep the station powered, unobstructed and in its mapped location. Periodically inspect the charging contacts and IR windows, and replace the mop pad when its condition no longer supports even moisture distribution.
When changing homes or furniture layouts, update the map deliberately rather than moving the station or blocking the robot mid-run. After maintenance, test one small zone or one return-to-base command before scheduling a whole-home cycle. This short confirmation catches a loose pad, boundary error or alignment problem while it is still easy to observe.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do streaks mean my Eufy Omni E35 is leaking?
Not necessarily. Eufy lists water volume, pad condition, humidity, floor temperature and mineral residue as possible causes. Set the water level to Low or Medium, make sure the pad is damp rather than dripping, and judge the floor after it dries. Pooling water or release while the robot is stationary is different from ordinary streaking and should be reported to Eufy.
How often should I replace the E35 mop pad?
Eufy recommends replacing it every three to six months depending on use and condition. Replace it sooner if it is worn, warped, cannot sit flat or distributes water unevenly. The interval is a maintenance recommendation, not a guaranteed service life.
Can I use tap water in the E35?
Tap water may leave white mineral residue after evaporation. Eufy suggests purified or softened water, or its recommended floor-cleaning solution, as optional ways to reduce that residue. The Eufy product page lists a ready-to-use 473 ml cleaner as compatible with the E35. Follow the current product label and do not mix solutions unless the instructions permit it.

Why does the E35 miss a room only sometimes?
A chair, pet, toy or other obstacle can cause the robot to treat a location as occupied for the remainder of that cleaning cycle. A low battery can also send it back to the station before it reaches the room. Move the obstacle and run the area again with Zone Clean or a new cycle, and enable Auto-Resume Cleaning for larger homes.
Should I remap after one missed area?
No. First confirm that the robot could physically enter, the door was open and no no-go zone or virtual boundary blocked the entrance. Remap when the doorway is repeatedly shown as a wall or rooms are consistently joined or separated incorrectly. During Quick Mapping, open intended doors, clear clutter, provide sufficient light and do not disturb the robot or station.
How much space does the docking station need?
Eufy specifies at least 1.5 m of clear space in front and at least 0.5 m on each side. Use a hard floor, keep the station against a wall in its permanent position, and avoid direct sunlight or a bright lamp shining on it. Confirm that the station power indicator is lit.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Why does the robot reach the base but keep adjusting instead of docking?
Clean the charging contacts on the robot and base with a dry microfiber cloth after unplugging the station, and clean the two underside-front IR receiver windows. If the station was moved, its mapped position may no longer match its physical location. Return it to the permanent wall position and remap if repeated alignment attempts continue.
What should I send Eufy if the problem continues?
Provide the model information, app version, symptom settings and a photo or short video. For streaks, include pad age, water level, water type and whether marks remain after drying. For missed rooms, show the doorway, map boundaries and remapping result. For docking, show the station indicator, clearances and whether the robot reaches the base.
The Bottom Line
For streaks, lower the water level, use an evenly damp pad and check for mineral residue after drying. For missed rooms, verify access, map openings, boundaries and Auto-Resume before remapping. For docking failures, clean the contacts and IR windows, meet Eufy’s station-clearance requirements and remap only if the station moved. Escalate a repeatable failure to Eufy with clear test details.
