To download an Apple Arcade game, open Apple Games or the App Store on iPhone, iPad, or Mac and choose Arcade; on Apple TV, open the Arcade app or App Store and choose Arcade. Select a game offered for your device and tap or click Get or Download. If asked, subscribe first. Available Arcade games have no additional download charge for subscribers.
Before you start: subscription and availability
Apple Arcade requires a subscription to download games. Apple says its available Arcade games can be downloaded at no additional charge after you subscribe, and that the games have no ads or in-app purchases. Apple One is another subscription option that includes Apple Arcade. Availability and features vary by country or region. Apple’s Apple Arcade support page explains subscription access and sharing.

Not every game works on every Apple device. Availability depends on hardware and software compatibility, and Apple specifically notes that not all titles are available on Mac or Apple TV 4K. Check the game listing on the device you plan to play on before downloading. Apple Arcade also notes that availability can vary by region.
Find and download games on iPhone or iPad
- Open the Apple Games app and tap Arcade to browse the collection, or search for the game you want.
- Open the game’s listing and check that it is available for your device.
- Tap Get or Download. If prompted, follow the subscription steps.
- After installation, open the game from its listing or find it in your Library. Use Continue Playing to return to a game you have played before.
If you do not use Apple Games, open the App Store and select Arcade to browse. Apple’s iPhone guide to playing games covers the Arcade collection, Library, and Continue Playing.

Find and download games on Mac
- Open Apple Games or the App Store.
- Select Arcade to browse, or search for a specific title.
- Open a game listing, review its details—including ratings and controller support—and confirm it is available for Mac.
- Choose Get or Download. Subscribe if prompted.
A title appearing in the Arcade catalog does not guarantee a Mac version. Apple’s Mac App Store guide describes browsing and downloading games.
Find and download games on Apple TV
- Open the Arcade app or the App Store, then select Arcade.
- Browse featured games and categories, choose See All Games to sort or filter, or use Search.
- Select a game and review its listing for compatibility and controller information.
- Choose Get to start the download. Subscribe if prompted.
Apple says, “Most games in Apple Arcade require a third-party Bluetooth® game controller or other accessory (sold separately).” That does not mean every game requires one: check the individual listing to see whether a controller is optional or required. Play across devices and share access
Apple says game progress is available on compatible devices where you are signed in to the same Apple Account. On Apple TV, the Continue Playing row can show games played on another device when you are signed in to Game Center. The game and device must support the feature. Apple’s support information covers progress and subscription access.

Apple says an Apple Arcade or Apple One subscription can be shared with up to five other family members through Family Sharing. After a subscription is cancelled, downloaded Arcade games cannot be played. Apple says resubscribing can restore access to gameplay data, although some data may not be supported after a long delay. If a game does not appear or download
- It is missing from the catalog: Check the Arcade section on the device you intend to use. The title may not be offered for that device or in your country or region.
- You see a subscription prompt: An active Apple Arcade subscription, including eligible access through Apple One, is needed to download and play.
- The game installs but will not launch or play: Check the listing for compatible devices and software requirements. On Apple TV, also check whether the game requires a controller or accessory.
- You cancelled and still see the game installed: Installation alone does not preserve play access; an active subscription is required.
