How to Find the End Date of a YouTube Live Streaming Suspension

Check the restriction email YouTube sent for the affected channel. It is the best place to find case-specific details and appeal instructions, but YouTube does not promise that every notice gives an end date. If the email does not state one, check the channel’s notices in YouTube Studio and follow the notice’s appeal or support route; do not assume a standard 90-day suspension.

Does YouTube show when a live-streaming suspension ends?

Sometimes a restriction notice may provide details about the account’s status, but YouTube’s general live-streaming guidance does not establish a standard suspension length or guarantee that a notice will include an expiry date. YouTube says live-streaming access can be turned off temporarily or permanently. The end date for an individual restriction therefore depends on the information YouTube provides for that account. YouTube’s live-streaming restrictions guidance explains the restriction and appeal process.

How to check your suspension notice and account status

  1. Search for YouTube’s email

Check the inbox associated with the affected channel, including spam and archived mail, for YouTube’s restriction notice. Read it for the restriction type, any stated duration or end date, and instructions for appealing if you believe the restriction is mistaken. The notice is the official starting point for those case-specific details; it may not give an expiry date. YouTube says the restriction notification includes appeal instructions.

  2. Inspect the affected channel in YouTube Studio

Sign in to YouTube Studio using the account that manages the restricted channel. Look for a restriction or feature-status notice associated with that channel. The exact location and presentation can vary; YouTube’s general guidance does not specify a universal menu path for finding a live-stream suspension’s end date. If Studio does not show a date, do not infer one from the absence of a notice.

  3. Follow the appeal route in the notice if appropriate

If you think YouTube restricted live streaming in error, use the appeal instructions in the notice. Do not rely on an assumed response time or outcome; use any timing or next steps stated in your account’s notice.

What the 90-day rule means—and what it does not

YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance says a creator needs a verified channel and must have had no live-streaming restrictions in the past 90 days to live stream. That is an eligibility lookback, not a universal suspension timer: it does not mean every ban lasts 90 days or that access will automatically return on day 90. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance.

Do not try to bypass the restriction

While a live-streaming restriction is active, do not stream from another channel to get around it. YouTube says doing so is prohibited and can be treated as circumvention. Use the affected account’s notice and appeal route instead. YouTube’s restriction guidance.

Live-stream suspension is not the same as a YPP suspension

A restriction on live-streaming access and a suspension from the YouTube Partner Program (YPP) are separate matters. YouTube’s YPP rules describe a 90-day reapplication interval after certain monetization suspensions; that interval concerns YPP participation and does not by itself establish when live-streaming access will return. Check the notice for the specific restriction affecting your channel. YouTube Partner Program guidance.

If no end date appears

  • Keep the restriction email and note any case-specific instructions or dates it contains.
  • Check Studio for notices on the affected channel, but do not treat a missing date as confirmation of when access will return.
  • Use the appeal or support route provided to your account to ask about the restriction’s status.
  • Do not use another channel to live stream while the restriction is active.
