The Manumit Hideout is in Svartrau City, but you cannot simply walk up to it and enter. Follow the quests The Firebrand, Shadows in the Woods and Where Loyalty Lies; the last quest takes you inside. To register the hideout for a later objective, interact with the wall outside at night.
Where is the Manumit Hideout?
Look for it in Svartrau City. The location becomes accessible through the Manumit questline rather than as an independently enterable open-world building. The route and night-only marking condition are detailed in PowerPyx’s Manumit Hideout guide.

How to reach and mark the hideout
- Start The Firebrand at the Military Camp. Free the Miller from the prison cell inside the tower and clear the camp. Shadows in the Woods follows.
- Complete Shadows in the Woods. It begins automatically after The Firebrand.
- Continue Where Loyalty Lies. This quest follows automatically. Keep completing its objectives until they take Coen into the Manumit Hideout in Svartrau City.
- Interact with the exterior wall after nightfall. This marks the hideout for the later A Deal with the Devil objective. The location cannot be marked during the day.
Meet the infamy requirement to join the Manumits
Where Loyalty Lies requires Notorious infamy, level IV on the Court infamy track, to join the faction. PC Gamer’s Where Loyalty Lies walkthrough describes several ways to raise infamy:
- Complete Vrakhir operations in a region, then anger a boyar enough to unlock and defeat that boyar.
- Destroy Soldier Camps. Soldier Pickets begin appearing at infamy level 2, according to the guide.
- Combine camp clearing with regional operations and a boyar fight.
After reaching Notorious, head to Svartrau and meet Sara to continue the Manumit questline.

If the hideout does not register
- Check that you have progressed through The Firebrand and Shadows in the Woods to Where Loyalty Lies.
- Follow Where Loyalty Lies until it takes you inside the hideout; reaching the city alone is not enough.
- For the later location objective, return to the wall outside at night and interact with it. The wall interaction is not available for marking the location during the day.
