For current Samsung phone deals in the United States, start with Samsung’s Galaxy phone deals page, then open the offer for the exact model you want. Compare your total cost with and without a trade-in, and read that offer’s terms before counting on the displayed credit: Samsung applies anticipated credit at checkout but reviews the returned device afterward.
Where to look for Samsung phone deals
- Start with Samsung’s US phone offers. Browse the Galaxy Cell Phone Deals & Offers page for direct Samsung promotions.
- Open the offer for the exact Galaxy model. Confirm the price, trade-in value, eligible devices, and conditions on that offer page rather than relying on a general deals listing. Samsung’s broader offers page may also show promotions, but the model-specific terms govern the purchase.
- Compare the checkout total both ways. Look at the purchase total with and without your trade-in, and note whether any other discount is included. A displayed credit is conditional on the offer and Samsung’s review of your submitted device.
- Read the terms before ordering. Check deadlines, condition rules, combination restrictions, and possible chargebacks for the exact offer.

How Samsung’s direct trade-in works
Samsung describes its program as allowing customers to trade in an eligible device for “an instant trade-in credit toward the purchase of a new qualifying Galaxy device.” The anticipated credit is applied at purchase, but it depends on the qualifying new device, the eligible trade-in model, the promotion, and Samsung’s review of the returned device. Check your device against the condition rules
Samsung’s terms generally require a qualifying trade-in to power on, hold a charge, and avoid unexpected shutdowns; have a functioning display; meet the stated screen, case, liquid-damage, and general-condition requirements; and not be blacklisted. The device must have a verified FCC ID, be owned by you rather than leased, and be factory reset with personal information removed and software locks disabled. An offer may modify a condition—for example, where a cracked-screen promotion applies—so use the requirements attached to your order rather than assuming every offer has identical rules.

Meet the return deadline and avoid a surprise charge
The terms surfaced for the offer require the trade-in to be sent within 15 days after receipt of the new device. If it is late, Samsung may charge back the anticipated credit. If it arrives on time but fails eligibility review, the terms describe a chargeback minus $25. These terms are offer-specific; verify the deadline and consequences in the conditions for your order.
Check restrictions before combining discounts
Samsung’s terms generally limit trade-ins to one per qualifying purchase and say the trade-in cannot be combined with other Samsung, carrier, or retailer promotions unless the applicable offer explicitly permits it. Trading in a device also does not erase any remaining obligation you have under a carrier or retailer contract for that old device.

Compare direct Samsung offers with carrier promotions
Samsung also lists carrier offers on its carrier comparison page. One example shown there is up to $900 in promotional credit applied over 36 months with a qualifying plan; Samsung says credits can end if eligibility requirements are no longer met. This is an example on the page, not a universal credit or a promise that a particular customer will qualify. Confirm the live terms for the carrier, plan, device, account, and upgrade eligibility.

A practical way to choose between offers
- Write down the model you want and the price shown on its current Samsung offer page.
- Check the trade-in estimate and read the condition requirements for your specific old device. If its condition is uncertain, do not budget as though the maximum credit is guaranteed.
- Calculate the direct purchase total after the anticipated credit, then account for the possibility that Samsung’s review changes or reverses it under the terms.
- For a carrier deal, include the required plan cost and the full credit schedule, and check what happens to remaining credits if you leave or become ineligible.
- Compare deadlines, return risks, and promotion-combination rules alongside the headline price. Choose the option whose terms and total commitment fit your situation.
