The Haunted Floating Festival runs in Disney Dreamlight Valley from October 7 through October 31, 2026. Reach its island through the Plaza portal or select Teleport in the event tab, then explore for puzzles, ingredients and rewards. The 2026 official update confirms that new and returning puzzles are available, while the step-by-step solutions below are reported by a community-maintained guide and are not all independently detailed in the official announcement.
How to reach the Haunted Floating Festival
- Look for the event portal in the Plaza and use it to travel to the island.
- Alternatively, open the event tab and choose Teleport. Both routes are described in the official 2025 event instructions; the 2026 update confirms the festival’s return from October 7 to October 31. Official 2025 event instructions · 2026 Season of Scares update notes
The island is temporary. The official instructions advise returning as new puzzles unlock and completing them before the event ends. To leave, use the Wishing Well or open the map. Some puzzles may call for Valley items that appear only at night or in special weather. Some Royal Tools may not work on the island, although puzzle obstacles and some decorative objects can still be interacted with. DreamSnaps submissions are unavailable on the festival grounds. Ghostly Critter
Feed the Ghostly “Zero” Fox a Haunted Skeleton Fish. The guide reports that the fox gives one event-memory piece per day, so return on four days to complete the memory.

Combination Pillar
Find four green symbols around the island and use the nearby pumpkin counts to match each symbol to a Roman numeral. Enter the symbols in this order, as reported by the guide: spider web, bat, witch hat, cat.
Terror-rific Tree
Offer the tree 20 Haunted Crow Feathers, 15 Haunted Skeleton Fish and 10 Haunted White Roses. The guide says these items spawn on the event island.

Haunted Mansion armor quiz
Answer the armor’s four questions correctly to receive Haunted Armor. For the question about the Ghostly “Zero” Fox’s favorite food, the guide gives Blue Skele-Fish as the answer.

Lost Magic Page
In the haunted house’s back room, use a Repaired Haunted Key to access the combination puzzle. Completing it yields a Lost Magic Page; place the page in the nearby bookstand.
Missing Books
Move the four books to their matching shelves around the house, then complete the event memory puzzle.

Basement Door
In the back room, break the lion statue with the Pickaxe and collect the Eerie Basement Door Key. Use the key on the island’s basement door.

The community guide marks a final puzzle as scheduled for October 18, 2026, but does not yet provide its solution. The official 2026 update notes reviewed here confirm the event and its puzzles, not that specific date or solution. Check the island again during the event for new content rather than relying on the 2025 unlock schedule.

What to bring, where to look and what you can earn
- Bring or gather ingredients: The reported recipes include items from the Valley as well as event-island spawns. If a requested Valley item is missing, check again at night or during the relevant weather conditions, as the official event instructions warn that some items are time- or weather-dependent.
- Explore the house carefully: Several reported puzzles involve a back room, shelves, a bookstand, a statue or a locked basement door.
- Return for updates: Puzzles may unlock over time, and the island disappears when the event ends on October 31, 2026.
- Rewards: Official materials describe exclusive puzzle rewards and seasonal decorations. The community guide lists specific items including the Haunted Festival Dress, Haunted Armor, Decorative Magic Seal, Chomping Chest and Eerie Basement Door; treat that exact item list as community-reported.
The 2025 event used staged unlock dates of October 22, October 29 and November 5 for different puzzles. Those dates belong to the 2025 event and should not be used as a 2026 schedule. Official 2025 event instructions
