1. Enter the cave route on the east side
Start from the eastern side of Pilgrim’s Zone and enter the cave route. The route, rather than an open-area search, is the intended approach to the camp. Keep moving through the cave until the named area Cave Interior appears.

2. Use Cave Interior as your navigation check
Cave Interior is the useful landmark for confirming that you are on the correct path. If you are still outside the cave network, continue along the eastern entrance. If you have already reached Cave Interior, do not turn back toward the earlier passages looking for another branch to the item.
3. Ride the elevator upward
At Cave Interior, take the elevator that travels upward. The direction matters: the Leather Garb route is above this section. Continuing through lower cave paths will not lead to the camp-side strongbox.
4. Arrive at Cave Depths Camp
After the lift, continue until you reach Cave Depths Camp. The pickup is not described as being hidden behind a combat encounter or puzzle. Check the area immediately beside the campsite.

5. Open the unlocked strongbox
Inspect the strongbox next to the camp and collect Leather Garb. Because the box is unlocked, there is no separate key requirement indicated by the item guide. Confirm the armor in your inventory or equipment screen before leaving so you do not mistake another nearby pickup for it.
When the item appears
One armor overview places Leather Garb in Chapter 4 during the “Origin of Ringing” objective and says it remains beside Cave Depths Camp. That chapter and objective timing comes from a secondary guide, not first-party game documentation, so treat it as useful progression context rather than an official chapter lock.
