Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesTo find PlayStation Store deals on games you actually want, wishlist those games, turn on wishlist notifications, and check the exact edition and price on your country’s Store before buying. Sales run throughout the year, but no particular game is guaranteed to be discounted in any one promotion.
How do I get notified when a PlayStation game goes on sale?
Add the game to your PlayStation Store wishlist from its product page using the heart or wishlist control. Sony says wishlists are available on PS5, in the PlayStation App, and in the PC browser Store. Then enable wishlist update notifications:

These paths and labels are translated from Sony’s German-language PlayStation Blog; wording may differ with your system language, app version, or region. Sony says wishlist updates can flag discounts and price reductions, and can alert you when a wishlisted game joins the PS Plus Extra or Premium catalog. Sony’s wishlist guide was published April 20, 2026.
Where can I see current PlayStation Store deals?
Open the official PlayStation deals and events page and check the current Store offers for the specific game you want. Sony runs promotions throughout the year. Search or browse for the title and inspect its product page rather than assuming a sale banner includes the game or edition you have in mind.
The linked calendar is for the US. Offers and availability can differ by country, so use the Store for your account’s region to verify the actual price and terms.
#1 Best Overall
- Redeem for anything on PlayStationStore: games, add-ons, PlayStationPlus and more.
- Everything you want to play. Choose from the largest library of PlayStation content.
- Use gift card funds to contribute towards PlayStationPlus memberships.
Use sale events as reminders, not promises
Annual events can be useful times to check your wishlist, but they do not guarantee that a particular game will be on sale or that its price will be lower than an offer available now. The 2026 US dates listed by Sony were:
| Event | 2026 dates | Status on October 7, 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Days of Play | May 27–June 10 | Ended |
| Summer Sale | July 15–August 12 | Ended |
Sony’s Days of Play page and US deals and events calendar provide those dates. Event timing and offers vary by market and year; check the current local Store rather than treating last year’s or another region’s event as a live offer.

Check what the listed price includes
Before checkout, confirm the offer is for the product you intend to buy. On the game’s Store page, check:
- Platform: whether the listing is for PS4, PS5, or a version that includes both.
- Edition and content: whether the price is for the base game, a deluxe edition, or a bundle, and what add-ons are included.
- Region and currency: the price shown to your account in its country’s Store.
- Expiry and conditions: when the offer ends and whether eligibility requirements apply.
Some offers may be limited to PS Plus members, particular membership tiers, countries, or other eligibility conditions. Sony’s May 26, 2026 Days of Play announcement describes member discounts on select Store games and notes that membership promotions vary by region, tier, and eligibility. Treat the price and terms on your own Store page as decisive.
Rank #3

Compare digital and physical options when relevant
If you are willing to buy a disc and your console has a disc drive, you can compare the Store’s digital price with participating retailers’ physical-game offers. They are separate purchase channels: a retailer’s disc promotion is not a PlayStation Store discount, and retailer prices may vary. Sony noted both Store and participating-retailer promotions for Days of Play 2026; that announcement does not establish that a particular retailer has a current offer.
Do not rely on an arbitrary percentage-off rule to decide whether a game is a good deal. The official sources cited here do not establish a universal historical-low benchmark. Compare the actual price with your budget, the edition and content you want, and how soon you plan to play.
Rank #4
- Redeem for anything on PlayStationStore: games, add-ons, PlayStationPlus and more.
- Everything you want to play. Choose from the largest library of PlayStation content.
- Use gift card funds to contribute towards PlayStationPlus memberships.
When should you buy?
Buy when the current offer is for the right edition, meets your budget, and fits your plans. If not, leave the game on your wishlist and wait for another chance to check. Notifications can prompt you to revisit a price; they cannot guarantee that a discount will happen or return.
