Use Steam’s Upcoming Releases page to browse Popular Upcoming or All Upcoming games, then check each candidate’s store page for the “Souls-like” tag and current release date. Wishlist games you want to follow; where Steam’s experimental Personal Calendar is available, it can help surface those titles as launch approaches.
Browse Steam’s Upcoming Releases
Open Steam’s Upcoming Releases page. It separates games into two lists:

- Popular Upcoming prioritizes popularity, making it a quicker starting point if you want a shorter list.
- All Upcoming gives you a broader feed to scan for less prominent games.
Steam shows release dates and store tags alongside titles on this page. For example, a page captured on October 4, 2026 showed Valor Mortis with the “Souls-like” tag and an October 13, 2026 release date. That is a point-in-time listing, not a guaranteed launch date; check the live listing before relying on it.

Find more candidates with Steam search
Steam’s Coming Soon search results provide another route to upcoming products and their release-date information. Search for “Souls-like,” or apply the tag filter if it is available in the store interface. Open promising results and verify the tag on each individual game page.
#1 Best Overall
- 1TB NVMe SSD
- 1280 x 800 HDR OLED display with premium anti-glare etched glass, 7.4" Diagonal display size up to 90Hz refresh rate
- Wi-Fi 6E
- 50Whr battery; 3-12 hours of gameplay (content-dependent)
- Carrying case with removable liner
Tags are useful discovery clues, not a complete or definitive genre index. The available information does not establish that every Soulslike uses Steam’s “Souls-like” tag, so a tag-based search can miss games. Likewise, a tag is a store categorization, not an editorial guarantee about a game’s mechanics.
Choose the right Steam list or calendar
| Option | Best for | Tag control and personalization | Coverage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Popular Upcoming | A popularity-prioritized starting list | Check tags on listings or game pages; not described as personalized | Upcoming releases; no fixed horizon stated |
| All Upcoming | Scanning a broader set of upcoming games | Check tags on listings or game pages; not described as personalized | Upcoming releases; no fixed horizon stated |
| Personal Calendar | Revisiting games relevant to your account, including wishlisted titles | Steam’s announcement describes store-tag selection and recommendations based on playtime | Steam described an eight-week upcoming horizon, with recommendations refreshed daily |
Steam introduced Personal Calendar as a Steam Labs experiment on October 21, 2025. Its announcement describes an upcoming-games view, a store-tag selector, recommendations based on playtime, and an eight-week horizon. Availability and behavior may change because it was presented as an experiment; check whether it is currently accessible in your Steam account rather than assuming every user has it.

Wishlist games to keep track of
Add candidates to your Steam wishlist when you find them. Steam’s Personal Calendar announcement says wishlisted games appear in the calendar whether or not its recommendation system recommends them. The wishlist therefore gives you a way to keep titles in view even if personalized discovery does not surface them.
Recheck release dates as launch approaches
- Open the game’s Steam store page from an upcoming list, search result, calendar, or wishlist.
- Check the release-date field and the “Souls-like” tag on that individual page.
- Revisit the page closer to launch and use its current listing as the final check.
Steam’s displayed dates and tags can change, and a game’s upcoming status may change as well. The date shown in a captured list only describes what Steam displayed at that time; it does not establish that the date is final or that every announced game will appear immediately.
