- Search the official channel first. On YouTube, search within Takanashi Kiara’s channel or browse the Videos tab. Try both the remembered title and the game or event name.

Search the game and Kiara together
Start with the game’s official spelling and add “Kiara” or “Takanashi Kiara.” Then try likely abbreviations, a sequel number, or the event name. Titles can use punctuation, capitalization, or a shortened game name that differs from the wording you remember.

Use Holodex’s channel and date context
In Holodex, open Kiara’s channel rather than relying only on a general site search. Narrow the candidates by date and inspect related collabs or clips. If you remember that another Hololive member joined, search the collab relationship as well as Kiara’s own uploads.
Confirm the episode on YouTube
A matching game and date are clues, not confirmation. Open the watch page and compare its title, thumbnail, description, and runtime with what you expect. A stream may have been renamed or split, and a third-party record may refer to a stream that is no longer public.

Holo no Library explains that selecting a Hololive member displays YouTube links ordered from the oldest stream date. Its list does not include private videos, and a members-only link may be visible only to an account with the required active membership.
For a less linear view, use Holodex or VTuber-live to narrow by dates and content type first, then use the official watch page as the authority. Chronological indexes are excellent for discovery, but they cannot show a video that the channel has made private.

How to find Kiara collabs and guest appearances
Collabs are easy to miss because the host channel may belong to another participant. If Kiara appears in a stream hosted elsewhere, it may not be listed as a Kiara upload at all.
- In Holodex, check Kiara’s collab listings and the other participant’s channel.
- Search the collaborator’s YouTube Videos tab using the shared game, event, or approximate date.
- Look for event names rather than only “Kiara”; large broadcasts may use a group title.
- Compare the YouTube description and participants before assuming that a similarly titled solo stream is the one you want.
If an index shows a collab but the Kiara channel has no corresponding upload, that is not necessarily an error. The original broadcast may have been hosted by the collaborator, or the Kiara-side entry may be a clip or reference rather than a full VOD.
Understanding “archived,” “private,” and “unarchived”
Archived VOD
A VOD is a recording left on the service after the livestream ends. “Archived” describes that post-live recording, not a guarantee that every historical broadcast remains public.
Private
A private YouTube video cannot be watched through a normal public link. Holo no Library warns that private videos are not included in its member lists. VTuber-live may still show an entry with a private status, which is useful evidence that a stream existed but not evidence that you can play it.
Members-only
A members-only recording requires the channel’s applicable active membership to play. Finding the link does not bypass that requirement. Holo no Library specifically notes that members-only links require active membership.

Unarchived or not yet archived
An unarchived stream was not left as a normal public VOD, or an index has not yet recorded it as archived. HoloLogs says it catalogs “almost every archived stream,” while excluding unarchived and not-yet-archived streams. That scope means a missing HoloLogs entry does not prove that no broadcast happened.

If YouTube reports that a video was removed or is unavailable, an index cannot restore it. A retained title, date, thumbnail, or watch URL can document the entry, but it does not make the recording playable.
What to do when a Kiara VOD is missing
1. Correct the wording
Try alternate punctuation, spelling, capitalization, and the original game or event name. A remembered subtitle may not appear in the final title, and a game may be listed under a shortened or localized name.
2. Search outside YouTube’s general results
Use Holodex, Holo no Library, HoloLogs, VTuber-live, and Ragtag Archive. Their different catalogs can reveal a date or watch link that YouTube’s search ranking does not surface.
3. Check the collaborator’s channel
For a guest appearance or group event, search the other participant’s uploads and Holodex collab listings. The host may be the only channel retaining the full VOD.

4. Read the availability state literally
“Private,” “members only,” and “unarchived” are availability states, not search failures. They explain why a listing may exist without a public playback page.
5. Test the destination
Click through to YouTube in a normal signed-in browser session. If the page asks for membership, identifies the video as private, or returns an unavailable-video message, record that status rather than repeatedly searching for the same link.
6. Treat mirrors cautiously
Fan mirrors may be incomplete, removed, or unauthorized. They are not a substitute for the official YouTube link when one is available, and a mirror’s existence does not establish that it contains the full original stream.

- You know the exact title: search the official channel, then open the YouTube watch page.
- You know the game or month: use Holodex filters or Holo no Library’s chronological list, then verify on YouTube.
- You remember a guest: inspect Holodex collabs and the guest’s channel, because the broadcast may not be hosted by Kiara.
- You find a listing marked private: treat it as a historical record, not a public VOD.
- You find a members-only link: playback requires the applicable active membership.
- You find no entry anywhere: try alternate terms and collaborator channels, then allow for an unarchived, deleted, or never-public recording.
How to keep your own Kiara VOD index
If you regularly revisit older streams, save the YouTube watch URL together with the title, upload date, game, participants, and the date you last verified playback. Keep status notes such as public, members-only, private, or unavailable separate from the title. This prevents an old bookmark from being mistaken for a currently playable VOD.
