The Gaming Device in Beast of Reincarnation is a decorative collectible, not a weapon, armor item, or upgrade material. A third-party location guide places it on a shelf in the room at the end of the lower corridor in the Shopping Mall area of the Ancient Civilization Zone. You reach that route after meeting Kunai and entering the large room used for the Shopping Mall Elite Enemy encounter.
No combat statistic or gameplay bonus is documented for the item. Treat it as a collection and decoration pickup, and do not spend time looking for attack, defense, health, Walker-power, or other upgrade values.

How to reach the Gaming Device
1. Meet Kunai first
The guide places the collectible on a route that becomes relevant after you have met Kunai. If you have not reached that point in the story, the room and corridor described below may not yet be meaningful landmarks. Continue until Kunai has been introduced, then return to the Ancient Civilization Zone’s Shopping Mall area.

2. Enter the Shopping Mall area
Travel to the Shopping Mall section of the Ancient Civilization Zone. The guide does not supply an official coordinate or a numbered room, so use the area name and its major combat landmark rather than trying to match an exact map grid.
3. Find the large Elite Enemy room
Look for the large room associated with the Shopping Mall Elite Enemy encounter. The important navigation clue is the room’s scale and its connection to that fight, not a particular enemy drop or a reward chest. Once inside, scan the room’s edges for an entrance leading down or away into a lower corridor.
4. Take the lower corridor
Enter the lower-corridor passage from the large encounter room and follow it all the way to its terminal room. The guide describes the Gaming Device as being at the end of this corridor, so do not stop at side spaces or turn back after the first bend. Because no official coordinates are available, use the corridor’s endpoint as the primary confirmation that you are in the right place.
5. Check the shelf in the terminal room
In the room at the corridor’s end, inspect the shelf. The Gaming Device is reported to sit there as a decoration pickup. Look at shelves and other interactable surfaces rather than searching the floor for a glowing combat item. If the game presents an interaction prompt, collect it and verify that the item has been added to your decoration or collection records.

If the Gaming Device is not where the guide says
A missing pickup does not necessarily mean you are in the wrong zone. The available location entry is guide-reported and lacks an official version number, map confirmation, and exact coordinates. Work through these checks before assuming the item has been removed:
- Confirm that you have already met Kunai and are entering the Shopping Mall area from the expected story progression.
- Return to the large room used for the Shopping Mall Elite Enemy encounter; a nearby but unrelated corridor can lead to a different section.
- Search the entire lower corridor, including its final room, instead of checking only the entrance.
- Inspect the shelf from several angles and move close enough for an interaction prompt to appear.
- Check your decoration or collection records in case you picked it up earlier and are looking for an uncollected marker.
- If your game has recently updated, consider that an unverified guide marker may not reflect a changed layout. The reviewed sources do not establish a version-specific fix or an official respawn rule.
There is no published evidence in the reviewed sources of a combat requirement, boss reset, difficulty setting, or separate quest flag needed to make the decoration appear. Avoid inventing a prerequisite when the practical problem may simply be the corridor entrance or the shelf’s interaction angle.
What the Gaming Device does
It is a decoration collectible
The location entry classifies the Gaming Device as a decoration. Its supported purpose is collecting and furnishing or completing the game’s decorative inventory. That makes it different from an item that changes Emma’s damage, survivability, movement, or skill resource.

The reviewed location source gives no numerical value for attack, defense, health, critical chance, stamina, or any other combat attribute. It also does not list an upgrade level, rarity bonus, passive effect, or sell value. Do not assign a stat simply because the item’s name sounds like a piece of equipment; the evidence supports a decorative classification only.

It is not established as a progression gate
Nothing in the available entry identifies the Gaming Device as a requirement for a story chapter, boss encounter, ability unlock, trophy, or base-facility upgrade. You can treat it as optional collection content unless an in-game description in your specific build says otherwise.
Do not confuse it with Cleanse Walker upgrades
The Cleanse Walker is described in a separate review as the party’s base. World-found materials can improve its facilities, and the game also has systems for weapon and character progression. That discussion does not identify the Gaming Device as one of those materials.
In particular, the available evidence does not support calling this collectible a Generator Device or saying that it raises Walker Power, Knowledge, Calculations, or another Walker statistic. Those claims attach upgrade terminology to an item that the location guide labels a decoration. If you are trying to improve the base, look for the game’s explicitly described upgrade materials instead of diverting decorative pickups into that system.
How it differs from functional combat items
Beast of Reincarnation has several systems that do affect combat, but they are separate from the Gaming Device. Game Freak director Kota Furushima describes the design this way: “The gameplay blends two styles: the protagonist, Emma, fights using fast-paced katana action, while Koo supports her with powerful skills triggered via a command-based system, similar to a turn-based RPG.” The statement appeared in an Xbox Wire article dated January 22, 2026.

Parry points and Koo’s abilities
Successful parries earn points that can be spent on Koo’s abilities. Opening Koo’s command menu slows combat, giving you a tactical window to choose a support action. These points and commands are active battle mechanics; collecting a shelf decoration does not replace them.
Spirit Stones, katanas, and Charms
Spirit Stones provide combat customization, newly found katanas function as weapon progression, and Charms for Koo modify the dog’s support role. Those are the categories to investigate when you want a measurable change in damage, abilities, or combat options. The Gaming Device is not identified as any of them.

The official Game Freak overview and the current Xbox listing reviewed for this subject explain the game’s broader premise and play options, but they do not independently confirm this collectible’s location. The shelf placement therefore should be read as a practical guide report, not an official coordinate.

An exact coordinate, version number, or official respawn behavior has not been established.

Is the in-game Gaming Device related to gaming hardware?
No. The collectible is an object inside the game world. It is unrelated to a physical handheld, console, PC, or cloud-gaming device.
Xbox’s current official listing presents the game for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, supported gaming handhelds, and Xbox Cloud Gaming, with Game Pass access shown on the listing. Those are ways to play the game, not descriptions of the collectible. Availability, regional terms, plan eligibility, and edition details can change, so verify the listing for your region before choosing a platform.
Quick checklist for collecting it
- Reach the story point after meeting Kunai.
- Travel to the Ancient Civilization Zone’s Shopping Mall.
- Locate the large room used for the Shopping Mall Elite Enemy encounter.
- Find the entrance to the lower corridor.
- Follow the corridor to its end.
- Inspect the shelf in the terminal room.
- Record it as a decoration, not as a weapon or Walker upgrade.
The practical answer is straightforward: search the lower corridor and its final shelf room, and expect a collection entry rather than a stat screen. If the item is absent, treat the guide’s unverified version and map status as the likely source of uncertainty rather than assuming the decoration grants a hidden combat benefit.
