Purple Gems, Green Orbs, Mythical Gems and event-specific Summoning Stones are not interchangeable, and the available evidence does not establish a current fastest stage or reliable currency-per-hour rate. Prioritize Purple Gem upgrades that improve your account, check the live event screen for Summoning Stone costs, and compare repeatable routes in your current game version rather than trusting an old reward table.
Identify the currency before you farm
“Gems” can mean several things in Summoners Greed. Decide what you are saving for before choosing a stage or spending a currency: advice for Purple Gems does not automatically apply to Green Orbs, Mythical Gems or Summoning Stones. The game’s store listings describe earning gems and other resources, but the sources available for this guide do not establish a complete, current exchange chart for every currency. Check the in-game shop or event interface for the item you want and the currency it actually accepts.

These distinctions matter when you evaluate a “farm.” A stage can be useful for one resource and irrelevant to another, while a spending choice that accelerates general progression may be more valuable than chasing a summon currency immediately.

Spend Purple Gems to improve the account before farming convenience
A community beginner guide recommends putting Purple Gems toward permanent Double Monster Damage and Double Coins upgrades before spending them on energy refills or rock resummons. It also cautions against Purple Gem summons. Treat this as player strategy, not an official rule: the best priority depends on what you have unlocked, what is slowing your progress, and whether your goal is broad account growth or a particular summon.

Use this priority check
- Check permanent upgrades first. If Double Monster Damage or Double Coins is still available and fits your goals, weigh that lasting benefit against a one-time convenience purchase.
- Identify the bottleneck. If a stage or map is holding up progression, consider whether stronger damage or better coin income addresses the underlying problem more effectively than another attempt right now.
- Consider refills and rock resummons after upgrades. The cited guide places these later in its order. They can make sense when you have already handled the upgrades that guide prioritizes or when your immediate objective makes the convenience worthwhile.
- Keep summons goal-specific. The community guide warns against spending Purple Gems on summons. Before making an exception, confirm that the summon accepts Purple Gems and decide what account benefit you are giving up.
This sequence is a useful default, not a universal optimal build. A newer player with important permanent upgrades available has different trade-offs from someone whose immediate target is a limited event reward. Revisit the decision when your unlocked options change instead of spending simply because a currency has accumulated.
How to approach Summoning Stone farming
Special Monsters use Summoning Stones. The Apple App Store’s version 1.107.4 history, dated March 19, 2026, said: “Only 1K Summoning Stones needed to summon a Special Monster!” That is a statement about that version, not confirmation of the cost in every later event. Open the active event’s summoning interface and check its displayed price and requirements before setting a target.
The available community FAQ answers “What’s the Fastest Way to Farm Summoning Stones?” incompletely. Replies mention replaying The King waves 1–5 and taking a Watcher offer when one is available. These are older community tips to verify in your own game, not a current ranking. There is no substantiated route comparison here that supports promising the most stones per hour, a fixed offer frequency, or a guaranteed number of stones from either suggestion.

Test a route without assuming it is best
- Confirm the target and price. Check the live event interface for the Special Monster you want, its current Summoning Stone cost and any event-specific conditions.
- Record a baseline. Note your starting stone total, game version, map and difficulty, whether you are actively playing or relying on idle progress, and any offer you accept.
- Run the candidate repeatedly. For a replay suggestion such as The King waves 1–5, measure the actual sequence in your current build, including time spent restarting or returning to the relevant point.
- Separate ordinary rewards from offers. Record a Watcher offer only when it actually appears and is accepted. Do not treat an occasional offer as a guaranteed part of every run.
- Compare like with like. Use the same play mode and comparable run conditions when comparing routes. If a patch changes difficulty or waves, start a new set of observations.
- Stop when the route no longer fits your goal. A route with uncertain stone rewards may still produce other useful resources, but count those separately rather than calling them Summoning Stones.
This process gives you a local estimate for your account and version. A short test may be noisy, especially if rewards or offers vary; record several runs rather than inferring an hourly rate from a single clear.
Replay a short stage, finish a map, or take an offer?
There is no verified universal winner among replaying a short section, completing a full map and accepting an available reward offer. The right choice depends on the resource being awarded and the time and conditions needed to obtain it. A replay can be attractive if its repeat time is low; a full map may provide a larger completion reward or side resources; an offer can be worthwhile when it appears but should not be treated as reliably available.

To compare options, calculate the target currency gained divided by active minutes, counting the full time cost of finishing, failing, resetting and returning to the next run. Keep a separate record for a full stage’s reward and for optional offers. Also note whether the route requires an unlock, gives useful side resources or can progress while idle. These are measurement criteria, not published current performance results.

What to make of Joint Revenge and the old Green Orb figure
Joint Revenge appears in community farming advice: a beginner guide recommends replaying it when stuck, and an older community FAQ lists it as a resource-farming map. That makes it a reasonable candidate to test for your account, not a proven current best route for every currency.
The FAQ’s table reports 234 Green Orbs for Joint Revenge on Easy, Hard and Nightmare. It is roughly four years old, community-authored data. Treat 234 as a historical listed reward from that FAQ, not an official current payout, an independently verified result or a Gems-per-hour figure. The fact that the same number was listed across those three difficulties does not establish current rewards or current clear efficiency.
Before using Joint Revenge as a repeat farm, check what your game currently awards at the relevant difficulty and measure the time to complete and reset it. Compare that net Green Orb return with the other rewards and with your actual objective. If a newer balance update changes the difficulty, clear time or failure rate, the old recommendation may no longer have the same value.

Mythical Gems: plan around the banner, not just the balance
A developer-posted update from March 2026 distinguishes between total Mythical pity and the selected guaranteed Mythical. Total pity carries into the next event, but the selected guaranteed target is tied to the active banner and resets when that event ends. In practical terms, carrying pity forward does not preserve a target selection across a banner change.
If you are saving Mythical Gems for a particular Mythical, check the event’s end time and make sure the intended target is selected while that banner is active. Decide whether you are prepared to summon before it closes; do not assume the selection will remain for the next event. The update establishes the stated carryover and reset behavior as of March 2026, so consult the live event interface for current event details.
Recheck farming efficiency after updates
Map efficiency changes when stages, waves, difficulty or balance change. The US App Store version history lists version 1.108.17 dated September 30, 2026. Its notes report new waves on Ice Queen’s Storm, Volcano Goddess’s Eruption and Kami Pantheon’s Reckoning, lower difficulty for Normal maps after Joint Revenge and for Hard and Nightmare maps, plus other balance adjustments. Any of those changes can affect the time, failure risk or progression requirements behind a route comparison.
The Google Play listing showed an update date of September 11, 2026 when checked; the US App Store history separately lists the September 30 version. Store update dates and version histories are platform-specific evidence, so do not assume both listings describe the same release state. For a route you intend to repeat, use the version running on your device and retest after a change that affects its map or rewards.
A compact retest log
- Game version and date tested.
- Map, difficulty, wave or stage sequence, and any unlock requirements.
- Starting and ending amount of the target currency.
- Active run time, reset time, failed attempts and idle time, recorded separately.
- Whether a Watcher offer appeared and its displayed reward.
- Other resources earned, listed separately from the target currency.
With this log, a route that looks fast but has frequent failures will not be mistaken for an efficient one, and a long full-map clear can be judged against its complete reward rather than one attractive payout.

Practical decisions by progression stage
Early progression
Start by identifying the currency needed for the next meaningful upgrade or summon. If Purple Gem permanent upgrades remain available, the community guide’s damage-and-coins-first approach is a sensible baseline to evaluate. When stuck, Joint Revenge is a community-suggested repeat option, but check current rewards and clear conditions rather than relying on its older reputation or the historical 234-Orb table.
Established progression
Once you can clear several routes, measure them instead of assuming the longest map or the most difficult setting pays best. Compare the currency you actually need per active minute, include resets and failures, and count side resources separately. If you test The King waves 1–5 or accept a Watcher offer, label those results as observations from your current game version.
Saving for a limited summon
For Summoning Stones, confirm the active event’s displayed cost before setting your savings target; the 1,000-stone figure is tied to the March 19, 2026 version 1.107.4 note. For Mythical Gems, track the banner end and selected target separately from total pity, because the March 2026 developer update says the total carries but the selection resets at event close.
What is not established about the fastest farm
The available evidence does not provide a current, independently verified gems-per-hour or Summoning-Stones-per-hour statistic, nor a fresh comparison of short repeats against full-map completion and Watcher offers. It also does not establish a guaranteed offer rate or a universal route winner. Community tips can help identify candidates, but they should not be presented as proven current rankings.
That uncertainty is a reason to test rather than guess: measure the target currency, full time cost and current version in your own game, then repeat the comparison when a relevant update changes the route. A number without its version, map, difficulty, play conditions and offer treatment would be misleading as a general farming promise.
