Availability can vary by device and region. If you are looking for its audio controls, search for Sound Assistant in Galaxy Store and check whether your Galaxy phone supports the module.
How to find Sound Assistant
- Open Galaxy Store on your Galaxy phone.
- Search for Sound Assistant and open the listing from Good Lock Labs.
- Check the listing’s One UI support notes and install it if your phone is supported. The listing cautions that some devices may not be supported.
- Open the installed module and look for the control you need. Feature availability and menu labels can differ by phone model and software version, so use the options shown on your device rather than expecting a universal menu path.
View Sound Assistant in Galaxy Store. Samsung’s Good Lock support page also describes the module and notes that features and settings may vary by software version and phone model. If the app does not appear or install, check your phone’s Galaxy Store listing and software compatibility; do not assume every Galaxy model supports it.

What Sound Assistant can do
Sound Assistant is a Good Lock audio utility for Galaxy phones. Samsung documents a range of controls, but which ones appear depends on the device and software release.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteAdjust volume more precisely
Use finer volume increments when the standard volume steps feel too large. Samsung’s Good Lock support page describes 150 levels of detailed volume control. The listing also describes individual app-volume controls, so you can adjust an app without treating all audio as one volume source.

Customize the volume panel and volume keys
The module can customize the volume panel’s appearance and behavior. Samsung also documents an option to use the volume buttons for media volume rather than ringtone volume, and a setting to prevent navigation sounds from lowering media volume. The precise options and labels may differ across releases.
Manage app playback and output
Samsung lists audio output selection for apps and simultaneous playback by multiple apps among Sound Assistant’s functions. These controls can help when you want to direct an app’s sound to an output or allow apps to play audio together, where supported.

Sound Assistant is not Samsung Sound
Sound Assistant controls audio features on a Galaxy phone. Samsung Sound is a separate app for managing certain Samsung Q-Series soundbars, Wi-Fi Speakers, and Music Frame products. Samsung’s support instructions direct users to SmartThings for compatible audio devices when Samsung Sound is unavailable or the device is incompatible. That guidance concerns external audio-device control; it is not a replacement or migration path for Sound Assistant.
Choose the app based on what you are trying to control: use Sound Assistant for supported Galaxy phone audio features, and Samsung Sound or SmartThings for compatible external speakers and soundbars.
