The Weathered Key is outside the back door of the house where the Lullaby quest begins in Fallen Village. Start at the Marketplace lantern, follow the flames toward the water, enter the nearby house and approach its empty crib. After the quest starts, leave through the back door, pick up the key near the enemies, use it on the house across the river, take the Toy from the bed, and return it to the crib. Completion awards Tomorrow’s Promise Amber.
What you need to do
Lullaby is a short retrieval quest in Fallen Village. It has one fixed route rather than alternate solutions:

The route is described consistently by two PowerPyx walkthroughs published October 13, 2026. Both give the same sequence. No official game-source route or independent publisher confirmation is identified, so the directions below stay to the locations and actions those walkthroughs document.

Use the Marketplace lantern as your reference point
Travel to Fallen Village > Marketplace and locate the lantern. This is the reliable starting landmark for the quest route. From the lantern, head toward the water area. You should be able to see flames in the distance as you move in that direction.

Enter the nearby house
Continue toward the water and enter the house close to that approach. Inside is an empty crib. The quest does not require a dialogue choice or a separate item to activate it: walk up to the crib and approach it. Lullaby starts automatically when you reach it.
If nothing happens, you are probably in the wrong building or have not reached the crib closely enough. Use the Marketplace lantern, the water, and the distant flames as the three orientation checks, then search the nearby house for the empty crib rather than trying to activate a different object.
Pick up the Weathered Key
Leave through the back door
After Lullaby begins, do not follow the route back toward the lantern yet. Exit the house through its back door. The Weathered Key is outside, on the ground near the enemies.
Recognize the correct pickup
The key is not inside the crib house and is not in the later house across the river. It is the ground pickup immediately outside the starting house’s back exit. Move through that door and check the area around the enemies; collect the item there to add the Weathered Key to your inventory.

- Quest house: the building with the empty crib.
- Key position: outside its back door, on the ground near enemies.
- Next destination: a different house across the river.
If you cannot see the key, make sure you left through the rear exit rather than the entrance you used to reach the crib. The documented route places the pickup outside the back door, not in the room with the crib.
Find the locked house across the river
Return toward the lantern
Once the Weathered Key is collected, turn back toward the Marketplace lantern and follow the path into the previous area. This backtracking is intentional; the locked house is reached from the path on the lantern side of the river, not by continuing farther behind the crib house.
Use the Volunteer as the turning landmark
On the return path, pass the Volunteer. Immediately after passing that figure, turn right and follow the path toward the river. A house sits across the water.

Cross to the house
Jump across the river to reach the building. The Weathered Key is the item needed for its door. Interact with the door and use the key to unlock it.

There is no second key location or alternate door described for this step. If the door remains locked, confirm that the item you picked up was the Weathered Key and that you are at the house across the river reached by turning right after the Volunteer.
Take the Toy from the bed
Enter the unlocked house and go to the bed. The Toy is inside on the bed. Pick it up before leaving; this is the quest item that must be returned to the crib.
The Toy is not the final reward. It is the object you carry back to the first house. The quest remains unfinished until the Toy is placed in the empty crib.
Return to the crib and finish Lullaby
Retrace the route
Leave the house across the river, cross back, and follow the path toward the Marketplace lantern. Return to the house where you first found the empty crib.

Place the Toy
Approach the crib and interact with it. The Toy is placed there, completing Lullaby. The completion reward is Tomorrow’s Promise Amber.
If the quest does not complete, check that you returned to the original crib house rather than the locked house across the river. The Toy comes from the bed in the locked house, but the completion interaction is at the empty crib where the quest started.
Full route in one checklist
- Travel to Fallen Village > Marketplace and stand at the lantern.
- Head toward the water, using the flames visible in the distance as a guide.
- Enter the nearby house and approach the empty crib. Lullaby starts automatically.
- Leave through the house’s back door.
- Pick up the Weathered Key from the ground near the enemies.
- Return toward the Marketplace lantern along the path to the previous area.
- Pass the Volunteer, turn right, and follow the path to the house across the river.
- Jump across the river and unlock the door with the Weathered Key.
- Enter and collect the Toy from the bed.
- Return to the house with the original empty crib.
- Interact with the crib to place the Toy and receive Tomorrow’s Promise Amber.
How to troubleshoot the route
The quest has not started
- Confirm the area is Fallen Village > Marketplace.
- Start from the Marketplace lantern and move toward the water with flames visible in the distance.
- Search the nearby house for the empty crib.
- Approach the crib itself; the quest starts automatically there.
The documented walkthroughs do not describe a manual quest giver, prerequisite conversation, or alternate activation method.
The Weathered Key is missing
- Return to the house where the crib is located.
- Use the rear exit, not the front entrance.
- Inspect the ground outside the back door near the enemies.
The key is outside the crib house. Looking in the later house across the river will not find it.
The locked house cannot be found
- After collecting the key, head back toward the Marketplace lantern.
- Follow the path into the previous area.
- Pass the Volunteer, then turn right.
- Follow that path to the house across the river and jump across.
This sequence uses the Volunteer as the turn marker. If you reach a different building without crossing the river, retrace your steps to that landmark.
The door will not open
Make sure you are at the house across the river and that the Weathered Key was picked up from the ground near the crib house’s back door. The route documents the key as the item used to unlock this door; no other key is specified.
The quest will not complete
- Verify that you collected the Toy from the bed inside the unlocked house.
- Return to the original house with the empty crib.
- Interact with the crib, not the bed or the locked-house door.
Completion occurs when the Toy is placed in the crib, and the reward is Tomorrow’s Promise Amber.

Where Lullaby fits in Fallen Village
A chapter collectible guide identifies Fallen Village as Chapter 3: Rendezvous. That chapter label can help you place the quest in your progression if you are tracking collectibles or chapter-based objectives. The Lullaby route itself still begins at the Marketplace lantern and does not require a separate chapter menu or collectible screen.
Reward and completion check
After the Toy is returned to the crib, Lullaby is complete and awards Tomorrow’s Promise Amber. The Weathered Key and Toy are quest-route objects; the Amber is the completion reward. If you have the Amber but are unsure whether the quest registered, the defining completion action is the Toy being placed in the original crib.
What is—and is not—variable
The available walkthroughs describe a single four-part solution: activate the crib, collect the key, retrieve the Toy, and return it. They do not identify branching dialogue, multiple keys, alternate houses, different rewards, or competing solutions. The only location detail that requires careful orientation is the backtracking sequence: after taking the key, return toward the lantern, pass the Volunteer, turn right, and cross the river to the locked house.
