Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteThe fastest way to find a Pokémon museum exhibit near you is to combine two searches: check official Pokémon exhibition pages for touring shows, then search your city or region with phrases such as “Pokémon museum exhibit,” “Pokémon exhibition,” and “Pokémon event.” Treat the host museum’s own listing as the final authority for dates, address, hours, admission, timed entry and closures. Those details can differ from one stop to the next, even for the same traveling exhibition.
Start with the official touring-exhibition pages
Official Pokémon exhibition pages are useful for discovering shows that move between cities. They can reveal a tour stop that a general events calendar misses, but they are not always the best source for local logistics. Use them to identify the exhibition and possible venue, then open the host museum’s current page before making plans.

Search by exhibition name
Useful titles to search include Pokémon Astronomical Observatory, Pokémon Fossil Museum and POKÉMON X KOGEI. Add your country, state, prefecture or city to narrow the results. For example:

Then search locally
Run a second search using the location rather than the exhibition title. Try combinations such as Tokyo Pokémon museum exhibit, Chicago Pokémon exhibition, Hokkaido Pokémon event or Pokémon event this weekend [city]. These are practical search phrases, not measured popularity rankings. Include the year when results may contain old tour stops.

Verify the venue before you travel
Once you find a possible listing, confirm it on the museum or event venue’s own website. Check all of the following on the same page or in the venue’s ticketing system:
- Exact dates: note the opening and closing date, including the year.
- Address and transit: check the entrance used for the exhibition, not only the museum’s postal address.
- Opening hours and closed days: a museum’s regular schedule may not apply on holidays or during special events.
- Admission: determine whether the exhibition is included with general admission or requires an additional ticket.
- Timed entry: look for a date-and-time reservation, arrival window or capacity limit.
- Booking status: confirm whether advance reservations are recommended, required or sold out.
- Accessibility and age rules: read the venue’s current guidance if you need step-free access, sensory accommodations or child tickets.
Recheck these details immediately before departure. Touring exhibitions can change hours, ticket availability or entry procedures after an official schedule is first published.
Current Pokémon exhibition examples (checked October 13, 2026)
The examples below show how to interpret an official tour schedule. They span Japan and the United States, so they are not a complete worldwide calendar and may not be near your location.
| Exhibition and venue | Dates or status | What the listing establishes | What to verify locally |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pokémon Astronomical Observatory — Toyohashi City Museum of Natural History, Aichi, Japan | September 21–December 6, 2026 | Listed as a current 2026 stop on the official exhibition page. | Daily hours, closed days, admission, reservations and any venue-specific entry rules. |
| Pokémon Astronomical Observatory — Nagasaki Museum of History and Culture, Japan | December 25, 2026–February 28, 2027 | Listed as a future stop. | Opening-day procedures, holiday hours, ticket release and timed-entry requirements. |
| Pokémon Astronomical Observatory — Tottori Prefectural Museum, Japan | April 2–May 23, 2027 | Listed as a planned future stop. | Local schedule and ticket details when the venue publishes them. |
| Pokémon Fossil Museum — Field Museum, Chicago | On view through April 11, 2027 | The Field Museum’s listing says the exhibition remains on view through this date. | Add-on ticket availability, general admission, hours and reservation requirements. |
| POKÉMON X KOGEI — Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art, Japan | 2026 stop listed; the schedule excerpt does not state a date range | The official schedule identifies a 2026 venue. | Exact opening and closing dates, hours and ticketing on the museum’s page. |
| POKÉMON X KOGEI — Hiroshima Prefectural Art Museum, Japan | 2026 stop described as tentative | The official schedule presents the stop as planned but not final. | Do not treat it as confirmed until the Hiroshima venue publishes a final notice. |
| POKÉMON X KOGEI — Tohoku History Museum, Japan | 2026 stop listed; the schedule excerpt does not state a date range | The official schedule identifies a 2026 venue. | Exact dates, opening hours and admission on the host museum’s page. |
Do not mistake past stops for upcoming events
The Pokémon Astronomical Observatory page marks older venues as ended. A search result may still show those pages because they remain indexed, so compare every result with the date range before assuming an exhibition is still open.
What to know about the Pokémon Fossil Museum
The official Japan page says the Pokémon Fossil Museum tour in Japan has concluded. It moved to Chicago in spring 2026, where the Field Museum lists it through April 11, 2027. That means a Japanese result for the original tour is historical, while the Chicago presentation is the current example in this schedule.

Why the exhibit is different
The Fossil Museum uses Pokémon as an entry point to paleontology. The Field Museum describes comparisons between fossil Pokémon such as Tyrantrum and Archeops and real-world fossils, including SUE the T. rex. This is an interpretive museum exhibition rather than a general Pokémon merchandise event.
The National Museum of Nature and Science’s official page says the touring exhibition surpassed one million visitors in May 2025. That figure is an attributed milestone for the tour, not a forecast of attendance at any individual venue.
Chicago ticket planning
At the Field Museum, the exhibition requires an add-on ticket. Ticket availability is subject to availability, and the museum recommends purchasing general admission in advance to secure access; day-of availability is not guaranteed. Check the Field Museum’s current ticket page for the exact combination of general admission and exhibition admission before you go.
How to compare several nearby options
If your search returns more than one venue, put the details in a simple comparison so the closest event is not automatically treated as the best choice.
| Decision factor | Questions to answer |
|---|---|
| Distance and transit | How long is the trip by car, rail or bus? Is the entrance near the station, and do you need a separate reservation for parking? |
| Current status | Is the stop open now, scheduled for a future date, ended, or marked tentative? |
| Date range | Which days are available, and are there holidays or weekly closing days during that period? |
| Total ticket cost | Is admission included with the museum ticket, or is the exhibition an additional purchase? Are children, students or members handled differently? |
| Entry method | Do you select a timed slot, reserve a date without a time, or simply join a line? |
| Hours | What is the last entry time, and does the exhibition close before the rest of the museum? |
| Related activities | Are workshops, talks or family programs separately ticketed or reservation-only? |
Record the source and the date you checked each item. If a venue has not stated a value, write “not stated” rather than inferring it from another museum or another tour stop.
Understand tickets, timed entry and add-on admission
General admission versus exhibition admission
A museum may sell one ticket that covers its permanent galleries and another that covers the Pokémon exhibition. The Field Museum example uses an add-on ticket, so buying general admission alone does not guarantee entry to the Fossil Museum. Other venues may bundle admission or use a single timed ticket; never transfer one venue’s rule to another.

Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Advance booking and capacity
Advance booking matters when an exhibition has timed capacity. A venue can continue selling general admission while exhibition slots are unavailable, or it can release additional slots later. Read the ticket page’s availability notice and check the calendar for your intended date before booking travel.
What to save after booking
- Save the confirmation email or mobile ticket offline.
- Record the date, entry time and ticket type in your calendar.
- Check whether late arrival is accepted or causes forfeiture.
- Keep the venue address and entrance instructions available without relying on a search result.
Find events beyond a formal exhibition
Not every Pokémon-related museum listing is a multi-week exhibition. Museums may announce a one-day workshop, lecture, family activity, craft demonstration or school-holiday program. Search the museum’s events calendar as well as its exhibitions page.
Use the event date, not only the announcement date
A page posted months earlier can describe an event that has already finished. Look for the event’s start and end dates, registration deadline and cancellation notice. If a workshop is associated with a touring exhibition, it may require a separate reservation even when exhibition admission is included.
Check language and local naming
In Japan, a museum may publish the event primarily in Japanese or use a translated title that differs from English search results. Searching the venue name together with “Pokémon,” the local prefecture and the year can reveal the official notice. Use browser translation only as an aid; confirm the original venue page for ticket conditions.
POKÉMON X KOGEI: a craft-focused option
POKÉMON X KOGEI pairs Pokémon with Japanese craft rather than focusing on fossils or astronomy. Its official schedule lists 2026 stops at the Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art, Hiroshima Prefectural Art Museum and Tohoku History Museum. The Hiroshima stop is described as tentative, so it should not be presented as a confirmed outing until the host museum posts final dates.
Optional exhibition catalog
The official exhibition site identifies a 168-page paperback catalog, POKÉMON X KOGEI exhibition catalog, ISBN 9784808712686. It is an optional companion book, not a requirement for attending. Verify the current edition, seller and availability before purchasing.

- Define your radius. Decide whether “near you” means your city, a same-day rail trip or a wider region.
- Search official exhibition names. Start with the Pokémon Astronomical Observatory, Pokémon Fossil Museum and POKÉMON X KOGEI pages, adding your country or region.
- Run local keyword searches. Combine your location with “Pokémon museum exhibit,” “Pokémon exhibition” and “Pokémon event.”
- Open the host venue page. Confirm that the museum itself lists the exhibition or event.
- Classify the status. Mark each result as current, future, ended or tentative.
- Capture the logistics. Write down dates, address, hours, closed days, admission, timed entry and related-program rules.
- Check the ticket calendar. Look for add-on admission, advance booking and capacity warnings.
- Plan transit and arrival. Allow time for the correct entrance, security and any timed window.
- Reconfirm immediately before leaving. Reopen the host page for changes, sold-out notices or holiday-hour updates.
Common mistakes and how to avoid them
Relying on a search snippet
Snippets can show an old date or omit a cancellation. Open the full venue notice and check its update date when available.
Assuming every tour stop uses the same ticket
Traveling shows often adapt to the host museum’s admission system. The Field Museum’s add-on requirement is a concrete example; another venue may bundle admission or impose timed entry.

Calling a tentative date confirmed
A planned stop can move, especially when an official schedule labels it tentative. Treat the Hiroshima POKÉMON X KOGEI listing as provisional until the venue confirms it.
Ignoring the closing date
Many exhibition pages remain online after a tour moves on. The Pokémon Fossil Museum’s Japan tour is concluded even though information about it remains available; the current listing is the Field Museum presentation through April 11, 2027.
What “near you” can realistically mean
Without your city or region, no source can identify the nearest Pokémon exhibit. The official examples currently span Aichi, Nagasaki, Tottori, Hokkaido, Hiroshima, the Tohoku region and Chicago. Use the workflow above with your own location, then compare transit time and confirmed ticket availability rather than choosing solely by the exhibition name.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFinal checklist before departure
- Venue name and full address match the official host page.
- Your visit falls within the confirmed exhibition dates.
- You checked opening hours, last entry and closed days.
- You know whether general admission and exhibition admission are separate.
- Your timed-entry slot or advance reservation is confirmed, if required.
- You checked workshops or talks for separate registration.
- You saved the ticket and venue instructions.
- You rechecked the page for updates on the day before or day of travel.
Following these checks turns a broad Pokémon search into a dependable local plan: discover tours through official Pokémon pages, validate every detail with the host museum, and book only after the venue’s current rules are clear.
