To find a Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) promo, check Pokémon’s official news and support pages for a current offer, read its region, dates, retailer, purchase and channel rules, then confirm stock with the specific store before you travel. For rewards earned by playing rather than buying, use the Play! Pokémon Event Locator and contact the local League.
Start with official Pokémon promotion information
Pokémon Support recommends checking Pokémon Partner Promotions and Distributions, Pokémon.com news, the Pokémon newsletter and social accounts, as well as local retailers. Search for the promotion name alongside “Pokémon TCG” or the current expansion or event name. Official information helps you identify the offer; the retailer can confirm whether a particular branch still has cards.

Pokémon Support’s page, updated January 30, 2026, says: “Please note that promotions and distributions are typically available while supplies last. Promotion details such as regions, retailers, and dates may vary and may be subject to change.” Treat an announcement as time- and location-specific, not as a guarantee that every branch participates.
Check the offer terms before you go
Read the announcement itself and verify each of these details:

- Region: Is the offer for your country or territory?
- Dates: Is it active on the day you plan to shop?
- Retailer: Is your retailer named, and does the announcement say that all branches or only selected locations participate?
- Qualifying purchase: Does the offer require a particular product or minimum spend?
- Channel: Does it allow in-store purchases, online orders, or both? Do not assume an online offer also applies in a shop.
- Availability: Does the announcement say “while supplies last,” or give other stock conditions?
A past US example: the March 2026 Perfect Order campaign
Pokémon’s March 13, 2026 Perfect Order announcement described a promotion starting March 27, 2026. In the United States, a purchase of $15 or more in Pokémon TCG products qualified for a promo card while supplies lasted. The listed retailer and card pairings were:

The announcement said qualifying purchases could be made in person or online. This is a dated example of how specific campaign rules can be; its start date has passed, so it is not a current offer to claim.

Confirm availability with the local store
Once you have found a live offer that names a retailer, open that retailer’s local store listing or call the branch before making a special trip. Ask whether the promotion is active at that location, whether the qualifying products are available, and whether promo cards remain. Pokémon’s stated supply and variability caveats mean an announcement alone cannot confirm a branch’s current inventory.

That is a sensible record of your purchase, not a universal redemption rule: the terms for each promotion determine how the card is claimed.

Look for League rewards if you want a promo without a retail purchase
Some rewards are tied to participation rather than a qualifying shop purchase. The US Play! Pokémon League rewards page says participants may earn Prize Packs and other rewards, with distribution varying by local League. Use the Play! Pokémon Event Locator to find a nearby League, then contact its League Leader or host store to ask about the schedule, any participation or registration requirements, and which rewards are available locally.
Event dates are not automatically current just because they appear on a rewards page. For example, the 2026 Worlds Celebration tournament dates listed there were August 21–30, 2026, which have passed. Check the event listing and local organizer for upcoming opportunities.

Check country-specific activities separately
Promotions and events can be limited to a particular country. For example, the UK Pokéween announcement describes Play! Pokémon Store activities scheduled for October 1–31, 2026, including play and trade activities with promo and sticker rewards. The dates are UK-specific; they do not establish an offer in other countries. Store schedules are set locally, so check with the participating store before visiting.
Protect the card after you claim it
A sleeve is an optional way to protect a promo card. Pokémon lists card sleeves among the contents of some Elite Trainer Boxes, but that does not make a particular sleeve required or establish that one product is better than another.
