Which Thornblade are you trying to find?
Aniimo uses Forms, so “Thornblade” can mean the standard species or the weather-dependent Thunderstorm Form. Treat them as separate hunts rather than assuming that every Thornblade spawn follows the same rules.

The species database describes Thornblade as a Grass DPS Aniimo evolved from Budsquire. Its listed level-1 values are HP 96, ATK 121, P.DEF 74, M.DEF 73, BREAK 53 and REGEN 92; those numbers identify the species but do not change the route to the weather Form. What you need before setting out
- Access to the world map and the Sea of Flowers region.
- Enough map exploration for Thornblade’s distribution information to be visible. A greyed-out species entry means the game has not revealed enough of the relevant areas yet.
- An activated Transporter if you want the shortest fast-travel option. A Transporter only becomes usable after you walk up to it and interact with it.
- A plan to capture the encounter rather than defeat it. The route guide transcribes the special spawn as singular and non-respawning, so treat it as a one-time opportunity.
You do not need to wait for lightning specifically. The special-form instructions state that ordinary rain is enough; thunderstorm weather is another qualifying state.
How to find the Thunderstorm Form Thornblade
1. Open the regional map view
Open Aniimo’s world map and inspect Sea of Flowers. In the lower-left map controls, select Aniimo Distribution. Alternatively, zoom the map all the way out. The game’s tutorial says this view shows each region’s Aniimo collection progress and weather conditions. The same information is explained in the guide to finding Aniimo by region, weather and time of day.
Use this screen before travelling. It lets you check the region’s current weather and whether your collection information is available, instead of walking to a location that cannot produce the Form yet.

Remain on the map or return to it periodically until Sea of Flowers shows rain or thunderstorm. Rain alone satisfies the Thunderstorm Form’s reported condition. Do not interpret the Form’s name as a requirement for thunder: the weather gate is precipitation, and thunderstorm weather is simply the stronger qualifying state.
Weather is regional. A qualifying condition elsewhere on the map does not make the Sea of Flowers spawn available; the Sea of Flowers weather indicator is the one that matters for this hunt.
3. Check for the blue rain-cloud badge
Open Thornblade’s tile or species entry while Sea of Flowers is wet. The small blue rain-cloud badge is the live availability cue for the weather variant. If the regional label says rain but the Thornblade tile has no badge, recheck the entry before travelling; the guide uses the badge to distinguish an available weather Form from a normal listing.
The weather label and the badge answer related but different questions. The regional label describes the map’s conditions. The badge confirms that Thornblade’s weather Form is currently represented in the distribution interface.
4. Mark or track the habitat
From the Thornblade distribution or habitat entry, mark the spawn and activate the game’s tracking option. The interactive map may show the general spawn area, while tracking supplies an on-screen direction and distance indicator as you move. Select the Thornblade destination rather than relying on a guessed compass heading.

If the game has not revealed the entry, explore additional areas and check the map again. A greyed-out distribution record is an information-unlock issue, not proof that the Form has disappeared.
5. Choose a route from an active Transporter
Travel from an activated Transporter when possible. For a selected destination, the map can choose a nearby active Transporter and suggest a route. Walk up to any new Transporter and interact with it first; until that activation, it cannot serve as a teleport destination.
Map destinations can also include activated Outposts, Branches, Blooms and Sanctums. These markers are useful for positioning, but the route suggestion still depends on which destination is active and available for the selected Thornblade habitat. 6. Follow the landmark in the iris fields
When tracking brings you into the spawn area, look for an abandoned stone house with a red-tiled roof among the iris fields. The Thunderstorm Form Thornblade waits in the doorway. This landmark is the practical navigation reference supplied for the encounter; no exact numerical coordinate has been established by the route guide.
Because there is no verified coordinate to enter, do not substitute an invented latitude, longitude, grid reference or compass bearing. Keep the Thornblade tracker active while you search around the house, and use the red roof and iris fields to identify the correct structure.
7. Capture the encounter
Approach the doorway carefully and begin the encounter when you are ready to capture Thornblade. The route guide reports the special spawn as singular and non-respawning, based on the spawn card it reproduces from the game. Avoid defeating it before capture: if the one-time rule applies in your client, the opportunity may not return.
How to find an ordinary Thornblade
If you are not specifically hunting the Thunderstorm Form, start with the standard species listing instead of waiting for rain. Thornblade is reported in both Sea of Flowers and Rosetower Woods, and its species page links to 31 spawn points. Open the distribution or habitat entry, select one of the listed points, and follow the map marker or tracking indicator.

The ordinary listing does not state a special weather requirement. That does not override the Form rule: if the tile identifies a particular weather Form, apply the badge and regional-weather checks described above. The key distinction is that a normal Thornblade habitat marker is a species location, while the blue rain-cloud badge signals that the weather-dependent version is currently available.

How Aniimo’s map tools help with this route
Aniimo Distribution
Aniimo Distribution is the lower-left map control, and it is also reachable by fully zooming out. It combines regional collection progress with current weather. For Thornblade, use it to confirm that you are checking Sea of Flowers rather than Rosetower Woods and to see whether the weather gate can currently be met.
The tutorial wording reproduced by the guide is: “press Aniimo Distribution in the lower-left corner of the map, or zoom the map all the way out, to view each region’s Aniimo collection progress and weather conditions.” This is the fastest way to check the correct region before committing to a trip.
Species and habitat entries
The species tile connects the creature to its known habitat information. The standard Thornblade listing covers the broader species distribution, whereas the blue badge identifies the weather-dependent Form. A greyed-out tile indicates that distribution data is hidden because you have not explored enough areas.
Tracking and marker filters
The map shows your position and location markers, and its marker filters can reduce the display to the types of destinations you need. Tracking gives a direction-and-distance indicator toward a selected destination. It is more reliable than navigating from memory because the special Form’s route source supplies a recognizable landmark but no coordinate.
Transporters and other teleport destinations
Transporters must be activated in person before use. Once active, the map can suggest a route from a nearby Transporter to a selected destination. Activated Outposts, Branches, Blooms and Sanctums are also listed as teleport destinations, so opening the destination picker can reduce unnecessary travel.
What to do when Thornblade does not appear
The region is dry
Wait for Sea of Flowers to change to rain or thunderstorm. The Thunderstorm Form is weather-bound, so searching the landmark during clear conditions is premature. Check Aniimo Distribution again after the regional weather changes.
Rain is shown, but there is no blue badge
Open the Thornblade tile directly and confirm the badge rather than relying only on the large regional weather label. The badge is the guide’s availability signal for the Form. If it remains absent, leave and re-open the distribution view after the weather display updates.

You checked the wrong region
The basic species can be listed in Rosetower Woods, but the Thunderstorm Form route is reported only for Sea of Flowers. A rainy Rosetower Woods map does not satisfy the Sea of Flowers condition. Switch the regional map view before tracking.

The Thornblade entry is greyed out
Continue exploring. The game help text says distribution information stays hidden until enough areas have been explored. A greyed-out record therefore cannot be used to conclude that the creature is missing from Sea of Flowers.
The map shows a destination, but fast travel is unavailable
Check whether the Transporter has actually been activated. Walk to it and interact with it, then reopen the route suggestion. You can also use another active Outpost, Branch, Bloom or Sanctum listed by the map.
You cannot find the house
Keep the Thornblade destination selected so the direction and distance indicator remains visible. Search among the iris fields for the abandoned stone structure with the red-tiled roof and inspect its doorway. The available route description does not provide a coordinate, so a numeric search cannot resolve this landmark more precisely.

The guide describes the special spawn as singular and non-respawning and advises treating it as a one-time capture. It does not document a recovery method after defeat. If this happened, verify the encounter state in your current client rather than assuming that changing weather will create another copy.

Aniimo’s in-game Forms entry explains that one species can evolve into different Forms in different regions, weather, times of day or other special environments. It also notes that a rare Form can appear only in a Prismana environment. The wording reproduced by the guide is:
“The same species of Aniimo may evolve into different Forms in different regions, weather, times of day, or other special environments in order to survive. There is also a rare Form that only appears in a Prismana environment.”
That rule is why the ordinary Thornblade habitat list and the Thunderstorm Form route should not be merged. The species can be listed in more than one region while a particular Form remains tied to one region and one environmental condition.

Practical pitfalls to avoid
- Chasing thunder instead of rain: ordinary rain is enough, so waiting for a lightning event can delay the hunt unnecessarily.
- Confusing the region label with the Form badge: check both. The region describes weather; the tile indicates the Form’s availability.
- Following an unactivated Transporter: a marker is not automatically a usable fast-travel point. Activate it in person first.
- Searching by invented coordinates: the route description gives a house and field landmark, not a numerical location.
- Defeating the encounter casually: the reported spawn is singular and non-respawning, so prepare to capture before starting the fight.
- Assuming a greyed-out tile means an empty spawn: it may only mean that exploration has not revealed the distribution data.
Version and source limitations
The route instructions are unofficial. The route pages say their observations were checked against client build 1.0.0.7 and game data, and the relevant pages date their information to September 2026. Map labels, spawn rules and Form behavior can change with a patch, so compare your live client’s interface with the current map if a control has moved or the badge behaves differently.
