Meet the robot at the drop-off point shown in the Deliveroo app—not necessarily at your address. When it arrives, use the app to open it, take your order, and close the lid before the on-screen Collection Window expires.
Before you place a robot-delivery order
Check that you can reach the meeting point
Robot Delivery is offered only for selected locations, partners and menu items. Before placing the order, check the drop-off point shown in the Deliveroo app. It is an accessible point outside your entered address that the delivery provider can reach, so it may not be your door or the address pin. You must meet the robot there and collect the order yourself. Read Deliveroo’s UK Robot Delivery terms.

If you cannot get to the displayed point, do not choose robot delivery. Use the partner’s usual menu for rider delivery instead; if you need help arranging that, contact Deliveroo through the app. Availability is also subject to weather and road conditions. The terms exclude age-restricted and regulated goods, including medicines, from robot delivery.

- Watch for the “on its way” notice. Deliveroo says it will notify you when the robot is on its way. Head to the drop-off point confirmed in the app.
- Wait for the arrival notice. The app notifies you when the robot has arrived. That notice starts your order’s Collection Window.
- Open it through the app. Use the Deliveroo app to open the robot. The terms do not specify exact button labels or a separate tracking screen, so follow the controls presented for your order.
- Take your own items and close the lid. Remove only your order, then close the lid and leave the robot where it is.
- Finish before the timer runs out. The app shows how much time remains in the Collection Window. There is no single wait duration stated for all orders.
What happens if you miss the Collection Window?
If you do not collect the order in time, the robot leaves and returns the items to the partner. Deliveroo treats this as a failed delivery: under its UK terms, you are charged for the items and delivery and are not refunded.
