Where to look for Fortnitemares 2026
Epic’s October 1, 2026 announcement places Fortnitemares content in Battle Royale, Horde Rush and Reload. Look for those experiences in Fortnite and confirm their current availability in-game. Because the event is live and its content may change, check Epic’s Fortnite news if an experience or feature is missing.

Horde Rush
Horde Rush returns as a limited-time mode. Look for it among the currently available Fortnite experiences; the announcement does not specify a menu location or separate entry procedure.

What you need to join
The announcement identifies the experiences and event content, but does not state a quest requirement, access restriction or step-by-step menu path. It also does not establish that buying Shop cosmetics is required to participate. The outfits and accessories it discusses are in-game cosmetics; Epic said the Five Nights at Freddy’s outfits were already in the Shop when its announcement was published, with more cosmetics planned over October.
