Ghosts 1–9 can be collected in any order; ghost 10 appears from 00:00 to 01:00 only after the first nine are recorded. Rockstar lists the event as running October 1 through November 4, 2026, and confirms that Ghosts Exposed returned with updated locations and rewards (Rockstar’s event notes). Here are all ten locations and their windows, using in-game time.

Each appearance lasts one in-game hour, which the location guide estimates is about two minutes in real time. Arrive before a window begins. For ghosts 1–9, check both nearby possible spawn positions if the first is empty; ghost 10 has one listed position (GTA Boss, 2026 guide).

The table follows GTA Boss’s October 1, 2026 location guide for one consistent route. GTA BOOM’s current guide describes some positions differently, while Rockstar’s notes confirm that locations changed without listing individual spawns (GTA BOOM, 2026 guide; Rockstar event notes). Treat the specific spots as guide-reported locations rather than an official Rockstar map list.
How to photograph and register a ghost
- Travel to the listed area before its in-game hour begins; the short appearance window can pass while you are crossing the map.
- For ghosts 1–9, check both nearby positions listed in the table.
- Open the in-game phone camera (Snapmatic), frame the ghost visibly, and take the photo.
- Choose the Ghosts Exposed send or submit option. Saving the image to the gallery alone does not submit it.
- Check the Collectibles section of the Interaction Menu or the on-screen count to make sure the photo registered.
- Before heading to Paleto Cove for ghost 10, confirm the counter shows all nine earlier photos.
GTA Boss advises keeping some distance because getting too close can make a ghost vanish. It also recommends arranging access to elevated places, such as the overpass and church tower, before the relevant window opens. These are guide-reported tips, not mechanics specified in Rockstar’s event notes.

Route planning for the hourly windows
The listed ordinary ghosts alternate between Blaine County and Los Santos, so travelling in strict clock order can leave little time to reach the next area. GTA BOOM recommends grouping the hunt into regional runs. One option described by GTA Boss is to collect ghosts 5–9 from 01:00–06:00, then return the following evening for ghosts 1–4 and the midnight final ghost. This is an efficiency suggestion, not a required order: ghosts 1–9 may be photographed in any order during their own windows.

GTA Boss’s 2026 guide reports a base reward of GTA$20,000 and 500 RP for each ghost, plus a GTA$50,000 final completion bonus. It reports GTA$250,000 and 5,000 RP for the full set at base rates, and the Ghosts Exposed Jacket for completing all ten. Rockstar confirms that rewards were updated but does not state these amounts or the jacket name in the cited notes.
