On PS5, open PlayStation Plus > Benefits > Game Catalog; on PS4, open PlayStation Plus > Game Catalog. Choose an eligible title and select Download. You need a PlayStation Plus plan that includes Game Catalog access, and the catalog is a subscription benefit—not a permanent purchase.
Find a Game Catalog title on PS5
- From the Games home screen, scroll right and select PlayStation Plus.
- Open the Benefits tab, then select Game Catalog.
- Choose an eligible game and select Download.
Find a Game Catalog title on PS4
- From the function screen, scroll right and select PlayStation Plus.
- Scroll down and select Game Catalog.
- Choose an eligible game and select Download.
PlayStation also says subscribed games can be found in Game Library. For the current catalog and console instructions, see PlayStation’s Game Catalog guide. The steps and labels here reflect PlayStation’s US English support guidance accessed October 4, 2026; interface wording may vary by region or software update.

Which PlayStation Plus plan gives Game Catalog access?
PlayStation’s US access guide identifies Extra as providing Game Catalog access and Premium as providing access to both the Game Catalog and Classics Catalog. A suitable plan is required to download catalog games. Names and entitlements can vary by market, so check the current regional plan details and the title’s local listing. See PlayStation’s access guide.
Does “claim” mean the same thing for catalog and monthly games?
No. A catalog game is selected from the Game Catalog and downloaded while it is eligible under your subscription. Monthly Games have a separate flow: PlayStation directs PS5 users to PlayStation Plus > Benefits and to select Download; on PS4, the instruction is Add to Library > Download. These are distinct from selecting a catalog title.

Can you stream a Game Catalog title instead?
Streaming is an option only when the plan, region, and specific game support it. PlayStation’s US guidance lists a minimum broadband speed of 5 Mbps for catalog streaming. For 1080p, the game must support that resolution and the connection must be at least 15 Mbps; if speed drops below that threshold, resolution may decrease. These are Sony-published service thresholds, not independent test results.
PlayStation also says Remote Play, Share Play, and Share Screen are unavailable while streaming, and some devices or peripherals may not be supported. Check the game’s available modes and current console guidance before choosing streaming.

Can another account use your catalog access?
Sony says selected PlayStation Plus benefits can be shared when the subscriber uses one PS5 with Console Sharing and Offline Play enabled and one PS4 activated as the primary PS4.
