Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteTo claim a Fortnite Item Shop skin, buy it while it is currently available: open the Item Shop in Fortnite or Epic’s official Webshop, sign in to the Epic account that should receive it, and complete the purchase at the displayed price. There is no separate claim process for a regular shop skin, and Epic Support cannot grant an offer that is no longer available.
Find a skin in the official Item Shop
- Choose an official shop. Open Fortnite and select Item Shop, or visit Epic’s online Item Shop.
- Sign in to the right Epic account. Check the account before buying; the cosmetic is associated with the account used for the transaction.
- Open the skin’s listing. Check its description, displayed price, and availability or end date. A listing on the website does not necessarily mean the item is still purchasable.
- Complete the purchase. Follow the checkout prompts and use the payment method shown. For a regular shop skin, “claiming” means buying it—not redeeming a guaranteed free claim.
Epic identifies the in-game shop and online Item Shop as purchase routes. Support cannot sell a cosmetic separately by deducting V-Bucks. Epic’s purchase instructions explain the supported channels.

What to do if the skin is missing or unavailable
The Item Shop rotates, and Epic does not promise a return date for a particular skin. If it has left the shop, check again later; Support cannot grant an offer that is not currently available. Epic notes that certain Battle Pass items released after August 7, 2024 may be offered in the Shop at least 18 months after the relevant Pass expires, but availability is not guaranteed. That qualification applies to those Battle Pass items, not to every skin. See Epic’s item-return guidance.
When the Item Shop refreshes
Epic says the in-game Item Shop and Webshop refresh at around 0:00 AM GMT. “Around” is important: use the shop’s About Shop panel for timezone information rather than relying on a fixed conversion for every location. The refresh time does not mean a particular skin will appear. Epic’s refresh-time help page has the current guidance.

If the web listing appears but you cannot buy it
A page can remain visible after an item is no longer available for purchase. Check the item description for its end date and confirm availability in the live shop. If the offer has ended, it may return as the shop rotates, but Epic does not give a guaranteed date. Epic explains why a web listing may not be purchasable.
If you bought the wrong skin
For eligible Item Shop purchases made with V-Bucks, Epic describes two self-service options. Eligibility depends on the item, how it was used, timing, and purchase route; check Epic’s current return and cancellation instructions before relying on either option.

Does a V-Bucks card give you a skin?
No. A Fortnite V-Bucks card funds in-game currency; it does not grant a named skin, bring back an unavailable offer, or guarantee a cosmetic will remain in the shop. If you use one, confirm that the card is valid for your region and redeem it to the Epic account you intend to use. Epic’s V-Bucks card terms describe the cards and V-Bucks as credits redeemable for in-game content.
