Reach the Ornate Robe chest

- Travel to Zone 14’s Crater Zone.
- Move to the large circular structure in the zone’s northern area.
- Enter the structure and follow the main route toward its upper levels.
- At the top section, look for the control panel.
- Open the fixed chest immediately beside that panel to collect the Ornate Robe.
The landmark is also described by a separate armor guide as a fortress in the Crater Zone with a gate-control panel. What to look for inside the structure
- Correct region: the Crater Zone in Zone 14, not another zone with a circular ruin.
- Correct building: the large northern structure, rather than a smaller outlying facility.
- Correct height: continue upward along the main route; the chest is near the top.
- Correct landmark: the control panel is the final visual cue. The chest is beside it, not in a separate hidden room.
Because the chest is described as fixed, searching for a random enemy drop or repeatedly clearing nearby encounters will not help if you are in the wrong structure.

How to interpret the Flame and Lightning protection

- Element-focused builds: use the robe as a defensive base while Amber-slot effects provide the offensive or utility behavior your build needs.
What resistance does not tell you
An 80 rating is a listed resistance value, not a promise that incoming elemental damage will be reduced by exactly 80 points or 80 percent. The available item data does not publish the game’s calculation. Treat the number as a comparative rating: check the robe against the resistance values on armor you already own, then test the result in the encounters that matter to your build.

Defense, ranged defense and the slot trade-off
The equal general-defense values make the robe a balanced option rather than a piece that clearly favors melee or ranged survival. If your current armor has stronger protection in one category but weak protection in the other, the Ornate Robe can smooth that gap while adding its elemental coverage.

The five Amber slots are a major part of the decision. Slots have value only when you have effects worth installing and when those effects fit your planned build. A robe with fewer but more relevant resistances may outperform a higher-defense piece in an elemental fight; conversely, a pure physical encounter may reward the armor with the stronger applicable defense even if its elemental ratings are lower.
Enemy Awareness qualification
One guide labels the Ornate Robe’s Enemy Awareness as Low. That label appears in the guide material, not in the item-specific passage that supplies the table above, so treat it as a guide-reported attribute rather than an independently verified official value. If Enemy Awareness affects your stealth, detection or encounter-management strategy, confirm the value in your own game version before rebuilding around it. Two ways to obtain the robe
Chest pickup
The northern Crater Zone chest is the direct acquisition route. It does not require you to gather a listed recipe: reach the control panel near the top of the circular structure and open the chest.
Equipment-workshop crafting
The item reference also reports a crafting route. First raise Cleanse Walker’s Power to Rank 6; after that unlock, craft the robe at the equipment workshop. The retrieved item information does not list the materials, quantities or any additional workshop requirements, so do not rely on an invented recipe. Check the workshop’s recipe screen in your current game version for the exact costs.

Crafting is useful if you missed the chest or want another copy for a different loadout, but the source does not establish whether the chest can be looted more than once or whether crafted copies have any different properties.

Do not call the Ornate Robe universally best. Its value depends on the enemies ahead, your available slot effects and the alternatives in your inventory. Use this comparison order:
- Identify incoming damage. Prioritize the resistance that matches the encounter, especially if Flame and Lightning attacks are frequent.
- Compare general defenses. Check both Defense and Ranged defense on the competing armor rather than looking at one number.
- Check slot utility. Count only slots you can fill with effects that improve your actual build; empty capacity is potential, not current power.
- Check awareness behavior. If the guide-reported Low Enemy Awareness matters to your approach, verify how the value appears in your version before choosing the robe.
- Test in the relevant activity. A robe that saves healing items during an elemental fight may be preferable even if another piece shows a higher single defense value.

If the chest is not where the guide says
Work through the location checks before assuming the item was removed:
- Confirm that your map label reads Zone 14 and Crater Zone.
- Verify that you entered the large circular structure in the northern part of the zone.
- Follow the route upward instead of searching only the entrance or outer walls.
- Look for the control panel near the top; the chest should be adjacent to that landmark.
- Check whether you are reading a different armor chest in the fortress area. The fortress description is a broad corroboration, while the item-specific route is the precise one.
- If the location still differs, compare your game’s version with the item page’s August 8, 2026 update date. The available references were not verified against first-party patch notes, so a patch-sensitive discrepancy should be treated as unresolved until your in-game map and item data confirm it.
Do not assume that a missing chest means the robe is random or permanently missable; the available description identifies it as a fixed chest and separately provides the Rank 6 crafting route.
