Smuggler’s Hideout is an optional dungeon in the Outskirts of Mammon. From the nearby Beacon and camp, descend toward the cliffside cave, then walk through the waterfall inside to reach the reward route. The Coin of Mammon is the consistently reported main reward; plan to retrace your path, as enemies may appear on the way back.
Where to find Smuggler’s Hideout
Look for the entrance in the Outskirts of Mammon, near the Outskirts of Mammon Beacon and a camp. From the camp-side route, leave the higher ground and descend toward the cliffside cave. The entrance is reported to require no key, switch, or side quest.

Guide descriptions disagree about whether the cave is east or northwest of the Beacon, so use the camp, Beacon, and descent toward the cliff as landmarks rather than relying on a compass direction. See the All Things How completion guide, its later route guide, and PowerPyx’s walkthrough.

How to reach the hidden reward route
- Use the Beacon and nearby camp to orient yourself in the Outskirts of Mammon.
- Descend from the upper ground toward the cliffside cave.
- Enter the cave and continue through the area until you reach the waterfall.
- Walk through the falling water. It conceals the route onward; look for the passage rather than another obvious doorway.
- Follow the route to the reward area, collect the loot, then retrace your path toward the surface.
The waterfall passage is the key navigation detail reported by QuestDuo and the other walkthroughs.

What rewards are inside?
Coin of Mammon
The Coin of Mammon is the main named reward consistently reported at the end of the waterfall route. Guides differ on whether it is inside a sarcophagus or a chest, so search the reward area rather than relying on a specific container description. The reward is noted by All Things How, PowerPyx, and QuestDuo.
Other reported loot
- Vendrium or Ventrium: All Things How reports Vendrium behind breakable crates; QuestDuo calls the item Ventrium and reports two behind boxes. The spelling varies between guides, so check the in-game item text rather than assuming the names are interchangeable.
- Common Moonshine: All Things How reports this as loot at the nearby camp, before entering the cave.
- Coins and Gloom: A regional walkthrough and Nerd’s Chalk report these as enemy drops or contextual pickups, rather than the principal hideout completion reward.
Leaving the hideout
After collecting the reward, backtrack through the cave and return toward the surface. Some walkthroughs report enemies appearing on the return route, so do not assume the way out will be clear simply because you defeated or passed enemies on the way in. This return-trip warning appears in All Things How, PowerPyx, and Nerd’s Chalk.
