A League of Legends account is a Riot account. If you can sign in, check the email shown in Riot account settings under account protection. If you cannot, search the inboxes you may have used for Riot messages, then try Riot’s official recovery options. If those steps fail—or you think someone changed the address—contact Riot Player Support.
If you can still sign in, check Riot account settings

Open your Riot account settings and look under account protection for the email address associated with the account. Riot’s Email Verification FAQ describes checking the listed email in account settings.

Confirm that the address is yours and that you can access its inbox. If it is unfamiliar or inaccessible, use Riot’s recovery options or contact Player Support rather than assuming you can update it safely without verification.

If you are signed out, search your likely inboxes
Check every email account you might have used for Riot or League of Legends. Search for Riot, League of Legends, verification, password reset, account notification, and purchase confirmation messages. A Riot receipt can point to the inbox you used; a transaction ID may also help establish ownership if support requests it.

Use Riot’s official recovery options
Try Riot’s official forgotten-username or account-recovery tools from the Riot support site. Riot says email verification makes recovering a forgotten username or password easier. If the recovery flow cannot identify the account, or you cannot access the listed email, submit a Player Support ticket using Riot’s official support channel.
Prepare ownership details for Player Support
Riot’s locked-account guidance says support may ask for information to locate the account and verify ownership. Provide accurate details through the official channel. Depending on the account, requested information may include:

Secure the account after recovery
Once you regain access, verify the email address, enable multi-factor authentication, choose a unique strong password, and secure the email account itself. Be cautious of messages or websites impersonating Riot. Riot Games Player Support says: “Never log in with your Riot credentials to any website other than authenticate.riotgames.com.” See Riot’s account-protection guidance.
