There is no Woodland Beast trophy listed in the trophy guide cited here: Woodland Beast is a Velen contract. If you mean the Woodland Spirit trophy, that is tied to a different quest, Contract: In the Heart of the Forest. The walkthrough below covers the Woodland Beast contract first, then points you to the right quest for the trophy.
How to complete Contract: Woodland Beast
The contract takes place in Velen, starts from a notice board near the Border Post, and has a suggested level of 6. That is the game’s recommendation, not a stated level requirement. The Official Witcher Wiki places the associated camp northwest of the Inn at the Crossroads; Prima Games’ Complete Edition guide describes the notice board as near the Border Post along the Pontar river.

- Take the contract notice. Find the notice board near the Border Post in Velen and read the Woodland Beast notice.
- Speak with the guardpost captain. The walkthrough begins with the captain at the guardpost, who gives you the initial lead.
- Inspect the attacked transport. Go to the transport site and use Witcher Senses to examine the evidence.
- Follow the trail. Keep using Witcher Senses to track the attackers. The trail leads to a Scoia’tael group, not a beast.
- Choose what to do with the Scoia’tael. The meaningful branch is whether to kill them or let them go. Either choice can complete the contract; the available sources do not establish one universal reward set for every route.
Which quest has the Woodland Spirit trophy?
For the trophy, look for Contract: In the Heart of the Forest, not Woodland Beast. The PlayStationTrophies.org guide for the Game of the Year Edition associates the Woodland Spirit trophy with that separate contract and indicates that earning it requires taking the route that kills the Woodland Spirit. Its guide is edition-specific and older, so it does not establish that trophy lists are identical across every current platform or edition.
| What you may mean | Type | Quest or location |
|---|---|---|
| Woodland Beast | Contract, not a trophy in the cited trophy guide | Velen; notice board near the Border Post |
| Woodland Spirit | Trophy | Contract: In the Heart of the Forest |
If the Woodland Spirit trophy was not credited
CD PROJEKT RED’s support page, “Trophy wasn’t credited”, gives general troubleshooting guidance: clear the console cache and, if needed, reload a save from before the objectives and trigger them again. This is general trophy support, not confirmation of a Woodland Beast trophy.
