“Delisted” usually means a game was removed from one store, not that every lawful copy disappeared. For the classic titles removed from Steam in 2025, check your existing Steam library or the current GOG classic collection. For Wet Dreams Don’t Dry and Wet Dreams Dry Twice, Assemble Entertainment announced Steam availability only through October 23, 2026; both had live GOG product pages when checked on October 13, 2026. Genuine used boxed copies are another possible route, but their completeness and modern compatibility must be verified individually.
What “delisted” means for Leisure Suit Larry
A delisting is a storefront event. A publisher can stop selling a game on Steam while the same title remains available through another authorized store, or while people who already bought it retain an entitlement in their account. It is therefore important to separate three questions:

- Can a new customer buy it from this store? A “not available for purchase” page answers only that question for that storefront and region.
- Does an existing customer still have access? A library entitlement can remain after a store page stops accepting new purchases.
- Is there another legitimate edition? A GOG release, a different official store listing, or a genuine used physical copy may provide a lawful alternative.
None of those answers automatically guarantees permanent account access, a working installer on every modern operating system, or availability in every country. Store catalogs, regional rights and operating-system support can change.
The current status by game group
Classic titles removed from Steam in 2025
In an April 30, 2025 announcement, Assemble Entertainment listed Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude Uncut and Uncensored and Leisure Suit Larry 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7 as leaving Steam. The notice was specifically about Steam; it did not declare the games illegal, permanently unavailable everywhere, or removed from every other store. Read the official Steam announcement for the named list.

For people who already owned one of those listed games, Assemble wrote: “If you already own any of these retro gems, they’ll stay right in your library—ready to play anytime you need a nostalgic dose of Larry’s misadventures.” That is a publisher statement about retaining the listed games in Steam libraries, not an independent promise that Steam service, account access or compatibility will remain available forever.
The classic GOG collection
The GOG page for Leisure Suit Larry’s Greatest Hits and Misses described the product as five complete adventures when checked on October 13, 2026. It is not safe to interpret that description as “every Larry game.” The series area on the same site lists Love for Sail! separately, so open the product’s current included-game details before paying and confirm that the edition contains the title you want.
The classic listing also says the games are DRM-free, can be played offline, and include a fully offline installer without GOG Galaxy. It lists Windows, Linux and macOS support, alongside product-specific minimum requirements. Those facts apply to that listing as displayed; check the exact requirements for the particular product rather than assuming every Larry release supports every operating system.

The Wet Dreams games and the October 23 deadline
In an October 8, 2026 Steam announcement, Assemble Entertainment stated: “Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don’t Dry and Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Dry Twice will only be available on Steam until October 23.” At the October 13, 2026 check, both games still had live GOG product pages: Wet Dreams Don’t Dry and Wet Dreams Dry Twice.
The announcement did not explain why the Steam listings were ending and said the publisher could not share information about the games’ future. Commentary has speculated about licensing, but speculation is not confirmation; for example, PC Gamer’s report should not be treated as an official reason. Because October 23 was still in the future at the October 13 check, verify the live Steam and GOG pages again before making a purchase or publishing a time-sensitive recommendation.

“Not stated” in the table means the cited material did not establish that detail. It is safer than turning an unverified assumption into a purchase promise.
How to find the exact game you want
1. Write down the precise title and edition
Start with the title on the box or store page, not a broad search for “Larry 1–7.” The series has numbering gaps, and Larry 1 has appeared in multiple editions and remakes. Magna Cum Laude Uncut and Uncensored, the numbered classic adventures and the Wet Dreams games are different products with different storefront histories. Record the subtitle, censorship or “uncut” designation, platform and language if those details matter to you.
Do not assume that a collection described as five adventures contains every numbered installment. Open the current itemized contents and compare them with your list.
2. Check whether you already own a license
Before searching resale sites, sign in to the Steam account that made the original purchase and open Library. Search for the exact title named in the 2025 announcement. If it appears, its presence in that account is more relevant than whether the public store page accepts a new purchase. Download or install only from the account’s own library and keep the original account credentials secure.
If the game is absent, do not infer that a different account, a family member’s computer or a boxed disc automatically transfers the digital entitlement. Treat a new digital purchase and a used physical copy as separate routes.

3. Match the title to an official listing
For classics, open the GOG collection page and expand the included-game information. For the two Wet Dreams titles, use their individual GOG pages rather than a search result that may point to an outdated or regional listing. Confirm that the page identifies the same title and edition you intended to buy.
Storefront availability is regional and time-sensitive. A page visible to one country may not be purchasable from another, and a listing can disappear after this article’s October 13, 2026 check. If the checkout page does not offer the product in your region, do not substitute an unverified key seller or an “abandonware” download.
4. Read the product-specific requirements
Use the exact operating-system and hardware requirements shown on the product page. The classic GOG listing presents requirements for its own package; it does not establish requirements for every Larry release or every original disc edition. Compare those requirements with the computer on which you intend to play, including whether it has a supported operating system and enough storage.
Do not use the existence of a Windows, Linux or macOS label as proof that every included game behaves identically on all three systems. Requirements and installer support are product-specific.
5. Buy or install only through the route you selected
- Existing Steam owner: In Steam, open Library, select the exact game, and use the available install option. If it is missing, confirm that you are in the purchasing account before taking any other action.
- New GOG customer: Purchase the verified product page, then open the game in your GOG account and use the supplied installer or download controls. For the classic collection, choose the fully offline installer if you want an installer that does not require Galaxy.
- Physical buyer: Ask the seller for photographs or a complete inventory before paying. Confirm the title, edition, disc count, manuals, serial numbers or other items required by that edition, region and physical condition.
Keep your receipt, order record and installer files where you can find them. That documentation helps distinguish a legitimate purchase from an unknown key or a copied archive, but it cannot make an incomplete or incompatible disc edition work on a modern computer.

Playing the classic GOG collection without Galaxy
The classic product page explicitly says Galaxy is optional and offers a fully offline installer. This is useful if you want to install the purchased collection on a computer that will not stay connected or if you prefer not to run a launcher. Download the installer from your account, retain a backup of the unmodified file, and install it on a system that meets the product’s stated requirements.
Offline availability is not the same as universal compatibility. The listing’s operating-system labels and minimum requirements describe the supported package, not every historic retail disc, fan conversion or numbered game that has ever carried the Larry name. If one included title behaves differently, consult that product’s own support information rather than replacing the files with an unauthorized download.

The April 2025 notice supports a narrow but important conclusion: owners of the specifically named classic Steam titles were told that those games would stay in their Steam libraries. The practical test is whether the title appears under the account that bought it and offers the normal library controls.
That statement does not establish all of the following:

If you own one of the listed games, avoid deleting a working installation until you have confirmed that you can reinstall it from the same account. This is a sensible preservation step, not a promise that an installation will run forever.

How to handle the Wet Dreams Steam deadline
The official notice gives a date, not a permanent replacement plan. Before October 23, 2026, a reader considering either Wet Dreams title should check both the Steam product page and the corresponding GOG page, compare the edition and system information, and decide which official storefront best fits the intended computer.
On or after October 23, do not rely on an old search snippet or a cached article. Open the live pages directly. A Steam delisting would establish only that Steam stopped offering new sales; it would not prove that GOG removed its edition, and a live GOG page would not prove that Steam owners lost an existing entitlement. Treat each storefront as a separate status check.
Because Assemble did not state a reason for the removal, describe the event as a scheduled Steam delisting rather than attributing it to licensing, censorship or another cause. Those explanations require confirmation that the official notice does not provide.

Historical documentation, including the archived Leisure Suit Larry Collection manual, confirms that boxed PC collections existed. That evidence is useful for identifying editions and understanding what a complete package might contain; it is not evidence that a particular copy is currently for sale, authentic or compatible with your computer.
Before buying used media, request:
- clear photographs of the front, back, discs and any included manuals;
- the exact edition name and the number of discs;
- confirmation of whether serial numbers, activation codes or registration cards are present and unused;
- the seller’s region and the disc condition; and
- the return policy if the media is unreadable or incomplete.
Also check your target computer. Many current systems have no optical drive, and the existence of a CD-ROM release does not establish that its installer or copy-protection system works on a current operating system. A genuine disc can be a lawful collectible or resale purchase while still requiring older hardware or a supported setup that the historical manual does not guarantee.
What not to use as a substitute
Do not fill a storefront gap with unauthorized downloads, cracks, modified installers, torrent copies, “abandonware” archives or keys whose provenance the seller cannot document. A game being old, delisted or difficult to find does not make an unauthorized copy an official replacement. If a legitimate listing is unavailable in your region, wait for a verified release, use a genuine copy where local law permits, or check the publisher’s official announcements for a new route.
Likewise, do not advertise a third-party key as equivalent to a direct purchase from an official store. A key may be revoked, region-locked or obtained through an unauthorized channel, and a low price does not establish a valid license.

- Have you written down the exact title, subtitle and edition?
- Have you checked your existing Steam library before searching for a replacement?
- Does the official listing name the specific game you want, rather than only the franchise?
- For the classic GOG collection, have you verified which five adventures are included?
- Have you read the product’s own operating-system and minimum-requirement section?
- If the purchase is physical, have you confirmed discs, manuals, codes, region, condition and a return option?
- Are you using an official listing or a genuine used copy rather than an unauthorized download or unclear key?
- For either Wet Dreams title, have you checked the live store pages close to and after October 23, 2026?
The practical answer
Start with ownership, not piracy searches: an existing Steam owner should check the account library; someone seeking the classics should inspect the current GOG collection and its five-game contents; and someone seeking either Wet Dreams title should verify the individual GOG page while checking the announced October 23 Steam cutoff. A genuine boxed collection is a possible collector’s route, but only after confirming what is actually in the box and whether the target computer can use it. Those steps preserve the distinction between a store delisting, a retained license and a genuinely unavailable game.
